Banking giant Wells Fargo has made a 2023 prediction: the Walt Disney Company, which abruptly brought back former CEO Bob Iger to reverse the woke company’s rapid downward spiral late this year, will end its ownership of TV networks ABC and ESPN.
Bank analysts are predicting that some of the “big changes” Iger promised to initiate will include shedding the TV network and the cable sports network, both of which have been losing viewers, Fox Business Network reported. “Spinning off the two networks is the best path forward and a probable late 2023 event, leaving the Walt Disney Company an attractive pure play intellectual property company,” FBN wrote.

And exactly who is surprised? They insulted, alienated, and even cursed their main customer base, middle class American parents of young children. Who wants to take their kids to Walt Groomers Land?
Never a good idea to repulse the folks that pay the bills.

Of course they’re all losing viewers, subscribers and market share. We’ve all been explaining for years that fully half the country (probably more) are not going to tolerate their insulting, condescending, woke programming and we’re certainly not going to pay to watch it. Either wake up or go bankrupt. No one cares.

You wanna be woke, you gotta pay the price. Commercials for Disneyland flaunting in our face people of odd sexual persuasions cannot be helpful to the bottom line. My family used to make yearly trips from the mid-west to visit Disneyland. That is at an end.

In another sign of the times, ABC lost its third-place standing in the ratings last year as cable news network Fox News claimed the third most viewers in primetime, according to a Forbes report. This is an unheard of success for a cable network considering that the big three TV networks — CBS, NBC, and ABC — were once the unchallenged kings of television broadcasting.
Weren't they once the only television broadcasters? As for Disney, got dragged to the 'Avatar' sequel today. 3+ hours of white military supremacists invading/exploiting people of color who just wanted to continue living in peaceful coexistence, burning their villages (Vietnam, anyone?), killing their large sea mammals, and gang acceptance was essential for the youth. Oh, and lots of guns, too - even after Cameron says he cut 10 minutes of it. What's up with that?

I hope they lose everything. You dont betray American familes and children and expect your fairies and pedophiles to carry the day. When I'm flipping through the channels if I see a Disney show I keep flipping. They are no longer welcome in my house.

If they would just get back to making good movies....this weekend I watched The Incredibles and it was as good as I remembered it. Then I tried Strange World and gave up after about 10 minutes.

Our mother disliked Disney and was irked by the gleeful free advertising Disney received from the mainstream broadcast media. Many years ago, an art teacher she knew, or knew of was threatened by Disney for using a Mickey Mouse motif on school carnival posters.

Not mentioned is the fact that the viewing public has dropped all of them. As they used to say for the improper use of computers - Garbage In Garbage Out. Apparently, attempts to sexually abuse America's children and allowing single-digit IQ athletes to preach to us like they were descendants of Socrates has not been a workable business plan.

What a shame. Disney has made such progress with ESPN over the last twenty years. ESPN has just the right number of women, black women, black men, and a virtual lock on NBA basketball games and coverage. I thought that would be the recipe to gain viewership and advertising revenue.

Iger won't be the savior of Disney, since he's the architect of their PC madness. He can sell off (or spin off) ABC and ESPN, but the rot at the core of Disney will remain in the "creative" divisions that insist on inserting pervert characters in everything they produce, and Iger's willingness to pander to them. As for their theme parks, Disney's "courtesy warnings" to visitors should be a red flag that an undesirable element is a growing problem among their visitors.

The release of this news suggests that someone is greasing the skids for something. I wonder why Wells Fargo is involved.

Pumping propaganda doesn't sell. ESPN would probably be fine if they just did sports, but no, from what I hear. I never watch ESPN, more because I am disinterested in most of the "stick and ball games" than for political reasons.
And ABC.....I avoid it like the propaganda plague that it is.
Fewer and fewer people want to put up with the stream of lies, coverups and propaganda coming from "news" outlets, and there aren't really any regular TV shows left that are worth the time. Endless racial and political garbage has overwhelmed actual normal plots, to the point that there's "200 channels and nothing on".

How does anyone watch ESPN? I can't handle girls acting like they know more about sports than the guys who actually played them. Get rid of all the girls and make ESPN whatever it was again. Or not. Most athletes and sports analysts are using the internet or other resources anyway. Nobody watches TV the old way. I'll bet taxpayers are subsidizing old TV though. You can always count on that.

When Disney's target audience were groomers, pedophiles and homosexuals' good luck with their support to make your huge profits. The real support and money walked away now Disney is just as sleazy has a back street dive bar.
