A campaign to have rural eastern Oregon secede from the blue state and join more conservative Idaho has "virtually no chance" of becoming a reality, according to Idaho's top state Senate Democrat.
"I'm very pleased this measure has virtually no chance of advancing into reality," Idaho Senate Minority Leader Melissa Wintrow, D, told Fox News Digital. "It would be bad for all involved and bad for the country, and I am opposed to it at all levels."
Wintrow was referring to a resolution making its way through the Idaho Legislature that wouldn't move the Idaho-Oregon border but rather call for formal talks between the states' legislatures about relocating the boundary line.
Parasites never let go of the host voluntarily. They produce nothing and would die promptly.

The procedure is there for a reason -- to secede. "Virtually no chance" should be ignored. Go for it anyway and prove to other conservative counties that it can be done, so that it will be. We cannot live with these Leftists, so we can remove ourselves, one way or another.

Greater Idaho needs to pull in most of California as well. And then go for Washington State.

FTA: "While there are vast political differences in our region, Greater Idaho is not the proper remedy for those differences," said Wintrow. "Our democratic republic depends on level heads coming together to find solutions to the issues that impact our citizens. Dividing state borders to create enclaves of politically like-minded people is the opposite of a healthy America."
If this is the reason Wintrow thinks it's a bad idea for the Greater Idaho movement, that's thin gruel. The residents of eastern Oregon have far more in common economically, culturally, and politically with Idaho than they do with their own in Portland, Eugene, and the rest of dystopia the Left coast.
Wintrow is also revealing her hand as a Dem that she has more in common with her fellow Dems in Portlandia than in Idaho. What she really fears is a shift in the balance of power, loss of control, and loss of influence.

Remember Rule #1 regarding dealing with Communist Death Democrats - If a Communist Death Democrat is FOR anything no matter what it is, it is bad for our Country and our lives, if a Communist Death Democrat is AGAINST anything no matter what it is, it is good for our Country and good for our lives.
Hate filled and Evil are the two attributes that can be used to describe anyone who is a Communist Death Democrat.
These Washington counties are trying to escape hate and evil. As are many counties in California.

West Virginia seceded from Virginia, so it is possible. And what power does the idaho minority leader have to stop the current measure to initiate formal talks?

Suburban/ rural areas being able to split from Major cities would be a great benefit to the USA. We live in UpState NYS and voting is simply depressing, because we know that NYC and environs determine who will be elected. We are Disenfranchised. 3/4+ of the State is outside DownState/ NYC but we have no voting power. The same goes for Illinois/Chicago, California/ the Coastal areas, etc., all Blue and corrupt.

Somehow, this has got to boil down to loss of MONEY for the crazy libs in charge of Oregon to toss away on their mountain of ridiculous schemes. It's always about money in politics.

#14, that would be 'rejoin' Texas, as everything in NM east of the Rio Grande was originally part of the Republic of Texas.

As a kid, I remember the talk of the Eastern Shore of Maryland joining Delaware to get away from the cesspool of the Baltimore-Washington corridor of Gimmedats. Most of the population of the state is in that region, is very liberal and completely at odds with the more conservative western and eastern regions. I wish them luck. Being overwhelmed by idiots is not a fun situation to be in.

Look for Oregon to send Portland riffraff to Eastern Oregon.
New York sends its riffraff upstate. That's how they plan to turn upstate NY blue. Same goes for Oregon.

I doubt the Dems will allow it to succeed. If it does, it will start a domino effect that would turn most blue states into city-states. Northern Colorado would go to Wyoming, Western Colorado would go to Utah, Western Pennsylvania would go to Ohio, Northern Minnesota would go to North Dakota and so on. It could trigger a complete reordering of the states, and likely would eliminate many national democrats. Nice to dream about, though.

It's not bad for the country, it's bad for democratic run cities. They loose their meal ticket, they loose their fun money, the money they never earned. Democrats love to spend tax payer money on everything tax payers are against. Like crime, the indoctrination of their children and supporting illegal immigrants. You see, the stupidity of a democrat is pathetic and appalling.

They fear this to expand, and illustrate how few truly follow the Progressive policies.
It will isolate those views.
Plus, Idaho will have more House members, as would happen in other areas.
Again, diluting the Progressive policies.

Good for the country. Isolating the lunatics in their dysfunctional hellhole cities is a GOOD thing. Keep the infection from spreading to normal areas.

Exactly why would it be bad for the country. Oregon is ignoring what these citizens want as they are overwhelmed by the large populations in the cities who are all Democrats. They have a right to change governments so they are.

Same Democrats against Eastern Oregonians being part of the state they prefer are probably thrilled at the idea of Washington DC becoming its own (Democrat) state, which is outright unconstitutional.

Counties are nearly ideal political units to split the US. The split will not be by state. There are noo "blue states" or "red states". Every state has socialist cities that bully the rest of the population. It's the socialist cities that need to be booted out. Counties splitting off will allow socialist cities to be isolated and removed from Free America.
