A cigar that was once smoked by Winston Churchill is set to be auctioned alongside a handwritten note and the jar it was once stored in.
Churchill, the British prime minister who led the United Kingdom through most of World War II, gave the cigar as a memento in August 1944 to Hugh Stonehewer-Bird, the consul general in Rabat, Morocco. “It’s amazing what turns up in glass jars. This is an iconic piece of memorabilia connected to one of Britain’s most famous prime ministers and the Second World War,” said Charles Hanson, the owner of the auction house selling the unique item.

Senator Tim Scott announced Saturday that he will be appearing on 'The View' on Monday, after speaking out against Joy Behar's claim that he doesn't understand racism.
The African-American 2024 hopeful said he wanted the chance to respond to the claims.
And it offers him a huge national stage to present himself as a different type of Republican candidate. But he may miss out on the chance to go head to head with Behar as Monday is generally her day off.

Bargaining over toughening work requirements for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as food stamps, became the focal point for the White House and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., up until the end. Negotiators from both sides made clear, publicly and privately, that it was the biggest area of disagreemen

World leaders see a “weak” and “failing” president who has been incapable of leading, Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) said during an interview on Breitbart News Saturday, days after President Biden’s tumble at the Air Force Academy.
“I don’t think you have to be a physician to understand when someone is failing,” Marshall, who happens to be a physician, said.“And he’s at that magic age. We’ve all seen it happen to our parents or grandparents, aunts and uncles,” he said, explaining that “they become very frail” and “mental aptitude goes down.”
