Former President Donald Trump's namesake family real estate firm was sentenced to the maximum allowable fine Friday in New York following its conviction on 17 counts, include a 13-year scheme to defraud.
The company will pay a fine of just over $1.6 million. While a prosecutor, Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Joshua Steinglass, conceded the amount is a fraction of the company's earnings, he called the scheme it was convicted of "far-reaching and brazen."
"The sheer magnitude of this fraud merits the largest financial sanction authorized by law," Steinglass said. "The defendants cultivated a pervasive culture of fraud."
Judge Juan Merchan imposed the maximum sentence and scolded the defense

$1.6 million in pennies, dumped on the steps of the ag's office building or the steps of the court house! Or nickels and dimes!

“conceded the amount is a fraction of the company's earnings, ”
NEVER have seen that wording when referring to penalties by favored corporations.
(How badly do they hate PDJT?)

Two words, Steinglass…
Al Sharpton
I believe that he owed over $4 million and that was at least a decade ago. Did he every pay up? If not, what’s the owed amount now with fines and penalties? Oh, silly me. People like Sharpton never pay up and never accrue any fines or penalties.

"In addition to the fine, the Trump Organization faces potential collateral consequences that could be more severe if banks call in loans or business partners cancel contracts due to internal clauses that prohibit doing business with felons."
They hate Trump and are hoping to cause exactly what they cited in the last paragraph.

Based upon $1.6 Million in disallowed charges/deductions over more than Ten years, under $100k/yr differences in filings that covered $Billions per year in cash flows....VS...Hunter Biden failing to report and underpaying his Taxes by more than $2million over 2 years, resulting in a 3rd party paying those arrears on his behalf, at the last minute...in an attempt to get a lower fine/sentence. An attempt at "Mooting" the damages.

These types of personal payments can be found in every single corporation in America, and in every politician's personal affairs. This is a petty political lawsuit. I bet the judge in this case, with his pontifications, could not withstand a personal IRS audit without having to pay for items he did not report. I ask to be allowed to perform that audit. I promise I will find something. It is that easy.

One of Trumps execs went to Rikers for using company cars and facilities. Do the filthy corrupt public thieves use tax paid autos, tax paid facilities slithering through their work days? Damn right they do.

Another spin. There was no sentencing, just a fine. Companies get fined every day for tax issues or worse. Think of the millions in tax avoided by tax exempt organizations and their donors that sponsor some "social' or "cultural" event or conference paying political speakers expenses who promote their election indirectly. Hillary Clinton is an expert at it even using her own foundation to fund it. The problem is corrupt the New York machine. they don't even try to hide it.

Hyperbolic spin makes this more op-ed than report. And being from ABC makes it Anything But Credible. Thanks to careful use of words and phrasing, this sounds far closer to Trump and far more incriminating than reality. The quintessential woke network is emptying all barrels on the anti-woke President. They can gag on maggots, as far as I'm concerned, for posting this hit piece coverage of a contemporary lynching.
