Democratic New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy called on Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., to resign following a federal indictment.
U.S. Attorney Damian Williams announced the indictment Friday morning at a press conference.
"Today, I'm announcing that my office has obtained a three count indictment charging Senator Robert Menendez, his wife, Nadine Menendez, and three New Jersey businessmen, Wael Hana, Jose Uribe and Fred Daibes for bribery offenses," U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said at a press conference on Friday morning.

Protocol and professionalism has been replaced with populism and identity politics. It seems as if every branch of the government has become ineffective. Leadership is intertwined with corruption and civility/discipline is no longer necessary to these self-serving individuals.
Truly sad. . .

You can pretty much guaranty almost every person in Congress is on the take. Their personal balance sheets tell the real story. Our country has become rotten to the core. We have become Rome in its final days.

Mendacious Menendez will still get all the perks he wanted and expected. He just won't have to go to the office every day. A crony or two might even keep on paying him when he whines that he's lost his job.

"Democratic New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy called on Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., to resign". Communist death democrat pot meet communist death democrat kettle. Revolting hypocrisy by the equally corrupt Murphy.

I am pretty sure Menendez is a crook, a lot of them are.
I wonder what made him the scapegoat for the Democrats to take the heat off Joe Biden.

It's about optics and convenience. Indictment a known corrupt democrat from a SAFE democrat seat, so that they can claim there is no two tiered justice system. Take Biden off of the front page for a few days. (They didn't have another Trump indictment ready). And reward some other democrat with an appointment.
There is no downside for the democrat party.

Yea now. That's it Murphy, act like the tough guy now. Over a year after the search warrants were completed. Murphy knew about this over a year ago but now is the right time politically to hang the guy. You see democrats have saved this little nugget until they needed it. To draw attention away from Biden who is fading before our eyes. Everything they do is a calculated move. Make no mistake, these are pure communists at work. Got it.

It's very difficult to embarrass the state of New Jersey but Big Phil Murphy felt the need to hurry up and distance himself from one of his own who got caught multiple times with his fat snout in the trough. Like the legions of crooked lawyers that we must endure, 95% of congressional democrats continue to give the rest of the democrats a bad name. If this indictment was meant to add to the gaggle of sighted squirrels that are being used to detract from the crimes of the Biden Crime Family, it fizzled as well. Our eyes are still on you and your pathetic son, Joe. I make the sign of the cross every time I see you, Joe, like you did to Netanyahu but that's only because I can't get close enough to throw Holy Water on you.

Democrats act like they didn't know what was going on, or at least suspected.
After all, I'm sure they have detailed information on everyone in political office.
The corporations who are working with and supporting them should be concerned about their exposure to violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) based on their affiliation.

Might I suggest that Bob make his way to Mexico. Walk across the Rio Grande into TX. Declare that you expect Uncle Sam to feed you, clothe you, house you, give you medical care and forgive you for any crimes you committed. Move to NYC and lives the high life with the other Latinos.

Not likely. He skated on the last indictment. He'll figure he can do it again. And since he's a Dim, he may be right.

Little of this story makes sense, it seems to involve Bob helping his soon-to-be wife get her mortgage back above water with the help of some friends with funny last names.
All in all it seems trivial, less than 1 million bucks. That's chump-change in Washington. What did Bob really do to get him in this fix?

Menendez is a professional politician. As is Bide, Obama, the Bushes, Romney Bernie’s Sanders.......that professionalisms has resulted in consolidation and insulation of political power, larger government .
