California Gov. Gavin Newsom is reportedly considering appointing Oprah Winfrey to the Senate should Dianne Feinstein retire early.
Newsom has promised to appoint a black woman to the seat, and Oprah is one among a list of contenders he's considering, according to the Associated Press.
Appointing Winfrey would spare Newsom from tipping the scales in California's contentious primary race in 2024. In that case, the celebrity talk show host would serve as a place holder who would not pursue the seat for a full six-year term.
Newsom's office could not be reached for comment on the matter.

How about Meghan Markle as she fits into a lot of the Democrat identity politics slots and is currently unemployed?

Oh, please LOL However, I wouldn't put it past him. Won't this honk of Adam Sch***? Maybe he could just identify as a black woman, yeah, that's the ticket. Qualifications be damned.

Is there anyone more racist and sexist and evil than a modern Demon-Rat?!?!?!?
And, even sadder, Gruesome Newsom doesn't even think he can find a qualified affirmative action black woman in Cuba-fornia so he is going to Chicago to get a Senator to replace Feinstein.

Doesn't a Senator have to be from the state he or she represents? But then, Mitt Romney isn't.

Gavin: "Diane is stepping down, want to be a senator?"
Oprah: "Sure!"
Gavin: "OK, it will be announced tomorrow. Meanwhile, have you heard that I have started a Presidential PAC?"
Oprah: "How much?"

Senator Oprah Winfrey? That would be a step down for her. She gets more wealth and influence where she is currently at than she ever would in the Senate. Not believing this.

Given Feinstein's Biden-like vegetative state, almost anybody could replace her. Seems like she wants to die being called "Senator" just like Captain Oldsmobile did. Sure, bring in Oprah, she's just as qualified as anybody else now sitting in Washington.

No, it will be Whoopi Goldberg who can be a sage and a fashion icon at the same time. Californians will jump up and down with glee having another ugly faced stupid woman, and Black to boot, in office.

What a joke!!....oprah is not interested....but it sells newspapers...doesn't it...and the Daily Mail of the UK is always looking for excitement to get more readers...as to any chances of a political oprah...it would cut into her fly time in her jet...polluting the air....never did like her even when she was in Chicago at Harpo studios....

Proof positive that an already cheap position (Senator) is cheaper still.
And proof that Washington DC is nothing more than Hollywood For Ugly People.

Can you imagine the entourage Oprah would have to have trailing around with her, her make-up RV, her wardrobe, her masseuse, her diction coach, her mani- pedi- salon, her dietician (wouldn't be seen in the Congressional dining area with all those nonentities), and on and on? No, O wouldn't like having to be on time for votes, either. At this stage in her life, she's not used to keeping show time schedules anymore.
This would go for MoBO, too, even if it were the White House, which she detests, as she has said.

DM needs to catch up. Oprah has said elsewhere she is not interested in the seat. Would not be surprised if Gavin Newscum decided to appoint himself to fill any seat upon a resignation.
