A professor at a New York City art college has drawn the ire of social media after a video showed her hurling obscenities at pro life students over a display at their school that she eventually destroyed. Shellyne Rodriguez, 46, is an adjunct professor at the School of Visual Arts and Hunter College in the Big Apple. She's also an artist and activist who claims her work 'utilizes text, drawing, painting, collage and sculpture to depict spaces and subjects engaged in strategies of survival against erasure and subjugation,' according to her bio.

Anyone think that if a conservative professor (even one with tenure) were to do this to a pro-abortion group, that she wouldn't be fired on the spot? No investigation needed -- just drag her off campus and throw her in the street? Hopefully the college will get enough outrage over this where they will have to fire her. But given what a lie-beral cesspool colleges have become, I'm guessing they will try to just ride this out --- knowing the sheeple have short attention spans...

Being irate for the "benefit of others", like being totalitarian for the "benefit of others", is a pretense. The good professor needs to be squashed. Not for the "benefit of others", of course. But for her own actions.

Does the term "academic freedom" ever get mentioned anymore in our "schools of higher learning"? Academic freedom used to be one of the great privileges of attending college. You could talk and argue and listen and read and discuss, and maybe sometimes you'd come up with some truths, but you had a right to your opinion, and sometimes you might even end up being friends.

Ron DeSantis appeared to compare his own military service to Donald Trump's draft-dodging when asked how he'd cope with insults hurled by the former president. Speaking to Fox News on Wednesday night, the Florida governor said such jibes would pale in comparison to the hardships experienced by service personnel - with the lawmaker himself once serving as a Navy lawyer. Trump, by comparison, dodged being drafted into the Vietnam War by claiming he suffered from bone spurs, with DeSantis seemingly keen to highlight the ex-president's much-mocked excuse.

Newsom has promised to appoint a black woman to the seat, and Oprah is one among a list of contenders he's considering, according to the Associated Press. Appointing Winfrey would spare Newsom from tipping the scales in California's contentious primary race in 2024. In that case, the celebrity talk show host would serve as a place holder who would not pursue the seat for a full six-year term. Newsom's office could not be reached for comment on the matter.

Immediately, speculation that the driver was a “white supremacist” after a Nazi flag was allegedly pulled from the wreck. In fact, the flag was spread out and displayed for reporters by the FBI agents on the scene. Why did they do that? Someone will have to ask them, but the narrative became a lot more complicated after the driver was identified as Sai Varshith Kandula. Needless to say, he didn’t exactly fit the “white supremacist” profile. Now, in a move that is sure to spark much speculation, the DOJ has suddenly downgraded the charges involved.
