Earlier this month a mob of students and administrators at Stanford's Law School disrupted a Federalist Society event that was to feature a lecture by federal Court of Appeals judge Kyle Duncan. The angry mob, shouting and hurling threatening epithets at the judge, prevented him from speaking, thereby preventing other students from hearing what he had to say. The school's associate dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Tirien Steinbach, who sent out an email prior to the event alerting students to the scheduled appearance of a judge whose views, she wrote, had caused "upset and outrage." At the event itself, Dean Steinbach took the microphone

The many Knotseez at Stanford seek destruction of civil liberties. Are you going to allow it?

The protesters at Stanford are likely not aware of it, but their actions may have blown up the affirmative action cases.

To have people of diverse minority backgrounds and races which includes their views, is it necessary to have more than a few of each? One qualified black student is perfectly capable of sharing his or her views with a thousand white and Asian students.

Diversity promotes "the tolerance and mutual respect that are so essential to the maintenance of our civil society." so that's what they offered the judge, tolerance and respect.

ABA Model Rule of Professional 8.2, adopted verbatim by many states, provides: "a) A lawyer shall not make a statement that the lawyer knows to be false or with reckless disregard as to its truth or falsity concerning the qualifications or integrity of a judge, adjudicatory officer or public legal officer, or of a candidate for election or appointment to judicial or legal office." The Stanford students and diversity dean directly accused Judge Duncan of lacking integrity because they disagreed with some of his published decisions. Their behavior was disgraceful. If they do that as lawyers in a public forum, they will be subject to state bar discipline. Unfortunately, the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee are increasingly disrespectful to federal judges at confirmation hearings. They, however, are protected from discipline under Const. Art. I, Sec. 6 "speech and debate clause." A pity they model such behavior in front of a national audience.

I've decided that the correct order is "Inclusion, Equity, Diversity." It's an IED aimed at all of us.

Tirien Steinbach, Stanford’s version of “get in their face” Maxine Waters. An instigator, a pot stirred and an enemy of the first amendment.

I have a simple question to ask. Why would anyone want to employ any of these law school attendees? And, who was responsible for hiring this DEI dean? She has been very successful in indoctrinating the law school attendees in the cult of victimhood and blind hatred. She and the person that hired her should be fired for indoctrinating them in this poisonous dogma.

For what its worth, in my experience diversity means hiring unqualified people to fill a square. More often than not they will turn out to be worthless employees who cant be fired or disciplined because of their kevlar skin color or sex. So everyone else takes on their workload and is cautioned to say nothing.
Yeah. We's equal.

"Affirmative action" is systemic racism, pure and simple. AA should be absolutely illegal, everywhere.

hardly, there is no such thing as loss of will in communist societies only deferment of purpose until the time is right, again and again and again and again until the objective is achieved

"Affirmative Action"is nothing more than WELFARE for the incompetent! I give you the Department of Defense as Proof Positive! SCOTUS appointee Jackson, who admittedly doesn't know what a woman is, as backup proof!

Wouldn't THAT be loverly.
I saw a clip of Joy Behar responding to an eyewitness of an event, who was citing facts, with "That's not true, that's not true, thatsnottruethatsnottrue...." Certain people will deny their hair is on fire as the room fills with smoke.

#13, that is why it’s wise, if one is in a position to hire someone, to never hire any minority or affirmative action type. You’re only asking for endless trouble. And this is just one more reason why AA is detrimental to those it is supposed to help.

No way this will stymie the efforts of the woke. This is all they've got to overcome complete failure. Tirien will eventually slink back to her desk and resume hostilities.

#3, the key word here is "qualified." That's why they put so much emphasis on equity because organizations are then forced to accept the unqualified. All they have to do is pay attention in school and earn that degree but that's where the disconnect is.

#17, the predecessor to Affirmative Action is the Labor Union, which has served the purpose that you stated only for a much longer time. I have worked in companies under both and there is little difference aside from skin color. Most public schools are unionized so the problem begins for us around age 5.

What this showed was how intolerant that group could become, and how little they cared about being inclusive or considerate of a diverse set of opinions.
They also highlighted how easily persuaded they are.
Interestingly, the Left likes to talk about how "children aren't born hating, they are taught to hate".
Well, I would surmise that many are being taught to hate, or at least to be overly biased, to judge someone based on the color of their skin without considering much else.
