The number one problem Joe Biden faces going into his re-election bid is the economy. It stinks. A majority of Americans think it stinks. Almost every previous presidential election was based on the voter’s perspective on the economy. Ronald Reagan’s question still haunts all incumbents: “Are you better off today than you were four years ago?”
The pandemic and the economic fallout from business closings, supply chain disruptions, and $5.2 trillion in government spending — which led to a painful spike in inflation — have made the Reagan question somewhat irrelevant. The economy has come roaring back to almost where Trump left it.
But people’s perspective on the economy is still clouded.

"roaring back"? Am I missing something here? Inflation is high. Mortage rates have crossed 7%. Jobs created numbers are bogus. For the first time in US history a half gallon carton of milk has become the highest bought item in grocery stores beating the gallon carton. That is the most damning evidence against "roaring back"..

No, Rick. The number one problem is massive corruption in the federal government. Not only does it go unchecked, but it is getting worse each day. The surveillance state is making sure it gets worse, a lot worse. The destruction of America is the second problem. America's mental health crisis is the third problem. The economy is America's fourth problem. The dying US Dollar is America's fifth problem. The {fill in the blank} is America's sixth problem...

Today he will be retreating to his beachside lair after a brief tour of the Florida hurricane damage. He needs his 3-day weekend nap.

Not sure they are hiding anything. What better way to show our representative form of government is failing? The people voted for a vegetable. The hate America crowd think that's funny.

Regardless of mounting evidence of corruption, of debilitation, and of passing « peak biden » (good, bad, or indifferent); the basic charges of the president are to execute our laws faithfully, preserve, protect, and direct the Constitution, command the armed forces, make identified appointments, receive ambassadors, and make reports to congress. We all have different opinions…I do not think my lot has improved since the last presidential election, documentably he is not executing laws faithfully, he treads on the constitution (as witnessed by numerous losses in court), and the president clearly does not have the construction power to arm civil agencies, He needs to be lawfully ejected from office

Hey Rick do you not eat or own a car? Maybe you need to take a trip to the grocery and stop and get some gas while you're out. This is certainly not Trump's economy.

Roaring back? Regular gas is going for $3.59 where I live. That’s about double what it was when Trump left office.

I would say that by this coming November that the Democrats are going have to either take a decision to get Biden re-elected or come up with a New Democrat ticket to run in 2024.
