Bud Light now appears to be giving its beer away for free, following its disastrous partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
The beer company is being mocked online for offering a $20 rebate on unsold cases worth just $19.98.
America's flagship beer brand and its parent company, Anheuser-Busch, has been in damage control since Mulvaney shared a series of partnered posts with her 11 million social media followers on April 1.

Just make beer! People are buying beer from people who make beer.
This isn't rocket science.
AB needs to fire all the people who aren't making beer or distributing beer or selling beer.

They might have had a better sales campaign with featuring Tinkerbell as the spokes-fairy. Nah, their b.s. "Lite" brand was destined to be roundly rejected as Pepsi Free, Diet Coke, and Tab were. I couldn't even stomach their regular rice beer.

Anheuser-Busch should shelve the brand for a year and submit a groveling apology to all its customers, Bud Light and other labels not involved in the controversy. The company will not do that because leadership consists of woke MBAs with, quite frankly, their heads up their asses. With new, macho leadership A-B might recover, but the sissies running the company will not let that happen. Even Miller Lite seems to have come down with woke sniffles. What is it with these 'big beer' dorks?

Decades ago I took my first and only sip of Bud Light.
I determined that it must have been produced by the Clydesdales and as such I found comfort in some other brands.
I feel rather proud about being a pioneer in the boycott of Bud Light.

Actually this isn't such a bad idea.
The beer has a sell by date right on the can and some people actually read that and think the beer goes bad, it doesn't of course , but anyway if it reaches it's sell by date it won't sell So if they can give away the beer the people that drank it before may start drinking it again and come back to Bud Light. It could work. Worth a try.

I suspect the bigger problem is once you loose people they never go back, people get in the habit of buying another brand and see no reason to change. What makes their problem worse is nobody ever thought it was a great beer just acceptable.

Market forces.
If a product has lots of competition, you have to work to keep your customers.
Once you lose your customers to a competitor, it is hard to get them back.
You would think that they would teach that at Ivy League MBA schools.

Yep! The unsold Bud Light is piling up on the shelves, right next to the unsold Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition magazines with the image of the 'male' wearing a woman's swimsuit on the cove.
