'Finish The Job' Sounds More Like A Threat

Now that Joe Biden has announced his plans to run for reelection, the question that must be weighing on the minds of Democratic Party officials is “Can he possibly win without COVID?” They must know that without the pandemic, Biden had no chance of defeating Donald Trump in 2020. When he announced his candidacy exactly four years ago, the economy was booming and optimism was rising. Trump’s approval rating was edging upward. The only reason he had for running, he said, was because Trump

He will, to paraphrase Ken Starr, finish the job in the sink -- this time, washing America itself down the drain.

No, COVID has nothing to do with it...how about 'Can he possibly win without massive voter fraud?'...that is the real question..and we are now going to be watching very closely....fool me once it's your fault, fool me twice, never....

Joe Biden Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things 9 replies

In one of the most memorable presidential debate moments, Ronald Reagan asked voters if they were better off in 1980 than they were when Jimmy Carter was elected in 1976. The obvious answer was, for most, a resounding “no.” Whoever runs against the Democratic nominee next year needs to bring back that question, because it’s a certainty that in the fall of 2024, we’ll still be worse off than we were in pre-pandemic 2020. And for that, we can thank, or rather blame, Joe Biden. In a poll taken earlier this year, 41% of Americans said they were financially worse off

It’s been said we live in one of the most divisive and bitterly antagonistic political eras in our nation’s history. That’s certainly true for some of the public debates over tough issues we face today. But data from the latest I&I/TIPP Poll show there’s one policy issue about which both major parties have near total agreement: school choice. Fed up with substandard public schools and feeling trapped, Democrat and Republican voters heartily support greater school choice by more than 2-to-1, according to April’s online I&I/TIPP Poll. The survey, taken March 29-31 from a national sample of 1,365 adults, has a margin

Saturday will mark the 53rd anniversary of Earth Day, one full spin of the globe in which we are expected to celebrate the modern environmental movement. Yet that great cause, if we may paraphrase Eric Hoffer, became a business, then degenerated into a racket that not only became a haven for grifters but also a platform for scolds and eco-religion zealots. We strongly suggest that rather than spend a day exalting the inanimate Gaia, the West should mark it with recognition of how far human progress has brought us. Closely related to Earth Day is Earth Hour,

Vermont’s self-described socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders is a nonstop cheerleader for a minimum-wage hike. Recently, in Britain’s Guardian newspaper, he once again called for a huge increase in the minimum wage. Sounds generous, until you realize it would in fact hurt most the working poor, those who supposedly would reap the greatest benefits of a boosted minimum wage. “Whether they are greeting us at Walmart, serving us hamburgers at McDonald’s, providing childcare for our kids or waiting on our table at a diner in rural America, there are too many Americans trying to survive and raise families on $9, $10 or $12 an hour,” Sanders wrote.

Is the country separating itself into two distinct camps? One increasingly leftist and the other trying desperately to cling to traditional American values? Census data seem to show that it very well could be underway. Last week, we commented on recent population data showing that people have been fleeing urban areas, noting that these are mostly Democratically controlled, and we’ve pointed out that people have also been moving from red states to blue. But we wanted to go deeper and get more precise numbers. So, we matched Census net migration data from mid-2020 through mid-2022 for all the nation’s 3,000-plus

Every time the cranks in Congress and the kooks on campus talk of the grand premiums of socialism, they always explain that it’s the benevolent and neighborly democratic socialism of Scandinavia that they want the U.S. to follow. If that’s true, then why is the U.S. becoming like East Germany of the miserable 1960s? The United States since the New Deal has not been that far different than the Norways, Swedens and Denmarks of the post-World War II era. All have employed welfare-state policies that were fed by the prosperity of capitalism, the balance between the two adjusted from time to time, especially in the Europe and nations

With each day, it seems, we hear something new about how President Joe Biden and his ever-eager son, Hunter, used the power of Biden’s various political offices to make money for the Biden family. If even half of the allegations are true, Biden’s in big trouble. Will that make him think twice about running for a second term in 2024? American voters are a thick-skinned lot, and know pretty much that many politicians are scoundrels. But Biden is a different breed. His family has, for years, received mysterious piles of money — we’re talking millions of dollars here — from questionable overseas

Over the past two years, vast numbers of Americans picked up and moved. In a mobile society like ours, that’s not news. What is news is where they are moving from, and where they are going to. Turns out, there’s a mass exodus underway, with people leaving Biden strongholds and heading to MAGA country. New Census data show that, from 2021 to 2022, more than 2 million people moved out of urban areas that are largely controlled by Democrats and relocated to exurbs and more rural areas that largely voted for Donald Trump. Los Angeles County, for example, had a net ex-migration of more than 363,000

History may someday record today as the beginning of the end of the internal combustion engine – and of individual liberty in the U.S. According to news reports, the EPA is scheduled to release proposed auto emissions standards today on new car sales so stringent that the only way for automakers to meet them would be to shift two-thirds of their fleet to electric. But wait. How can a regulatory agency do that? Consumers aren’t demanding electric cars. Lawmakers didn’t vote to force them on the public. The Environmental Protection Agency knows better, though, and, unless it’s neutered, plans to force EVs on you – for your own good.

To see biological males win “woman of the year” awards and others compete against women in sports, and at least one paid to promote sports bras, it’s obvious the American mind has slipped a few gears. But our current troubles are about more than celebrating what is clearly a mental illness that needs to be treated. We have lost our way almost entirely across the board. The locus of our insanity, one could argue, is Washington, D.C. The federal government developed a habit long ago of spending beyond its means. But the foolishness has reached new levels.

It’s April but, with just 10 months to go, the clock is ticking down to January when the first two states (Iowa and New Hampshire) pick their favorites for president. The clear favorite for the Democrats is President Joe Biden, and for Republicans, former President Donald Trump. But neither contender can take their lead for granted, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. Look at the Democrats, for example. Biden is favored by 39% of Democrats and Democrat-leaning voters. That’s a four-point drop from 43% in March, according to the April online I&I/TIPP Poll of 662 Democrats/independents who lean Democrat, taken from

Nikki Haley doesn’t have a prayer to become the next President of the United States, although she is a viable VP candidate for sure. I’ve always had a generally positive impression of her. She is smart, was a good governor, and one of the most reliable and well-spoken of the Trump appointees. With that said, I was pretty stunned by her cheap shot at Ron DeSantis. I am pretty sure that it will alienate quite a number of people, although to me it’s pretty clear that Republican voters are not the intended recipients of her message. Looking at the language of the tweet her message is clear: she is on board with

WASHINGTON—She swaggered, she jabbed, she inspired. She even joked. Anyone looking for a glimpse of what Vice President Kamala Harris could bring to the campaign trail would have found it this week at Howard University, where she headlined a rally for reproductive rights. After two years of tightly scripted, uneven performances that often dismayed Democrats and cheered Republicans, Harris is looser, more forceful and more willing to speak off the cuff following her trip to Africa a month ago. “That is the vice president that America is going to get a chance to get to know for the first time,” said Laphonza Butler, a former adviser to Harris who leads EMILY’s List.

Fox “parting ways” with Tucker Carlson was an insane move by any standards of business, given how popular his show was on the network. As we noted, it didn’t seem to have affected Carlson’s mood, as he seemed to be having a good time with his wife down in Florida. He also put out a video on Twitter. While he didn’t talk specifically about the “parting of the ways,” I think he was making it clear that he wasn’t going to be silenced. But it is affecting Fox. So, uh, trying to think where was the last place I was; it’s hard to keep track.” “Ireland,” a child shouted out, jogging the president’s memory. “Yeah, you’re right, Ireland.

(snip) Carlson’s departure “will have a tremendous effect on the future of the Fox News channel, no doubt about that, but more importantly on Republican politics in the 2024 presidential election.” O’Reilly argued that Carlson’s departure from Fox News, combined with the death of conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh in 2021, has diminished the influence of conservative voices in the news media environment—and that it will now take longer for conservative ideas to permeate beyond Republican and conservative circles and into the conversations of independent voters.
