President Joe Biden made a false claim on Monday when he said that he “literally” convinced former Dixiecrat Sen. Strom Thurmond (SC) to vote for the Civil Rights Act.
The president made his outlandish claim while speaking on the 60th anniversary of the founding of the civil rights legal group, the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. “Pause for just a moment. I thought things had changed. I was able to literally, not figuratively, talk Strom Thurmond into voting for the Civil Rights Act before he died, and I thought, ‘Well maybe there’s real progress,’ But hate never dies. It just hides, it hides under the rocks,” he said.

He’s out of his gourd. And the WH says he meant the civil rights act of 1980, proving they are as nuts as he: there was no 1980 civil rights act.

From the individual - Joey Baby - who used the N-word in 1985.

The Civil Rights Act, which passed with more Republican than Democrat support, was passed nine years before Depends entered the Senate. When is the man in the clean white coat with the butterfly net going to capture the artless liar Joe and take him away to some nice happy nursing home? Liars will burn.

And he convinced Strom Thurmond to vote for civil rights before he convinced Bob Byrd to join the KKK and become Grand Kleagle

Joe voted as an "Independent," while in college obtaining his Poli-Sci degree when the Civil Rights Act was voted on in the Senate. Joey, as the Class President of the University of Delaware, must have been incredibly influential to have not only known Sen. Strom Thurmond from South Carolina, but to have been able to change his vote on the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Joe was probably more concerned with how he was going to get into Law School with the abysmal grades he was racking up as an undergrad.
Joe reminds me of the movie "Forest Gump," in that throughout the movie, Forest was flashbacked to be standing near history events during his make-believe life. He's Forest's little brother, 'Robinette' Gump.

There is no evidence of this, but Biden did proclaim he was proud that Delaware was a slave state.

Ho hum. If I were in a window-encircled room, with the drapes open, at high noon with no clouds in the sky, and if Joe Biden told me the sun was shining, I'd still look out the window before I believed him.
Every word out of that corrupt blowhard is a lie. Including the "a, an, and the."

Well, the problem is ... Biden doesn't know what the word "literally" means and he's lying about the "not figuratively" part.

I cannot find any reference to a 1980 voting rights act but the media won't mention it and the dim voters won't bother to check. In a recent poll 69% of dims did not believe bidet is fit for another term. They will still vote for him.

People with dementia have false memories. They actually think these things are true even though they are presented with facts showing that they are not. My Mother in Law had dementia and told us that her nieces husband had no legs even after we showed her a picture of him standing next to his wife. She insisted he had no legs even after being shown proof that she was wrong.

Any time Biden says “literally”, he’s lying - just like Obama when he said “folks”.

Yet, in the face of Biden's repeated lies about everything, the dems refused to believe the young woman working in his office who revealed that he snuggled up to her and digitally raped her. When she pushed him away, he said, "I was told you liked me."

At that time Biden was one of the most blatant racists in Washington DC. He is still one of the biggest racists in DC, it's just that now he's trying to hide it.
