The boycott against Bud Light has been going for two months now since they endorsed transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney’s “365 Days of Being a Girl.”
Normally, you might have expected such a thing to wane over time. Yet if anything, it seems to be deepening and getting worse. It’s held fast through Memorial Day weekend with a lot of supply left on the shelves and in the aisles, despite Bud Light even offering it for sale for essentially free. That doesn’t spell good news for Bud Light and its parent Anheuser-Busch, which was using Memorial Day as a marker to see if they can pull back any

People are finally fed up with all these perversions trying to go main stream. I suspect these types of boycotts will spread. At least I hope so.

Said in taverns and watering holes all across this great nation: "Hey podner, If you're drinkin' a Bud Light, you must be one of them sissy boys." Unlikely that sales will rebound.

Sales down nearly a third. This could be long term. Bud Light has become both a rallying cry and the poster child for people's frustration with all the grooming of children and the whole woke mess.

This is just wonderful news.
About 25 years ago, the then British owners of Smith and Wesson, an old American handgun company, made a deal with Bill Clinton, agreeing to support gun control laws.
WShen the word got out, &W's sales dropped like a rock and stayed way low until after many months of huge losses, the Brits sold the company to progun American owners. After the new American owners abrogated the gun control deal with Clinton, S&W sales slowly came back, as more gun buyers found out that the pro gun control Brits were no longer owners.
Perhaps the pro trans Belgians owners of A-B can be forced to sell A-B back to some patriotic Americans if they get hit hard enough and long enough.

Maybe they should rename it Bud Light-in-the-Loafers.

If some woke millennial lost me billions of dollars, she would not be around long. She's probably hiding in the Clydesdale stables where she blends in.

The AB management doubled the damage, which could have been minimized if they had (1) declared the trans campaign to have been unauthorized and a mistake, (2) fired the responsible persons (possibly including the CEO), (3) apologized for the mistake, (4) pledged not to repeat, and (5) sent free beer certificates to consumers as a makeup offering. This debacle could not have been handled worse. It is not too late to fire people, but it is probably too late to recover the lost business any time soon if ever.

Seems like the market for rice beer is rather limited these days.
A lot craft and boutique brewers have given real men a chance to taste real beer again.
Even if InBev fired the entire A/B corporate suite, I doubt they would see any gain in market share.
So I'll repeat my earlier sentiments here- Yippee Ki Yay...you know the rest of that line...

To qualify a statement I made on another thread - I find Bud Light's woes delicious to observe.
My post on the other thread was not intended to say that we cannot make a difference, on a case-by-case basis.
It's just that the corporate world is like Deep State.

I haven't been in Target in at least a year...I haven't contributed to The Salvation Army in four years...I don't drink beer, but I can certainly enjoy watching the painful writhings of the companies who insist on emposing their wokeness on people who (in a normal world) could care less about the silly woke rules and forcing the rest of us to comply.
I have always been a live and let live kind of person, but I have a liberal sister who wants to correct and fix her family so we can be as happy as she virtue signals her piety and tells us she is a Republican! None of us have identified as the big R in years. We are Conservatives. SSHHHHHH.......that is how you know who is in the secret club and who isn't.

Sales are down a lot worse than 30%. Went to a music festival with thousands of people over memorial day and only saw 1 person drinking a Bud light. There were a lot more drinking Michelob Ultra than usual.

Scalps on the wall. We need them. The corporate oligarchs need to get the message. Stay out of politics, or else.

Bed Bath & Beyond is no more, Target is on target to continue to lose billions. Now the best news ever is Bud Light can't be given away at stores, restaurants, nightclubs and bars. Case in point. I went to the NEX package store last week to get Memorial Day adult beverages and saw the BL blue boxes everywhere. Hardly no one was buying it. Bud Light has made both regular people and homosexuals mad with their initial wokeness and back peddling. It's going to be a long summer for them.

No difference, #15. Michelob is owned by Anheuser Busch, too.

First AB. The next is Target. Losing 12 billion dollars in sales isn't a winning business strategy. Is the ESG rating really worth losing that much money?
