Thousands of human bone fragments believed to include the remains of victims from the Nazi and colonial era were buried in Berlin on Thursday.
They were found in 2014 during construction work at the campus of Berlin's Free University, a site that was once home to the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute of Anthropology, Human Heredity and Eugenics.
The university believes the bones came from "criminal contexts" dating back to Germany's colonial period and that "some of the bones may also have come from victims of Nazi crimes."

Laura Ingraham unveiled her campaign advice for both Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former President Donald Trump during 'The Ingraham Angle.'
"Welcome to Biden's new economic normal. Long-lasting inflation, a lower standard of living. Put that on a bumper sticker," Ingraham said.
LAURA INGRAHAM: I thought I'd play campaign manager just for tonight for both Trump and DeSantis, and since most of my advice for them relates to the economy, we all need to be clear on how exactly Biden tanked it.
Now, first, instead of encouraging all states to fully reopen their economies and to get all kids back into the classroom, Biden kept the panic

After the Chinese Communist Party’s 1949 victory in China’s civil war, the question of “Who lost China” rocked Washington. As President Biden makes his first presidential trip to Ottawa this week, he should ask if the next country about which that question will be asked is Canada.
The loss would not be economic. The U.S.-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) trade pact continues to underpin a vast economic relationship neither party wants to undermine, although recent Biden administration policies to promote “Buy America” are an irritant that violates the spirit of that agreement. Canada, as the smaller and more trade-dependent partner, cannot afford to lose the privileged access to U.S. markets that the USMCA ensures.

Earlier this month a mob of students and administrators at Stanford's Law School disrupted a Federalist Society event that was to feature a lecture by federal Court of Appeals judge Kyle Duncan. The angry mob, shouting and hurling threatening epithets at the judge, prevented him from speaking, thereby preventing other students from hearing what he had to say. The school's associate dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Tirien Steinbach, who sent out an email prior to the event alerting students to the scheduled appearance of a judge whose views, she wrote, had caused "upset and outrage." At the event itself, Dean Steinbach took the microphone

President Biden trial court nominee Kato Crews was stumped by questioning from Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., during confirmation hearing testimony on Wednesday. Crews, a nominee for district judge of the U.S. District Court of Colorado, was asked by Kennedy how he would "analyze a Brady motion," with Crews answering that he had not "had the occasion to address a Brady motion" during his four and a half years on the bench.
After stumbling over the answer, Kennedy asked Crews if he knew "what a Brady motion is." Crews, who currently serves as a magistrate judge, admitted that the concept was "not coming to mind"

Indiana police say the parents of missing Indiana 14-year-old Scottie Dean Morris allegedly forced him to take a photo wearing a T-shirt with "demeaning" words but are now "heartbroken" that their son seemingly vanished and has been unaccounted for nearly a week as of Wednesday. In first announcing Morris was missing, the Eaton Indiana Police Department shared a photo to its official Facebook page showing the teen with a shaved head and wearing a white T-shirt with handwritten demeaning words, including "I’m a liar," "hurt" and "cheat." The department later took it down and shared a more cropped version of the image showing just Morris’ buzzcut and face.

More than six weeks have passed since a Norfolk Southern train derailed in the small Ohio town of East Palestine. Toxic chemicals were released into the area, and the lives of more than 5,000 Americans were forever changed. The American people have been justifiably terrified by images of a massive black plume of smoke and toxic chemicals in creeks nearby. There are over 1,000 train derailments, and they are right to worry that their hometowns could be next.
The U.S. government must provide the American people with the security of knowing that what happened to East Palestine will not happen again.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine cannot be equated with the US-led invasion of Iraq, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair said Saturday, ahead of the 20th anniversary of the conflict that toppled Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.
Blair said Moscow's forces had invaded "a country that has a democratically elected president who, to my knowledge, has never started a regional conflict or committed any aggression against its neighbors."
The former British leader said Saddam Hussein, on the other hand, had brutalized his own people, engaged in two wars in violation of international law and used chemical weapons to kill 12,000 people in a single day.

If Democrats really wanted Donald Trump to fade away, as they claim, then they would stop persecuting him. Maybe they are so blinded by hatred that they can’t see that every time they use the heavy hand of the law against the former president, they just cement his status as MAGA martyr. Or maybe they are so terrified of running against Ron DeSantis in 2024, that they actually want to martyr Trump to ensure he wins the Republican presidential primary ready for a repeat contest with Joe Biden.
In that scenario, Democratic prosecutors in New York and Georgia, and a partisan DOJ, play the role of picadors

“With the law books filled with a great assortment of crimes, a prosecutor stands a fair chance of finding at least a technical violation of some act on the part of almost anyone. In such a case, it is not a question of discovering the commission of a crime and then looking for who has committed it, it is a question of picking the man and then searching the law books, or putting investigators to work, to pin some offense on him. It is in this realm — in which the prosecutor picks some person whom he dislikes or desires to embarrass, or selects some group of unpopular persons

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has called on his country to be ready to launch a nuclear attack to deter war as he accused the U.S. and South Korea of carrying out military drills with American nuclear assets, according to state media.
Kim's remarks, carried on state media KCNA, came after the Hermit Kingdom launched a short-range ballistic missile toward the sea on Sunday. The missile flew across the country and landed in the sea off its east coast, according to South Korean and Japanese assessments – which reported that the missile traveled a distance of about 500 miles.

President Joe Biden has repeatedly denied that his family received money from China. He has also denied any knowledge of his son’s foreign dealings despite direct evidence to the contrary, including a recorded message from the President to Hunter referencing the deals. The White House has simply refused to address the recording or photographs contradicting the President. Now, there is confirmation that millions were sent from China and then money from a third-party account was distributed to at least three, and possibly four, Biden family members. However, when confronted with the evidence on the way to Marine One, the President again declared “that’s not true.”
