The Department of Veterans Affairs is changing its mission statement. The new motto, announced in a Thursday news release, includes a gender-neutral change from the previous mission statement. The old motto referenced both male and female veterans and featured a direct quote from President Abraham Lincoln: “To fulfill President Lincoln’s promise ‘to care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan’ by serving and honoring the men and women who are America’s veterans.” The new mission statement reads as follows: “To fulfill President Lincoln’s promise to care for those who have served in our nation’s military and for their families, caregivers, and survivors.”

Back during the Obama years I was doing some work at a large VA hospital. The chaplain collared me and asked me to mount a huge aluminum cross that he had squirreled away behind the altar in his chapel. I was happy to oblige, and took great care to see that it was hung perfectly. The chaplain came out to check our work and was very happy with it, then he closed a curtain in front of it. I looked at him very perplexed and annoyed. He just said "We're not allowed to have it."

Apparently Lincoln, being a rural Republican, refused to acknowledge that there were at least 27 genders. Therefore he and his words must be canceled.

Uhm, when you change the words, it is no longer a quote. The country is collapsing and this is what is most important to this vile administration? Why not just put a few Stalin, Lenin, Marx, Mao, Pol Pot, Saul Alinsky, or Fidel Castro quotes up and forget it. That’s who democrats admire.

As PC nonsense goes, this one is not too bad. We do have females serving in harm's way. At least they didn't try to fit the they/them/theirs nonsense into it. Still, a president spending his time on rewriting history to fit the leftist agenda is not what we signed up for.

CNN employees publicly disagreed with network head Chris Licht on whether or not “America was served” by hosting former President Donald Trump at Wednesday night’s town hall event. The event, which was reportedly cut short due to Trump’s performance, was largely seen as a success by Trump supporters, and reportedly by Trump’s team as well. (Tweet/Photos) Trump’s rare appearance on the network — highlighted by the result — did not sit well with some CNN employees, who took to public forums to air grievances about if Licht was correct in suggesting “America was served” by the town hall.

E. Jean Carroll threatened to sue Donald Trump for a third time over the 'vile' comments he made during the CNN town hall on Wednesday night. Her latest legal threat came as the former President formally filed a notice of appeal after he was found liable of sexually abusing and defaming the Elle columnist, and she was awarded $5million in damages. Carroll told The New York Times on Thursday that she was considering filing another defamation suit after Trump told CNN's Kaitlan Collins the story was 'fake' and 'made up'.

A scheduled White House meeting between President Joe Biden, Speaker Kevin McCarthy and the other congressional leaders was suddenly postponed as the U.S. rushes toward defaulting on its debt. The meeting will now take place next week as staff between the two sides continue to meet to try and hash out a deal that will allow the country to meet its obligations to its $31 trillion debt. A source familiar with the matter said the talks between the two sides 'are progressing,' and that the delay would allow staff to continue to exchange information. But the delay follows a White House meeting this week where the two sides

CNN’s town hall with Donald Trump was everything you’d expect it to be from the former president. There were times when vintage Trump roared back with a vengeance; he called moderator Kaitlin Collins a “nasty person” for her persistent interruptions. Without a doubt, this was CNN’s most significant ratings draw in quite some time. Some answers Trump had will surely trigger liberal America, especially considering the verdict of the defamation trial brought by E. Jean Carroll, who accused Trump of raping her in the 1990s.

Remember: the same people who cannot protect the border from foreign invaders want you to believe that they can control inflation, COVID, and climate change. While they lose the war against drug cartels in their own backyard, they want you to think that they can successfully manage wars on the other side of the globe. While small towns struggle with transnational gang battles, urban homeless shelters overflow, and record-high overdose deaths cripple American society, the government's crack team of nation-killers ignore the country's pressing threats and instead preach about racism, "green" energy, and the importance of welcoming men in girls' restrooms.

Former President Donald Trump steamrolled CNN’s Kaitlan Collins during Wednesday’s Townhall event in New Hampshire, dismissing her politically biased and outdated questions, effectively reducing her role as the moderator by speaking directly to the audience about the “gotcha” topics a visibly irritated Collins continually posed throughout the night. The highly anticipated townhall event, teased by Trump, boded well for the former president, despite Collins’s attempt to begin the event with a series of contentious topics and arguably outdated leftist narratives — from the 2020 election results to January 6 to accusations in the E. For most Western people today, the word culture conjures at best superficial differences — "exotic" dress or food.
