Nicola Sturgeon, Scotland’s first minister, announced her resignation on Wednesday, saying that she had become too polarizing a figure — an acknowledgment that comes amid a tense fight over gender law in the country. “My judgment now is that a new leader will be better able to do this,” Sturgeon said in a surprise announcement after more than eight years in office. “Someone about whom the mind about almost everyone in the country is not already made up, for better or worse. Someone who is not subject to quite the same polarized opinions, fair or unfair, as I now am.” She said was was worn down by the “brutality” of political life.

So letting men who have been convicted of rape into women's prison was just too 'polarizing' for the majority of Scottish subjects? Give it a few years for the corrupt media to brainwashed your subjects into accepting it and you'll be good to go for a comeback.

For some reason she always reminded me of the West Highland Terrier pictured on the tins of Cesar Dog Food. Unsurprisingly, the snippy little ankle biter proved too inept to lead even a minor country that has more sheep than sheeple. She won't be missed, in fact she'll soon be forgotten.

Thousands of people in the central Chinese metropolis of Wuhan, the place where the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic began, took the streets of the city on Wednesday to protest a dramatic reduction in health care benefits the Communist Party has proposed in light of its titanic expenditures throughout the past three years. The northern city of Dalian experienced another protest on Wednesday, forcing police to corral the crowd and resulting in clashes between law enforcement officers and civilians. Fewer videos and testimony about the Dalian protest are available at press time than the Wuhan event, though multiple media sources verified that it happened.

Disney seems to have learned a lesson about going woke and going broke, albeit it seems to have discovered the wrong one. They seem to have concluded that “if American audiences don’t applaud radical leftist ideas, then perhaps China will.” Disney/Marvel’s upcoming superhero flick “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” seems to do just that. While China doesn’t tolerate LGBT messaging, what it does like to hear is that political systems that lead to communism are a good thing. This is exactly what Disney/Marvel decided to get across in the movie with a line from a character.

For East Palestine residents John and Lisa Hamner, life as they knew it came to a screeching, flaming halt at 20:55 on 3 February. It was that day that a toxin-laden train derailed just metres from their successful garbage truck business, which they'd grown from five customers to more than 7,000 over an 18-year period in and around this close-knit Ohio town. "It's totally wrecked our life," he told the BBC, choking back tears in the parking lot of his business, where the stench of chemicals and sulphur from the derailment remains powerful. "I'm at the point now where I want out of here," he added. "We're going to relocate.

Rupert Murdoch and Fox News hosts expressed disbelief in former President Donald Trump’s false election fraud claims, according to evidence released from Dominion Voting Systems’ $1.6 billion lawsuit against Fox Corp and its cable-TV networks. In court papers filed Thursday, text messages and testimony from depositions show that Fox executives and TV personalities were skeptical about claims that the election between the victorious Joe Biden, a Democrat, and Trump, a Republican, was rigged. The release follows months of discovery and depositions that have remained private until Thursday, when the companies filed court papers before a Delaware judge laying out each of their cases and unveiling recently gathered evidence.

Do we finally have an explanation for why the Biden administration has been so tight-lipped about the unidentified flying object shot down over Lake Huron? It wasn’t until Thursday that the president finally addressed the matter, providing essentially no details as to what was intercepted and downed four days prior. That was in stark contrast to the incessant bragging about the downing of a Chinese spy balloon off the coast of South Carolina. So why all the secrecy? The answer seems to be that the truth is incredibly embarrassing. So let me get this straight. The United States Air Force wasted nearly $1,000,000 in AIM-9X missiles

Washington — President Biden told Americans Thursday there was no evidence a trio of unidentified flying objects shot down following the downing of a Chinese spy balloon were nefarious — in his first comments on the unprecedented military action in North American airspace after five full days of silence. “We don’t yet know exactly what these three objects were,” Biden said if the devices shot down off the Alaskan coast, over Canada’s Yukon territory, and over Lake Huron. “But nothing, nothing right now suggests they were related to China’s spy balloon program, or that they were surveillance vehicles from other any other country. A special grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia released portions of a report detailing findings from the investigation into whether former President Donald Trump and his allies interfered in the election in Georgia as part of a larger attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election. The report indicates a majority of the grand jury believes one or more witnesses may have committed perjury in their testimony and recommends that prosecutors pursue indictments against them, if the district attorney finds the evidence compelling. Prosecutors and several media organizations had pushed to release the grand jury's full report, but Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney refused to do so,

Meadows received the legal summons in late January, a source familiar with the situation told CNN, which was the first to report on the subpoena Wednesday night. An attorney for Meadows declined to comment to the outlet. On January 2, 2021, just days before the riot at the U.S. Capitol, Meadows was involved in the telephone call when Trump pressed Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to find enough votes to reverse the presidential election results in that state.

On February 9, New Jersey Italian restaurant Nettie’s House of Spaghetti, despite having a name that makes it sound like a children’s restaurant, issued a statement across its social media accounts that beginning in early March, they would no longer allow children under 10 to dine at the restaurant. The announcement made headlines and points to the perennial debate over whether banning kids under a certain age from eating at restaurants is reasonable. This debate is, of course, not new. There will always be a steady stream of new children coming to restaurants with their parents, and some of those children will act in accordance with their developmental tendencies.

The environmental disaster taking place in Ohio from a Norfolk Southern derailed train should outrage both sides of the political aisle. After the smoke clears, investigations will take place and most likely will show that there is plenty of blame to be shared, including all levels of government and both political parties. But at the moment, the complete lack of any significant response by the Biden administration is appalling and begs the question why an administration that is hostile to the free market and supports extreme measures to fight climate change is missing in action?

Congressional Democrats rolled out a spending proposal aimed at closing the racial wealth gap on Wednesday, which would give at least $1,000 to every American born after 2005. Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) introduced the American Opportunity Accounts Act, which would federalize the use of 'baby bonds' for the country's youth to help fight wealth inequality. The program would be funded by raising estate and inheritance taxes. It would result in a major redistribution of wealth to middle and lower-income Americans. The lawmakers estimate that children in families on the lowest income levels would have roughly $46,000 by the time they begin college,

And facilitating it, as in the case of the supposed “medical professionals” increasingly pushing it on children, is evil. We’re seeing this in more and more vivid detail as the transgender craze — and it is a craze, make no mistake about that — broadens and touches more and more lives. It’s becoming harder and harder to sustain the myth that chemical castrations and hormone baths and disfiguring surgeries lead to normal lives.
