The US State Department has summoned Moscow's ambassador after a Russian fighter jet collided with an American Reaper drone over the Black Sea, downing and destroying the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). (Snip) Pentagon officials said the Russian fighters harassed the drone by dumping fuel on it and flying in front of it, before one Su-27 clipped the propeller of the $32 million drone, forcing it down over the Black Sea in a total loss of the unmanned aircraft.

The ambassador was probably severely counseled by one of our new diverse State Department wonders.

The Russian Ambassador arrived, looked at the 22 year old blue haired girl who asked to be called “them”, raised two middle fingers, may have said, “Eat me” in Russian, then left, laughing. The Associated Press reported the Ambassador was appropriately chastised and the promised to try and not do it again.

If I were Putin I would recall the Ambassador now and kick ours out of Moscow. (Not that I agree, but…)

I'm sure the ambassador was quick to remind the US State Department of the $11 BILLION Nord Stream pipeline cost, just saying.

Oh this is no big deal. Remember the good old days when Soviet jets shot down a civilian 747 with a Rebubican Congressman on board? And in international airspace! Of course nothing happened. I bet this time the bully Biden offers the ambassador stock in SVB. That'll teach 'em!

That Russkie is going to have to face Tough Tony Blinken - - and maybe even Snake Sullivan.
Those guys will be sure to apologize - - for the inconvenience caused by our drone. They'll promise we won't do it again.

I am not apologizing for the Soviets but KAL 007 was flying over prohibitive Soviet airspace, while a US reconnaissance mission was in progress, when dispatched. It was a tragic navigational error made by the KAL crew.
I will never understand why anyone expects the Russians to be good guys especially after our "leaders" keep poking them and telling us how rotten they are.

I have my doubts about the Russian jet clipping the propeller since it is in the rear behind the tail.

Re #11, a dingle, unreliable source, with ONE anonymous source and you are convinced that it is fact?
I am amazed at how susceptible to internet/Enemedia BS and Russian disinformation the "smart folks" at this site have become. People used to be a bit more skeptical of single source stories, especially from the like of a has been America-hater like Hersch.

Do you really believe anything coming from our Pentagon or State Department these days? Noble patriots have been purged. The globalists are spoiling for a war with Russia, and like most wars it boils down to territory, resources, power and money. Money. But, first they have to get the proles worked up via propaganda so that we will accept a war and be willing to sacrifice ouir sons and daughters for a good cause. Compare the land mass of Russia vs the US, China, Canada, Australia or Brazil. It's about twice as big with 11 time zones and massive untaped resources. Russia must be sweating bullets because they have the western globalists on one side and the Chinese on the other.

They're is no way a Russian jet fighter is going to "bump" a drone. They'd both go down. This is complete bullshiite. You cannot believe a single thing this administration says about anything.

Enemy aircraft in a war zone. Legitimate target. What should the Russians do? Hang out a rainbow flag and remove their genitals?

The weird emphasis on what the Russian fighter supposedly did is great for keeping people from wondering about the real questions. For instance: "Why was a US attack craft flying near a combat zone where Russia was in the middle of an offensive?"

This stupid war is 2 bad guys fighting it out. But it is costing us probably a trillion dollars by the time it is all said and done.
When our current government refuses to spend a few million dollars for defense of our southern border from the massive invasion of illegal aliens, but can send billions and billions and billions of dollars (both cash and military equipment and ammo) to Ukraine when we have no treaties or alliances with them (other than how much they pay to the crooked family of Senile Joe bidet), that is when I get angry!!!!

Easy solution, put two air to air missiles on each drone and shoot down anybody that plays games with it. Self defense is a legitimate argument.
