‘Incomprehensible’: White House Press
Secretary Blasts DeSantis for Rejecting
AP African-American History Course

Addressing reporters during a Friday afternoon press briefing, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre lashed out at Florida governor Ron DeSantis over his “incomprehensible” decision to reject state approval for an Advanced Placement African-American Studies course. “It is incomprehensible to see that this is what this ban–or this block, to be more specific–that DeSantis has put forward. If you think about the study of Black Americans, that is what he wants to block and, again, these types of actions aren’t new, especially from what we’re seeing from Florida, sadly,” Jean-Pierre told the White House press corps.

Maybe, just maybe, Little Karine, we're just sick and tired of you and your friends demanding special attention. How would you like it if I demanded Children have an AP class on Swedish Studies! Or how about the Germans or French! Get over it! You're Black and you hate it, but it's not our fault! So how about minding your own business and leave our Governor alone. He's doing a stellar job of running our State which is REALLY why you hate him!! He doesn't put up with you Woke Folks and Your Demands! He's busy keeping this State from turning into New York or Washington D.C! It's a full time job!

If there was a proposed course in White American studies it would be clearly seen as racist and divisive. Black studies are racist and divisive. That is a certainty. How about studying AMERICAN history, about ALL Americans? No more racist courses which teach hatred for another race.

Maybe if it was a real history course, featuring the reality of the contributions that people of African descent have made to America, it would be OK with DeSantis. I assume that what he takes issue with is that the course would teach: We was all Kangs and Kweens in Wakanda until the wite Republikkkans come and enslaved us.

European history is the history of the countries of Europe, not the European "race." American history is the history of our country, from its founding to the present. Slavery, the Civil War and the civil rights movement are all part of American history. So-called African-American history is not history at all. It is sociology--how a group of people adapt in society, including dealing with obstacles.

Taming a great wild continent, building a state practicing government of the people, by the people, for the people, creating unprecedented wealth and well being unmatched in human experience. And finally freeing the world of tyrannical threats three times in a century. These are the highlights of America’s history. Civil rights struggles and freeing of Negro slaves is not unimportant but when the centuries look back, it will be a side show.

Maybe instead of being incensed by the dismissal of an AP course leading to no real value, she could raise some hackles about high schools and their students actually learning basic math and English so that they aren't paying college tuition for courses on material that most learned in high school. AP courses should probably be limited to STEM only. Many schools fail to teach basic US and world history effectively, let alone dabble in the garbage that has her undies in a bunch.

The latest numbers from the Bureau of Economic Analysis show that the U.S. economy grew by 2.9 percent in the fourth quarter of last year, and 2.1 percent for 2022. While the White House was quick to take credit for the state of the nation’s economy, they might want to think twice. This latest report should have alarm bells ringing, not trumpets sounding. That’s because economic growth is slowing down. Even the areas which contributed positively to gross domestic product (GDP) are not necessarily signs of prosperity. For example, business investment grew at only 1.4 percent in the fourth quarter, but that was almost entirely inventory growth. Nonresidential investment,

In the weeks after Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Christmastime visit to Washington, U.S., German and other European leaders became locked in an increasingly ugly t-for-tat over whether to send tanks to Ukraine. As language got heated behind the scenes, neither the U.S. nor Germany would budge — even as the standoff exposed a rare breach between two of Kyiv’s biggest backers. Ultimately, President Joe Biden decided it was more important to show a unified front and send the tanks — a move that could go down as one of the most consequential decisions in the multinational effort to arm Ukraine. Biden concluded it was important to move in lockstep with an ally,
