They were hopping mad at Rahm Emanuel, the man whom Washington sent a little over a year ago to do its business in Japan. And what does that business entail? Emmanuel should be recalled immediately and reassigned to Saudi Arabia where they will know how to appropriately handle this. Apologies to our Japanese allies. I went to Japan six times in my career. You don’t talk politics and certainly don’t dictate culture there.
