Here Are The Times Liberal Justices Had
Political Entanglements That Were Largely

Democratic lawmakers now attacking Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas over supposed ethics violations have largely avoided calling out similar behavior from the high court’s liberal justices. Following the ProPublica report on Clarence Thomas’ vacations, which were paid for by long-time friend and billionaire real estate developer Harlan Crow, Democrats urged him to resign and began calling for a new Supreme Court code of ethics. But, they have overlooked the political entanglements of liberal justices—including trips former Justice Stephen Breyer took that were funded by a Democrat donor, and the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s connection to a left-wing feminist group, among others.

Comments:

Breyer alone took 219 trips that others paid for, including a Democrat donor. We all recognize that the left has decided to take over the Supreme Court, one of the few institutions they don't already own, and the last bastion against a totalitarian state.

Which liberal 'Justice' helped author Obama care, and then refused to recuse herself from court deliberations on it?

And what did the GOP do? NOTHING! No offense, EVER--and when they manage it, only pitiful defense, always looking for a way to "come together." It is no wonder at all that we are losing the cultural war, along with every other "war" against the communist left.

New analysis shows statins have "minimal" benefits 22 replies

My friend and colleague, Dr. Maryanne Demasi has been studying the use of statins for years. She just had her meta analysis published in "JAMA Internal Medicine." This is an extremely important paper.(snip)The public health mantra about cholesterol has always been “the lower, the better.” This has been reflected in expert guidelines which have called on doctors to aggressively lower their patient’s ‘bad’ LDL-cholesterol (LDL-C) with statin drugs to prevent heart disease. However, our new analysis published in JAMA Internal Medicine (paywalled) challenges that notion. Over the years, influential researchers such as the Cholesterol Treatment Trialists (CTT) at Oxford University, have monopolised the scientific debate on statins. But there are three problems with the various CTT analyses:

It is profoundly un-Christian to rejoice in the misery of one’s opponents, but it is, admit, always nice to know about it.(Snip) Our new class of monster reductionists, who get all their prestige and money from delimiting the lives of others, have been living under a tsunami of threat ever since Trump and Brexit, or as it is known, “the worst decisions ever made”. This requires that all future elections be stolen. It is impressive how lockstep they remain. How common across all media is their opinion of us, the many-too-many. We are anti-democratic. We are chaotic and dangerous. We must be restrained. We must be censored. We are fascist.

Another Reason I am No Longer a Leftist 16 replies

In 2014, I published an essay listing ten reasons I am no longer a leftist. Something happened last Monday that hurt my feelings a lot and reminded me of another reason: I’m poor. This is counterintuitive. The Left depicts itself as the champion of the poor; the Left depicts right-wingers as hating the poor. Backstage, behind all the speechifying about “compassion,” a very specific left-wing attitude to the poor is abhorrent to me. I encountered that attitude last Monday. I felt disgust, rage, and sorrow. (Snip)People who are not poor say who the poor are, why we are poor, and what should be done about us. They script us.

The football spiking by AG Merrick Garland today deserves some context. I am going to take you through a story that will highlight just how bad the situation really is. Everything that preceded the 2020 federal election was a complex system of control by a network of ideologues, federal agencies, allies in the private sector, financial stakeholders and corrupt interests all working toward a common goal. There’s no need to go through the background of how the election was manipulated and how the government and private sector, specifically social media, worked to influence the 2020 outcome because you have all seen it.

Republicans are accusing the Department of Justice of “actively” seeking to “dissuade” the U.S. Marshals Service from enforcing 18 USC 1507 to protect the Supreme Court justices. In a May 3 letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, Sens. Katie Britt of Alabama, Tom Cotton of Iowa, Ted Cruz of Texas, and Mike Lee of Utah reveal that they have obtained “post orders” dated May 19, 2022, that claim “USMS is not in a position to enforce” federal and state law. Yesterday, the third International COVID Summit was held at the European Parliament. As noted by the European Parliament Members in attendance, this was an historic event. The summit lasted all day, with many fantastic speakers. It was live streamed and recordings of the many speakers will be made available soon. The ICS summit covered all aspects of the pandemic, as well as the documentation of the increasing power grab by the World Health Organization to control public health and increased control by organized globalized entities throughout the world. True confession time. (Snip) Ardent supporters of all things progressive, we were therefore equally surprised when the CBS Evening News performed (what used to be known in the business as) an “act of journalism.” In a really thorough and honest (!) report, they went after the waste being generated by the renewables industry. (Snip) Driven primarily by wind and solar power, renewable energy sources surpassed coal for electricity generation in the United States last year, marking a significant milestone. However, as the industry expands, a new problem emerges: what to do with the mounting waste generated by worn-out solar panels and wind turbine blades.

For better or worse, I have had a front-row seat to the meltdown of twenty-first-century medicine. Many colleagues and I are alarmed at how the DEI agenda—which promotes people and policies based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, and sexual orientation rather than merit—is undermining healthcare for all patients regardless of their status. (Snip) Around that time, Penn’s vice dean for education started to advocate that we train medical students to be activists for “social justice.” The university also implemented a new “pipeline program,” allowing ten students a year from HBCUs (historically black colleges or universities) to attend its med school after maintaining a 3.6 GPA

As a child, I remember hearing about the great things the future would hold for my generation, and the generations that would come after. Flying cars, advanced healthcare, Utopian like living conditions. Instead, we have full grown men sexualizing children, groups pushing to “destigmatize” pedophilia, and an entire generation of children being taught to hate themselves, their parents, and their country. Children are being groomed into sterilizing themselves by receiving what the machine calls “Gender Affirming Healthcare”. His actions were recognized by many pro-life groups and individuals as having a significant impact on the pro-life movement. Democrats in Congress, together with their allies among left-wing groups and in the media, are attempting a hostile takeover of the Supreme Court. Their current tactics demonstrate what “by any means necessary” really means. In the system of government America’s Founders gave us, limits on government are necessary to achieve its purpose of protecting liberty. Those limits include the separation of powers, federalism, a written Constitution, and a judiciary that will follow—rather than control—that Constitution. Limits like those help keep too much power from ending up in too few hands. The Left, however, is after power rather than liberty and, therefore, sees limits on government as obstacles

Two weeks ago, President Joe Biden announced that he is running for reelection in 2024, promising to “finish the job”. What exactly does he want to finish, other than American exceptionalism as we know it? America is rapidly imploding on many fronts – financial and economic, cultural, safety, and our place in the world. Does finishing the job mean erasing every achievement of former President Donald Trump? Or is he completing former President Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign promise, "We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America"?

It will soon release a proposed rule targeting power plants with hugely expensive carbon capture mandates. This is just the tip of the spear. There was a lot of discourse around President Joe Biden turning down King Charles III’s invitation to the coronation. Even though a U.S. president has never attended a coronation, some critics felt like this was a snub against the royal family. First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and her granddaughter, Finnegan, went instead, but now, Twitter is calling foul on their less-than-ideal seating placement. Users of the social media platform are frustrated that coronation organizers wanted world leaders there, but when they got the first lady instead, they feel like King Charles didn’t treat her with the respect she deserves. And boy, did they have some thoughts.
