Addressing reporters during a Friday afternoon press briefing, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre lashed out at Florida governor Ron DeSantis over his “incomprehensible” decision to reject state approval for an Advanced Placement African-American Studies course.
“It is incomprehensible to see that this is what this ban–or this block, to be more specific–that DeSantis has put forward. If you think about the study of Black Americans, that is what he wants to block and, again, these types of actions aren’t new, especially from what we’re seeing from Florida, sadly,” Jean-Pierre told the White House press corps.

Maybe, just maybe, Little Karine, we're just sick and tired of you and your friends demanding special attention. How would you like it if I demanded Children have an AP class on Swedish Studies! Or how about the Germans or French! Get over it! You're Black and you hate it, but it's not our fault! So how about minding your own business and leave our Governor alone. He's doing a stellar job of running our State which is REALLY why you hate him!! He doesn't put up with you Woke Folks and Your Demands! He's busy keeping this State from turning into New York or Washington D.C! It's a full time job!

If there was a proposed course in White American studies it would be clearly seen as racist and divisive.
Black studies are racist and divisive. That is a certainty.
How about studying AMERICAN history, about ALL Americans?
No more racist courses which teach hatred for another race.

Her curls are wound way too tight. Affects her brain. The whole month of February is dedicated to black studies. The good and the bad. American history has been thrown out the doors of schools and replaced with lies like the 1619 project. Tell her if she doesn’t like it. Stay out of Florida.

Apparently the White House has moved beyond Trump and is now targeting DeSantis to make him the perceived front runner for 2024.

Maybe if it was a real history course, featuring the reality of the contributions that people of African descent have made to America, it would be OK with DeSantis.
I assume that what he takes issue with is that the course would teach: We was all Kangs and Kweens in Wakanda until the wite Republikkkans come and enslaved us.

European history is the history of the countries of Europe, not the European "race." American history is the history of our country, from its founding to the present. Slavery, the Civil War and the civil rights movement are all part of American history. So-called African-American history is not history at all. It is sociology--how a group of people adapt in society, including dealing with obstacles.

If Florida and DeSantis are so bad - then why are all the Haitians and Cubans risking their lives trying to get here in makeshift boats? DeSantis needs to charge the WH rent for living in their heads! He’s giving them the yips.

Just the first shot at making DeSantis a racist before the election.
Democrats gotta have that black vote.
Kissing the rings of black voters is a must when running for anything in America.

Hold her by her feet and use her as a toilet brush. Problem the course would have to be longer than one paragraph. Liability not asset. Cost item. 12% of the population 80% of problems. What else does rag doll want.

I think I figured out the secret code. If a course title ends in "studies", it will be a worthless course that will have zero job prospects. Further, it will focus primarily on grievances and create nothing but angry activists.

Taming a great wild continent, building a state practicing government of the people, by the people, for the people, creating unprecedented wealth and well being unmatched in human experience. And finally freeing the world of tyrannical threats three times in a century. These are the highlights of America’s history. Civil rights struggles and freeing of Negro slaves is not unimportant but when the centuries look back, it will be a side show.

American history can contain black history as it does all ethnic history of those who live here. People are growing tired of being jerked around by a few representatives of 12% of the population

All kids should learn about black historical figures who contributed a lot to our nation. I have long felt it was a crime against the black community that the democrat controlled education system erased the majority of what the blacks contributed.

The young lady shows entirely too much gusto in being part of the Uncle Joe Clown Show. Possibly some internalized anger over the fact that her lifestyle choices guarantee zero continuity to her part of the gene pool.

Maybe instead of being incensed by the dismissal of an AP course leading to no real value, she could raise some hackles about high schools and their students actually learning basic math and English so that they aren't paying college tuition for courses on material that most learned in high school. AP courses should probably be limited to STEM only. Many schools fail to teach basic US and world history effectively, let alone dabble in the garbage that has her undies in a bunch.

KJP will not be fired because the White House has achieved the ideal alignment by IQ of people disseminating information to the public, 1) Biden 2) Harris 3) KJP, none of which exceeds double digits. If KJP was not at the end of the information line, they would have to search graveyards to replace her and even then there is the possibility of not getting it right.

Teaching black kids that they are pathetic victims and white kids to be ashamed themselves and of the magnificent country their ancestors built is the content and purpose of these courses.
