WASHINGTON— The Republican chairman of the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday called off a vote on a contempt of Congress charge against FBI Director Christopher Wray, accepting a last-minute offer by the bureau to allow the full committee access to a confidential document of an unverified tip about President Joe Biden.
Rep. James Comer said in a statement that the committee is removing a contempt resolution against Wray from Thursday’s schedule after receiving an accommodation that would give the full committee access to the document.
“Allowing all Oversight Committee members to review this record is an important step toward conducting oversight of the FBI and holding it accountable to the American people,”

There has been and continues to be speculation that there is much going on behind the scenes so patriots would be wise to be patient and prayerful. Not yet time to despair.

It’s always time to be prayerful… 3x/day like David.
Remember this is DC, and AP reporting…
Extra prayers for wisdom and courage for our GOP House, and let your local Reps know we are paying attention.
McCarthy needs our prayers… as does Biden. These are critical times.
But always His Promise, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage.’

#2 – Not entirely correct. The House and Senate Sargent at Arms has the legal authority to “detain” anyone who violates the rules or is held in contempt. Senator Bob Packwood was detained and forcibly brought to the floor of the Senate in 1988. Senator William MacCracken was arrested and detained for contempt in 1934. After trial in the Senate he went to jail for 10 days.

What in the hell is good about a redacted document?
Republicans cave again.

It will be heavily redacted to water down the incriminating evidence because this DOJ is the most corrupt DOJ in history, and not ashamed of it, which is saying something.

Republican Congress is so EASY like a quickie short-time dollar call girl on the streets of Chicago. Arrest clueless idiot Wray first, and let him beg for a deal to turn in every incriminating document on BiteMe Diaper Crime Family members.

Should have gone through with the vote and held it in reserve.

It seems that Comer and the rest of the Gang Who Couldn't Shoot Straight are the only ones in America to do not know that Wray has nothing but contempt for Congress.

Allowing the full committee to see it is not the same as releasing it to the public. Comer should know that every one of the democrats on the committee are going to swear in front of the cameras that it was a waste of time, and that every mainstream news organization is going to play those clips nonstop. Release the document or file the contempt charges.

Wray has agreed to cooperate before and then pulled the football away from Charlie Brown. He will not take action until they turn the vise tighter and he begins to hurt. The people holding the vise are not all that forceful or reliable.
