A report today in Politico states the next Senate Leader, the heir to the McConnell legacy, John Thune, will be endorsing South Carolina Tim Scott for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. This approach makes sense, because the modern Senate is a rogue division within the modern branches of government.
The modern Senate has unique corrupt interests that are specific to the upper chamber, and those interests must be defended from any possibility of diminished influence. The current U.S. senate does not consider themselves to be a co-equal branch, especially since they created the weaponized intelligence apparatus to give them greater power.
The Senate is where the DeceptiCons rule with targeted
Thune is running for RINO of the year.

The aim is to split the Trump vote, but the reality is all it does is split the RINO vote.

Scott endorsed Murkowski in 2022. See how it works?

Gee. I was thinking that Scott might be a good choice for Trump's VP.
But with all that swamp residue, never mind.

I'm surprised! I did not know that South Dakota could breed RINOs. The governor, Kristi Noem, has RINO sniffles from time to time, but Senator Thune removes all doubt.

#3 is right - all Scott will do is take votes from DeSantis.

The fact that Scott is black is a positive, I think. He won’t win, probably, but we don’t know what next year will look like.till it happens. Thune is a thumb-sucking bed-wettingjerk. The kind of guy who can’t pass a mirror without looking at himself. His address is so far away from where we the people live. We are screwed with peckerwoods like Thune. Can we get another choice other than him?

Did Thune really say this? Has he lost his mind?

Of course the establishment always has their moderate voices they back. Just like they backed RINOs McCain and Romney, and wanted to get behind Jeb Bush as the anointed one, but Trump destroyed their establishment reign.

Jim and John, who gives a flip? You're both irrelevant. Who is John Thune, and who is Tim Scott?

Let’s not play into the Democrats’ hands. Please just let the primary process unfold. President Trump, Tim Scott, and Ron DeSantis are all good men, and would be a vast improvement over Biden. Automatically dismissing anyone who isn’t Trump — especially with nasty assertions and innuendos — won’t help Trump and will divide the conservative vote.

Just as Reagan had to take Bush as a door prize from the RNC, Trump might have to consider Scott attached to the RNC to get some support he doesn't have. Trump knows the art of the deal. Scott clearly is hooked to the establishment. But if he gives Trump something he doesn't have when the time comes, there you are.

In other words, Thune, the senate needs to protect its financial interests, right?

Tim Scott as Trump’s running mate would be very unfortunate, to say the least. Consider him a member in good standing of the Never Trump wing of the party.
He was the Profile in Courage who, last August, when asked about the Mar-a-lago raid by the FBI, replied “We need to let this play out.”
Stand-up guy, our Tim. Just the fellow you want at your side when you take on the Deep State and DC corruption should Trump manage to get back in the White House again.
Leave him to Mitch McConnell, John Thune, and Lisa Murkowski, and his other chums in the RNC establishment.

Need we say anything more about the Senator Tim Scott announcement to run for POTUS? One of the proud, unashamed, globalist Bush Republicans can’t endorse him fast enough. It says it all.
