Mitch McConnell Stays Silent on Trump Indictment

After Tuesday's arraignment of former President Trump, Republicans rushed to defend him against the political persecution of Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg. However, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and his top allies stayed silent. McConnell, who reportedly hasn't spoken to Trump since December 2020, refrained from making any statement responding to Trump pleading not guilty to 34 felony counts. In fact, the Republican has not said anything regarding the indictment of Trump overall. "If we issue a statement, we will let everyone know," is all McConnell's top spokesman, David Popp, said following the arraignment. Instead, while the whole country was fixated on Trump's arraignment,

Comments:

Apparently it's too much to expect that the Minority Leader of the Senate speak in defense of a Republican President, regardless of how he personally feels about the man!! Turtle McConnell is an absolute coward!!

Probably the wisest course of action for him, to just shut up. If McConnell told how he really feels about it, it would further infuriate the Republican voters. If he lied and tried to defend Trump it would infuriate all his friends and their actual paymasters.

Addison "Mitch" McConnell is a corrupt RINO putz and a jealous well-known Trump hater. This after PDJT endorsed him and put his annoying Chicom wife in his cabinet as Transportation Secretary. He could stand the fact that PDJT blew the scam that old DC fossils like he, Schumer, Pelosi et all had going. Slow walk the people's business to a crawl while soaking up We the People's hard earned tax dollars for their own pockets and pet projects. PDJT proved that stuff could get done a lot faster and Addison and co. didn't like that. His silence on the indictment of a former Republican President should tell you all you need to know where that creaking, old and useless DC swamp rat's loyalties lie.

McConnell hates Trump. One simple reason. McConnell's wife is Chinese and her family is in the shipping business which is controlled by the Chinese military. President Trump fought back against the Chinese tariffs and placed tariffs on Chinese goods entering our country. McConnell opposed that move and took it personally, even though Trump gave his wife a job in his administration. You see McConnell is nothing more than a fool rino.

First off, Trump's payoffs and business dealings are PRIVATE, not public business. This is his own problem, not McConnell's. Who wants to touch this tar baby? One does so at their own political risk. He also has no interest in promoting a Trump candidacy in any manner at this (and likely any) point.

The case against Donald Trump brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is melting faster than the Wicked Witch of the West. The DA is keeping everyone in the dark about exactly what individual crime Bragg will try Trump on. This is sort of important because, without a predicate crime, there’s nothing to convict Trump of doing anything illegal. Bragg has taken that crime and sliced it into 34 parts — a prosecutorial trick designed to make sure the jury convicts Trump of something — anything — to justify charging a former president with felonies. And if Bragg wants to try Trump for violating federal campaign finance laws

The dumbest case ever just got dumber. The charges brought against President Trump by New York City DA Alvin Bragg make no sense. You would think that if you were going to indict a President of the United States that you would have a case. But this case offers nothing. DA Bragg should resign. His case against Trump is shockingly weak. On Tuesday, immediately after receiving the indictment against President Trump, TGP analyzed the document. What stuck out was that Soros-backed Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg claims in his charges that President Trump made the accounting entries himself related to this case.

Here is yet another story about a government using eminent domain to steal property from its citizens. In this case, the state of Tennessee is seeking to seize land from farmers in order to benefit a private business. About a year ago, Ford Motor Company began building an electric truck plant in BlueOval City, a rural area of west Tennessee. It was met with optimism from the community at the prospect of having new jobs for residents. The government was enthused about the idea of having another source of tax revenue and made generous offers to the company to establish its plant in the state.

Shut down Fifth Avenue and the FDR Drive. Close 56th Street and Fifth Avenue on the first Sunday after the big tree lighting. Oh my. New York is a glutton for punishment. The message from the court is: Rockefeller Center be jammed. In Florida, you can do procedural hearings on the phone if warranted. The defendant need not be present for a series of motions. Of course, New York still does many court filings on paper and not online.

Washington - The Supreme Court on Thursday denied West Virginia's request to let it fully enforce a state law that bans transgender women and girls from participating on public school sports teams consistent with their gender identity. In an unsigned order, the court denied West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey's emergency request to let the state enforce the 2021 law. Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas dissented, saying they would have granted the request. Earlier this year, a lower federal court ordered the state to temporarily stop halt the ban against Becky Pepper-Jackson, a 12-year-old transgender girl who sued the state over the law shortly after its passage.
