Democrats want 8.7% pay hike for federal
workers who were ‘subjected to’ Trump

Democrats are proposing giving federal workers an 8.7% pay increase for toiling through the Trump administration and the coronavirus pandemic. The suggested pay increase for the 2 million federal workers would take effect in 2024, and would come after they received the 4.6% raise this year from President Biden.  “For years now, federal employees have risked their health and safety working on the frontlines of this pandemic,” Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) said in a press release announcing that he and Sen. Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) would reintroduce the Federal Adjustment of Income Rates, or FAIR Act.

Fat Gerry (unfortunately my Congressvermin) is just pandering to his constituents (us Federal workers). And he's got it all wrong - we didn't suffer, we actually did quite well under Trump. We all kept our jobs and got paid, and the economy was booming which meant our paychecks went further and our TSP accounts (think 401K) blossomed. It's under Old Demented Joe that everything has gone FUBAR. Vax mandates have threatened our jobs and the tanking economy has put a dent in our TSPs. I'll gladly exchange Crooked Joe for a second go with The Donald. That's not to say that I would reject an 8.7% salary raise. As I approach retirement, a bigger salary means a bigger pension for me. I'll gladly take it. Fat Gerry can pander to me all he wants. I'm still never going to vote for the scumball.

What a steaming pantload. The swamp should pay reparations to us for the stolen election in '20, and to Trump for stealing most of his first term in a relentless series of bogus 'impeachments' (more like fraudulent investigations pretending to seek grounds for impeachment).

I have friends (a married couple) who work for the Federal government. They weren't required to show up at the office for close to two years! One told me about taking a nap every afternoon while working from home. They even gave up their second car because they didn't need it. Just recently they were required to show up at the office one day a week. It has been a real hardship for them.....not.

Hmmmm, let's see, most of the 2 million fed workers are unionized. Pay increases so does union dues. Dues increases so does union donations to the Democrat Party. I see where this is going. That's another tax increase on the American People that will benefit the Rat Party at the expense of the working man/woman. It would also help the fed workers deal with the high inflation rate caused by Biden's lousy economic policies which started with cutting off domestic oil production on Day One, which in turn has spiraled out of control, along with spending trillions on nothing that benefits the American People. Yep, they always take care of themselves at our expense.

Federal employees have gotten pay hikes every year, including through the pandemic, all while private sector workers have gotten no pay increases. Government workers already make 1.5 times equivalent jobs pay in the private sector. No pay hikes are justified.

In November I went to New York City for the day. Sitting in front of me were four young federal workers from D.C. I traveled during the week when most people with REAL jobs are working. These four weren't going to any meeting or training exercise in New York. From the conversation I heard, they were going to a show and also to go shopping. They all worked apparently at the State Department. Being a nosy, I had to ask why they weren't working. They were happy to explain that they all worked from home, and that no one really checked on them to see if they were doing their jobs and the thought of having to go into an office was so much hassle. I immediately thought of the phrase, "Your Tax Dollars at Work."

Joe Biden repeated an untrue story for at least the eighth time on Monday claiming an Amtrak conductor congratulated him for racking up one million miles on the train commuting between Wilmington, Delaware and Washington, D.C. The president has told this fabricated story since at least his 2020 presidential campaign. Standing beside Maryland Governor We Moore, Biden told the often-repeated story as part of his remarks kicking off a new project to replace a train tunnel in Baltimore built in the 1870s. Biden, 80, said a conductor gave him kudos for logging more miles on Amtrak than on Air Force Two as vice president.

A mysterious spiral formation was spotted in the night sky above Hawaii earlier this month, sparking curiosity among observers. The spectacle, initially spotted by an observatory in Mauna Kea on Jan. 18, first looked like a traveling bright star before it morphed shapes. It grew into a larger blob before it transformed into a dot with a spinning spiral around it, footage from the Subaru-Asahi STAR Camera shows. The Justice Department made it official — the two recent special counsel appointments are among their top justifications for stonewalling congressional investigations into the classified documents sagas surrounding former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden . The White House , the National Archives, and Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines have all pointed to the appointment of special counsels in the Trump and Biden sagas as reasons for missing deadlines or deflecting questions , and the DOJ has now confirmed the special counsel justification for delays in info sharing.

This week’s Liberal Media Scream is breaking the pattern of highlighting over-the-top liberal bias in the media to point out something new on the Washington press stage: House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) eagerness to call out double standards. Since his election as speaker, McCarthy has made no secret that he believes that the Washington press corps is biased and often criticizes Republican leaders for moves it never criticized Democrats for. Last week, for example, when a reporter didn’t like McCarthy’s answer to a question, the speaker said: “Let me be very clear and respectful to you. You asked me a question. Among the 9 people featured in the official poster are Angela Davis and Malcolm X — not Martin Luther King or Clarence Thomas, men who made America better, but a pair of thugs. Davis is the communist who in August 1970 surreptitiously armed three murder defendants which led to a shootout with the police that left the judge and the three gunmen dead. Malcolm X was an ex-convict who once was the face of the Nation of Islam, a black supremacist church. When he left it, the church sent assassins who killed him.
