The Biden administration is set to launch a new pilot program on Thursday that will ostensibly allow groups of Americans to directly sponsor refugees from across the globe through the State Department program called the Welcome Corps.
The program permits groups of private American citizens to sponsor individuals through the Refugee Resettlement Program if they can cough up enough money to do so, pass background checks, and devise a plan on how to support them, according to Fox News Digital. It is similar to a model used in Canada.
The program was first reported by Reuters. Groups of at least five people will be required to raise a minimum of $2,275

Price is actually $2,047.50. The remainder is for "The Big Guy."
And of that $2275, the bureaucrats will get most of it. The "sponsored" refugee would probably end up with about a buck fifty.

The audience they are speaking to is obviously the democrats/libs. The conservatives would use that money to buy them a ticket back to where they came from.

How about we sponsor a Border Agent to drop them over the border?
Or better yet, how about sponsoring a section of the The Wall?

WALL!

These days the $2,275.00 amount realistically will not even defray the cost of a “refugee” traveling to the USA and therefore should be looked as as being a political sham. As long as the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats are running that show you can safely bet that that sham program will be politically manipulated to ensure that the vast majority of the “refugees” admitted to the USA will fit within the minority categories of Democrat identity politics who the Democrats think will become Democrat political supporters and voters in the future.

Actually, it's a great idea. Let's start sponsoring immigrants from Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, etc., and register them as Republicans with their enthusiastic anti-communist concurrence.

These invaders breach our borders unimpeded, yet any prospective "sponsor" must submit to a background check? God help us all.

Imagine what this amount in "sponsorship" would do for a homeless vet instead of a "refugee."

Yeah, maybe the government could send us a picture of the refugee we "sponsor."
Getting escorted over the border by his/her Coyote.
Staying in their $500 a night NYC hotel room, ransacking the place and not eating the food provided.
And maybe a nice little note thanking us American citizen suckers!

is somebody actually perpetuating this foolishness or is the press just making it up? I can't believe it
- way to go #2, excellent entry, it's too bad I can only give you one thumbs up
we must remember that the demcommies do not like these "migrants" any more than they like our black brothers and sisters and ...
also a reminder to the demcommies: 50% of these people will become non-demcommies and maybe even Republicans in the future, if they aren't anti-demcommie now

The day is coming (with continued stolen elections) when this amount will be added to your tax bill unless you can document that you took a refugee into your home.
Next phase, you will be forced to house refugees if you have room in your home.

Has there been a new definition of ''allow'' made by the White House? It sounds like allowing someone to ''sponsor'' a refugee, or maybe like someone is going to be taxed for a refugee. Furthermore, it sounds like a neighborly little SSN ''ride share,'' if you ask me. FJB.

Oscar Blu and Ben Berquaam (my apologies if I have misspelled their names) showed wonderful footage on Steve Bannon's War Room Show yesterday of swarms of refugees and route they are taking to arrive here. Expect they will have more today.

Allow us to sponsor? Here's an idea - quit stealing so much of our income, then we'll have more to give DIRECTLY to those in need. The net effect to the recipient is at least doubled.

This is laughable but will no doubt be embraced by do-gooder liberals, their cabals, and George Soros. Most illegal immigrants claim to be asylum seekers because it’s the easiest way over the border where they can disappear and never show up in court. Of the ones who do, 82% are denied. The vast majority are not women with children. They are single males. This is yet another scheme by Biden to appeal to ‘humanitarianism’ and is complete BS.
