Early Reports From Zaporizhzhia Front;
Unhappy Poles

Original Article

Before we get to reports from the war front, I’ll quickly reference the point that Alex Mercouris made this morning that sets out what this futile Ukrainian offensive is really all about. Mercouris cites a WaPo article (snip) with a bit of happy talk about the wonderful offensive, but the subtext is that the US is scrambling to use this to put a “frozen conflict” in place. A “frozen conflict”, of course, would mark an eastward advance of NATO. By contrast, in the last few days Russian spokesmen close to Putin have begun to openly speak of regime change in Kiev and even full annexation of all of Ukraine.

Comments:

“Frozen conflict”? Wauck doubts the Russians have that in mind. (Where is Blinken hiding these days? In Zhou’s basement?)

Wauck must have been bitten by one of those "Ukranian wife" scams or something. He is really, really deranged on his Ukraine hatred.

Not hatred. Just curiosity. Like where did all the money go and why did the arms we gave Ukraine wind up with the Mexican cartels?

I would challenge anyone who imagines that they have a good idea on what is happening between Russia and Ukraine to watch this video. Learn something new, and listen all the way through many crucial points are made in the last 1/4th of the discussion. This man has a lot of excellent points to make on how Russia actually works, which is very different from what most people believe to be true. And he is correct, based on my decade of travel and doing business in the country from the early 2000s to the 20-teens. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbHLrH9Q_E4

I need to get this out of the way up front. I’m disappointed in one of my go-to legal analysts, Jonathan Turley. I understand that he’s a buddy of Bluto Barr and that—having read between the lines over the preceding several years—he’s probably a Never Trumper at heart, despite his fairminded handling of the faux impeachments. I expected better of him here.Onward. CTH has been hammering away on the Espionage Act angle—793(e). And with good reason. Obviously CTH is getting some good legal advice. Here CTH highlights a common misunderstanding. Violations of the Espionage Act need not involve “classified” documents. In fact, the entire classification system is a post WW2 innovation:

Everything from here on out is a theory, but it's a theory based upon readily available facts. If you look at them in a particular way, those readily available facts show a sustained pattern of subverting the will of the people to obtain total political power, something that culminated in the recently announced indictment against Donald Trump. If I were trying to overthrow a duly elected president, I'd start by saying he conspired with a foreign power to cheat in the election. I'd believe I could get away with this charge because I would have the media on my side, (snip). It would help that members of the
Trump Can Run for President While Being

Former President Donald Trump can still continue to run for president in 2024 after he announced that he’s being federally indicted on charges relating to whether he mishandled classified records, according to legal experts. After Trump was charged by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office earlier this year in a separate case, some noted that the U.S. Constitution only requires that a candidate be a natural-born citizen, at least 35 years old, and be a resident of the United States for at least 14 years. Retired Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz told The Epoch Times in March that Trump could run—and serve—”from prison” if he is convicted and sentenced.

In a good segment of encapsulation, Newsmax host Greg Kelly does a great job outlining how the National Archives and Record Administration (NARA) created a double-standard specifically to target President Donald Trump after he left office.(snip) Kelly highlights remarks by former Trump attorney Timothy Parlatore who was responsible for trying to reconcile the issues that NARA had created. I’ve also included further context with video segments from Tim Parlatore below. (snip)The letter is fascinating because it outlines how the process of moving documents from the White House was weaponized by a politically motivated National Archives and Records Administration (“NARA”), and the letter also gives fulsome context

The indictment of President Trump is hooey. Washington no more cares about national security than it cares about Poca Dot football or whether I finally am allowed by my wife to buy that Bentley. I don’t know about the leaders in your state, but in West Virginia they stand with the people, the president and the Constitution. Attorney General Patrick Morrisey tweeted, “Here we go again with another political prosecution. I think every American (including the other Presidential candidates) should speak out against having two different systems of justice. No double standards!”

A correctional counselor in New York City, Vanbuckley has been living with her parents and tucking as much money as possible into her savings account. "I'm gonna have to dip into my savings to start paying back on August 29," she said, mentioning the day that payments for direct federal student loans are set to resume. "And now that kind of hinders the goals I had set for myself for the next couple of years."

The U.S. State Department on Tuesday issued a travel advisory for U.S. citizens traveling to the Dominican Republic due to a recent increase in sexual assaults and violent crime. A yellow-colored, level two advisory was issued for travelers going to the Caribbean tourist hotspot that they should “exercise increased caution,” according to the bulletin. “Violent crime, including armed robbery, homicide and sexual assault is a concern throughout the Dominican Republic,” said the State Department in its advisory. “The wide availability of weapons, the use and trade of illicit drugs, and a weak criminal justice system contribute to the high level of criminality on the broader scale.”

Last Thursday, in the DC District swamp, the jury for the Jan. 6 trial in the case of USA v K. Joseph Thomas produced a stunning verdict, bringing the government’s narrative to its knees. The testimony of crooked prosecution witness MPD Police Officer Campanale was shattered by the defense team as his accusations against the defendant proved with the government’s own evidentiary video that he accused Thomas of crimes he committed himself. Campanale and other officers of the MPD had cut the tarps on the bleachers before any protestors were under the bleachers.

It is true that both the growing deficit and long-term stability of Social Security are valid concerns that should draw the attention of Americans.
