President Joe Biden on Monday promoted electric vehicles again as part of his administration’s push for green energy, smiling gleefully in an EV with a mask hanging underneath his chin.
“On my watch, the great American road trip is going to be fully electrified. And now, through a tax credit, you can get up to $7,500 on a new electric vehicle,” Biden said alongside an accompanying image, showing the president smiling in a Hummer EV. The image shows Biden with a mask under his chin and an individual in the passenger seat who remained masked up: (Tweet)

Nothing says a "fun" road trip like driving a couple of hundred miles, then stopping to charge your EV for 8 hours! May 100 miles if you are towing an RV trailer. This isn't about the environment -- it's about the government controlling the peasants a little more each day!!! The EV's themselves are a terrible and inefficient "solution" to a problem that simply does not exist!!!
Last year we drove from Texas to Washington state in 4 days (to attend a wedding and see some of the great national parks in the northwest part of the country). In an EV, I'm guessing that will take about 2 weeks to get up there.
I used to think Civil War 2 in this country would start over abortion or the government trying to destroy the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution. But now I'm getting the feeling it's going to start over this massive overreach of the federal government forcing us to use EV's!!!!

Says the man who burns 700,000 pounds of jet fuel a week so he doesn’t have to spend the weekend in the Whitehouse.
Why don’t you go electric schmoe? “They” won’t let you? Well, refuse to travel until electric is available for your travel. You want to save the planet don’t you? And shut down fossil fuel, right?
I’m with greta thundberg on this one: How Dare You!!!

It won't involve going much past 100 miles if you plan on returning home in most of the sad, expensive messes that they are pushing.
Not very "great". My Accord makes 600 on a tank, so with a comfortable 100 mile margin, fill up in 5 minutes or so ever 500 miles. I can cover 1,000 miles in a day.
Or fill up in 4 hours every 150 miles with your overgrown golf cart. You'd be luck to make 300 miles in a day.
No, thanks. Not buying.

Great, Joe! Maybe you can get a couple hundred thousand of your beloved illegals to dig all of the coal it will take to provide all of that electricity.

What about the $75000 price and $25000 for a new battery every four years. Not everyone gets 10% off the top!

7500 tax credit means every EV will be 7500 overpriced. Lady Chihuahua clarified that a 7500 tax credit means 7500 taken off your income. You will not be saving 7500.
Fully electrified? Does the US have any plans to build any new power plants? Thought not.

What do EVs, windmills and solar farms have in common? None are workable replacements for the cheap, reliable technology we've been using for decades--and the "planners" understand that. When you read the fine print, they know the only way for green energy to supply the demand is to cut that demand by at least 50%. How? Dead people don't need energy, green or otherwise. So be sure to get your jabs.

This is great: We can all buy a UV and drive 300 miles and then get a motel room and wait until it recharges. I can't wait.

This dork should set a good example by having the V8 removed from his Corvette and replaced with an electric drive train. With his bribery millions, the cost would be mere chicken feed. But he won't do that, you see, because that would be an inconvenience to a person rich and famous. Just like John Kerry and his huge carbon footprint private jet off to global warming conferences. He once said "...a person like me can't fly commercial..."

It's not just having to stop every few hundred miles to spend 5 to 8 hours charging, it's also about the 40+ cars behind you waiting to charge their ev's.

Great point, #20. Other EV idiots, waiting to get to the niece’s wedding, or Aunt Ethel’s funeral.
No road rage there.
But as others have noted, it’s not about EVs. It’s about c o n t r o l.

So Biden's hearse is going to be an EV? I hope they equip it with the proper signage like Do Not Tailgate or, Explosives, Stay Back 200 Feet.
