Pope approves blessings for same-sex couples
if the rituals don’t resemble marriage

ROME — Pope Francis has formally approved allowing priests to bless same-sex couples, with a new document explaining a radical change in Vatican policy by insisting that people seeking God’s love and mercy shouldn’t be subject to “an exhaustive moral analysis” to receive it. The document from the Vatican’s doctrine office, released Monday, elaborates on a letter Francis sent to two conservative cardinals that was published in October. In that preliminary response, Francis suggested such blessings could be offered under some circumstances if they didn’t confuse the ritual with the sacrament of marriage.

These “couples” are blatantly living in an extreme case of mortal sin. Until they confess, repent and “go and sin no more” they should not receive a bloody thing from the Catholic Church.

“Get behind me satan!” Our Lord recognized that even Peter can get going down the wrong road. Fortunately there will always be a new pope. Francis has done nothing but drive Catholics out of church. His has fixated on driving a new catechism, coddling UNREPENTANT sinners, taking ignorant, ill informed political positions and condemning the faithful for not agreeing. He has refused to take the steps necessary to ensure the sanctity of the priesthood and dismiss errant bishops. What to do? Hang on and pray for a new pope OR find a nearby Orthodox Church and move on.

Camel's nose under the tent? What's first permitted soon become normal, and then mandatory. The first of those steps has been taken. If it moves to the second step, I may have to step away. I will pray for the conversion of people holding on to sinful lifestyles. But I will not bless the counterfeit 'marriages'.

To add to what another poster has said about excommunicating divorced Catholics. My now deceased mother-in-law stopped taking Communion because the Church told her using birth control was a sin. I shake my head in disbelief when I think of this and read about the Pope's latest dictate. Like our country, the Catholic Church's foundation is crumbling before our eyes.

Read an article on One Peter Five.com by Henry Sire, "Pope Francis - How Much Lower Could We Sink?", dated December 11, 2023. Sire lived and worked in Rome the first four years of Francis' pontificate and decided he'd write his biography. Mr. Sire's heritage is part-Spanish, so he spent time in Argentina where he did interviews and researched books and articles written about him. I have not read his book, but this article gives us some background as to why the Pope might make the decisions he does. Enlightening.

This flies in the face of centuries-old Catholic doctrine as it relates to marriage. The creative union between God and His people is mirrored in the creative union between men and women: ever faithful and bringing forth new life. This pope is an apostate, as are all who surround him. I fully expect a schism in The Church, sooner rather than later.

Ford Slashing EV Production in Half Next Year 15 replies

By now, most of us have seen the reluctant reporting from media outlets checking in with vehicle dealerships around the United States. Car lots are filled with electric vehicles, many with their original sales prices reduced. Most people simply aren’t interested in purchasing an EV despite any mandates being issued by state governments or the White House. There are various reasons for this, including the high cost of these vehicles (despite generous, taxpayer-funded rebates) and the uncertainty of there being sufficient charging stations to keep them running. Now Ford has seemingly woken up to the reality of the situation. In 2024, they will be drastically cutting their production

When you have seasoned criminals running the legislative process, it should come as no surprise that you get a government saturated with theft, money laundering, and corruption. Yesterday, The Wall Street Journal published a new report, revealing this: Electric-vehicle sales growth hit a speed bump in the U.S. this year, and the impact is being felt throughout the industry. The authors of the article suggest that the “relatively high prices” of E.V.s might have something to do with the people’s “hesitancy” to make the switch—because apparently the average $54k for an E.V. (which is $5k more than the average gas vehicle) is only a “relatively high” cost for a car. They also noted

In a move worthy of any aspiring tyrant, Special Counsel Jack Smith is asking the court to prevent Donald Trump from making arguments that he believes are relevant to his defense. Smith, as the prosecutor, may disagree with Trump’s arguments, but last I checked, in our justice system, it is up to a jury to determine the facts of a case. Smith’s sweeping motion would essentially silence Trump–preventing him from criticizing the Special Counsel, law enforcement, the electoral process, or just about anything else. The Michigan Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected an attempt to remove former President Trump from the state’s primary ballot under the 14th Amendment’s insurrection ban. A liberal-leaning group had appealed a state appeals court ruling that concluded, regardless of whether the 14th Amendment disqualifies Trump from holding office, Michigan’s secretary of state lacks the legal authority to remove him from the ballot. The state’s highest court, controlled by Democrats, let that lower ruling stand, saying in an unsigned order that it was “not persuaded that the questions presented should be reviewed by this Court.” The decision hands a legal victory for Trump as his lawyers seek to stave off
