Why Does the GOP Elite Hate Its Own Base?

Original Article

Posted By: GustoGrabber, 12/9/2022 6:47:13 AM

It is one of the most bitter and tragic ironies of our contemporary politics that the leadership of one of America’s two major political parties, the Republican Party, utterly despises that party’s very own voting base. The GOP elite’s scorn for its own voters has, at this point, been a long time in the making. The trend accelerated during the 2009-2011 rise of the Tea Party, a grassroots movement fueled by constitutionalism and anti-elite populism. The crustier elements of the Republican establishment ran as far away as possible from the Tea Party, and the 2012 presidential coronation of private equity plutocrat Mitt Romney effectively killed the movement.

Before Trump was elected (the 1st time) GOP leaders were honest enough to admit all they wanted to do was "manage the decline (of America, getting rich in the process.) At the top level, the GOP is just a fake arm of the uniparty. They play at being the loyal opposition, but really offer no true alternative. Trump exposed that. His supporters aren't a trustworthy base for the GOP. Trump supporters refuse to send cash to the GOP to dole out to uniparty members over Trump supporters.

Option 2 - The republican party will cease to exist has already started. Not one dime, no support whatsoever of any kind for the republican party. It needs to go. It is as corrupt and as big an enemy to our Republic and our way of life as the Communist Death Democrat Party and the Federal Government. We should right now have a super majority in the House and the Senate.

Because far too many voters are dumb and keep voting in people they should know hate them and all they stand for. I despise but do not blame the establishment GOP America haters for what they do. It's the Republican base's fault for falling for their "vote for us because blue is so much worse!" false dichotomy. We have a real choice. Stop voting for these people and stop giving them time and stop volunteering for their campaigns. They are not a valid alternative to the left. They -are- the left. It's why they hate you. Vote conservative, support conservative. If there's no conservative on the ballot do not vote for the lesser evil. They're still evil and do not deserve your support.

A very important and sobering article. We all know this information, but this really begins to sink in and hit home. fta: "Raheem Kassam has dubbed the GOP’s “McLeadership”—Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel—appears poised to remain in power. Republican leadership to the Republican rank-and-file: SHUT UP AND GO AWAY (caps mine) Some republican stalwarts voted to sell U.S. so average Americans who have religious free--speech dissent of gay marriage can now be SUED-- Elise Stefanik, Kat Kammack and Darrell Issa-- time for a REAL party who represents the BASE yet???

Several state that the current GOP is no longer “Republican”, no they are truly Republican. The problem is that so many have simply been lied to, used, and betrayed because we believed the false mask that was presented as the Republican Party and believed the lies used to get our support and votes represented the core belief of the Republican Party. We elect personalities who parrot what we wish to hear but once the election is over we are discarded as mere deplorable. No the GOP died years ago if not decades ago with the possible exception of Reagan who was forced to take on Bush Sr as VP which keep things in check.

Republicrat elites want two things: a modest degree of power and prestige, and to be liked at the country club and bars. First they want some power over their republican followers; not too much...just enough to be able to lord over their own voters. Too much power would mean they'd be held responsible for accomplishing, or not accomplishing what they promise to accomplish. By not being in leadership control, they can rant all day about what they would accomplish if only they could. Second, they want their political opponents on the democrat side to like them. When they walk into the country club or evening bar, they want to get the "NORM!" treatment; even if it's meant in a sarcastic "Here come the idiots" way that democrats talk to republicrats. It gives McConnell, McCarthy and their ilk a warm and fuzzy feeling to be faux-liked. So there are the two reasons they treat their voters like trash. It's how they get treated by the democrats and it feels fine.

Why? Because the GOPe are Uniparty DIRDS (Democ'RATS in Republican Disguise). By the time most people have a voice- in the general election- the candidates have already been chosen. All too often, it is a choice between a Democ'RAT and a DIRD. I oppose forming a third party..... most uninformed voters (which are the vast bulk of the voters) vote for one party or the other. Third party candidates are relegated to the fringes. It seems to me that the way forward is for Conservatives to take over the Republican party, the way the Communists have taken over the Democ'RAT party. But to do it...... that's the Rub. Most people who want less government, who want the government out of everyone's lives, are busy working and making a living. By nature they are not into politics on an everyday basis. Most of the people who are into politics everyday want to run everyone else's life..... which means they are Leftist Democ'RATS. Add in the leftist 'mainstream' media and the leftist online media - Yahoo, Google, MSNBC and the rest..... and the scales are tipped against us.

FTA, “Those voters were sick of the same-old Republican pablum…” We are still sick of this. The following is also FTA. It is well-said, very true and very troublesome; “The leadership can ameliorate the chasm by listening to or better accommodating the rank-and-file, or the organization will cease to exist. Because for the GOP, that status quo is simply unsustainable.”

Professional politicians have no love for the amateurs, who are mostly one-issue ideologues seeking to derail them. In the case of the Tea Party, one could see at the March on Washington how the movement would be co-opted by the pros. Anyone there could see the "Vote for Me" wrapped busses parked seemingly everywhere, the hired "ambassadors" handing out merch and flyers touting this or that organization, PAC or politician...all of them on "our" side. And then came the big suck...right into partisan politics. It was fun while it lasted.

In answer to the headlines question.: The USSR sent hundreds of deep infiltratoprs into the USA for years. They spoke like Americans, publicly acted like Americans and wormed the way into politics, religion and Education. Do you imagine they LOVED the citizens they aped? We have a moveable caste system in this country. We would never admit it but it is there. Individuals can move up and down the system but those at the top like the political class believe they have the right to rule over the great unwashed masses. The country has been open to the movement between the classes and Americans have taken advantage of that mobility, but the caste system is still very much working. This is why the political elite look down their noses at the middle class. They have even gone so far as to try and pull the financial rug out from under them by outsourcing manufacturing and keeping the political caste pure. Only approved individuals who have paid their dues are permitted to move into the higher echelon of Americans. The working class slobs who actually make the country work are not worthy. They don’t go to the right schools or have the best pedigrees so it’s best to keep them in their place especially when they actually believe the government is one of, by and for the people. How dare they believe they can drive a political philosophy. The fact the Donald Trump recognized the importance of the working class and actually supported it and built a political philosophy that finally recognized their legitimate contribution to this country was why was he treated as a pariah. He embraced what they considered beneath them. He understood the forgotten men and women and was their champion. This is the egregious mistake that can never be forgiven by the political elites. It made him totally unacceptable and worse, unworthy. He rightly understood that all the animosity toward him from both political parties was because of their loathing and hatred of us. He was just in the way. This is the crux of our problem. Our government elites are determined to crush the movement that President Trump created when he addressed the concerns of everyday Americans. Look no further than the betrayal of our values by both parties. The recent marriage act is one of contempt for our Judeo-Christian founding. It is an in your face rebuke to us for daring to believe that marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman, a concept that has been affirmed since the beginning of time. It is a pair bonding that creates families which is the foundation of any civilization. What these political elites have decided is that it is they who have the power to define an institution that has been the foundation for civilization. These arrogant politicians believe it is their right to define ancient truths and rule over us. Furthermore, they have usurped our rights as American citizens to choose our own leaders. When they stole 2020 and got away with it that emboldened them to flex their political muscle and let it be known just who wields the power in this country. They cut off our only recourse to change, the ballot box. Now we go on pretending we the people have a say in our government and they continue to show us who’s boss. How do you feel about stolen elections now? Think maybe fighting a little harder after the 2020 fiasco would have been a better strategy? Moving on as we were advised by our betters didn’t turn out so well. It only made the political elites more powerful and they survived to continue to sit at the top of the hierarchy in the country playing God with our way of life.

On November 15, 2022, several of the world’s biggest banks agreed to a shocking new plan — one that could lead to a complete overthrow of the U.S. dollar as we know it. Sponsored by the New York Federal Reserve, participants in this plan include banking giants like Wells Fargo, Citigroup, HSBC, and Mastercard, just to name a few. The pilot program — dubbed “Project Cedar” — would convert regular U.S. dollars into a brand-new type of dollar, which could have massive implications for all American citizens. But “Project Cedar” is just the second step in a complete overhaul of the U.S. banking system.

Reports surfaced two weeks ago that Florida Republicans are considering changing the state’s “resign-to-run” law so Governor Ron DeSantis could throw his hat in the ring for the 2024 presidential nomination without losing his governorship. It is one sign among many that DeSantis, or those close to him, are thinking about taking on Donald Trump in the primary. A word of warning and wisdom to DeSantis: Don’t do it. DeSantis is a promising politician with a real future on the national scene. He should want to be president. But not yet. DeSantis needs to understand his true self-interest. Running for president in 2024 isn’t it.

Few factions of American political life have suffered a fall as lamentable as the neoconservatives, a group of Reaganite intellectuals who held sway in Republican politics from the mid-1990s until the advent of Donald J. Trump. Idealists who pushed a globally managed new world order after the Cold War, they advocated failed nation-building around the world, compromised domestically with tax-and-spend neoliberals, contentedly ceded control of cultural politics to the Left, and ended up a dainty, bow-tied coterie of controlled opposition subsumed by Washington’s ossified elite. Feckless, out of touch, out of power, and often quite happy to be that way in exchange for comfortable lives of blue-state social acceptability, neocons

The event was sponsored in part by the Lyndon Baines Johnson Foundation, a curious choice to discuss the future of conservative ideas. It is a difficult shift in thinking to appropriately understand, but the party system in U.S. politics revolves around two clubs that feed from the same corporate trough and position for influence and affluence within a political dynamic they control.

You might have gotten the feeling that—putting aside the legal cheating through mail-in ballots and ballot harvesting—the real enemy of the red wave in 2022 wasn’t Democrats but was, instead, Republicans. According to Sundance, writing at The Conservative Treehouse, if you had that feeling, you’re right on the money. According to him, we’re witnessing an all-out civil war in the Republican party that’s going to escalate as we near the 2024 presidential election. The fight is over money: Is there an American economy that benefits the American people or is the future economy purely transnational for the benefit of the leadership class

Since the “red wave” fizzled out, a consensus has quickly emerged in the media that Donald Trump is no longer a viable political force. The newly anointed prince of the Right, according to the tastemakers, is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Trump’s more palatable, less chaotic protégé. But DeSantis and Trump offer two very different things. DeSantis is a conventional politician with Trump-like qualities, who can, at least according to his fan base, build a popular majority that is beyond Trump’s reach. Trump is a radical outsider to a rigged, illegitimate political system with which he has been at war for seven years,

The meeting took place last September and at one point Hunter Biden joined in via video conference.

The Guardian just reported the results of a study of 2 million-year-old DNA found in northern Greenland. Two-million-year-old DNA from northern Greenland has revealed that the region was once home to mastodons, lemmings and geese, offering unprecedented insights into how climate change can shape ecosystems. The breakthrough in ancient DNA analysis pushes back the DNA record by 1m years to a time when the Arctic region was 11-19C warmer than the present day. The analysis reveals that the northern peninsula of Greenland, now a polar desert, once featured boreal forests of poplar and birch trees teeming with wildlife. The work offers clues to how species might adapt,

On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The ReidOut,” Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) stated that Viktor Bout, the arms dealer who was serving time in prison for agreeing to supply weapons to U.S. agents posing as Colombian terrorists to kill Americans, freed by the Biden administration in the prisoner swap to secure the release of Brittney Griner from Russia, is “a nasty, bad” person, but “He has not killed Americans.” Although, Jackson Lee noted that Bout’s “weapons might have been used to kill Americans.” Jackson Lee stated, “Let me say this, no one knows the story of Paul — of the weapons dealer, if you will.

Violent and disrespectful classroom behavior has led to a staggering 50 teachers and bus drivers to quit a Florida school district in the last two years. Brevard County School District, the state’s 10th-largest, held a heated meeting Thursday that offered an unvarnished and often disturbing glimpse into the state of its classrooms. “On an everyday basis I am deflecting being attacked, scratched, headbutted, pushed, hit,” teacher Alicia Kelderhouse said as her voice choked with emotion. “I’ve had my hair pulled, and pulled down to the ground. I’ve had my throat gone for on multiple occasions. It’s on an everyday basis right now.”

Brittney Griner negotiator Bill Richardson has expressed his sadness that Paul Whelan didn't come home together with the basketball star, adding that he thinks Russian President Vladimir Putin overruled his advisers at the end of negotiations, dismissing a "two-for-two" exchange of prisoners. "I was sad that Paul Whelan was not part of it. I've been for four years trying to find formulas to get Paul back, but it always seems that, at the very end, there's a roadblock," Richardson, a former New Mexico governor and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, told CBC on Friday. "I thought there would

Victor Bout gave his first interview on Saturday since his release from prison in the US. On Friday, Joe Biden traded the “Merchant of Death” for pot-smoking America-hating WNBA star Brittney Griner. WNBA star Brittney Griner was found guilty of drug smuggling with criminal intent in a Russian court back in August. Russian prosecutors pushed for a sentence of 9.5 years in a penal colony. Russia released Brittney in exchange for international arms dealer Viktor Bout.

Kari Lake has filed a lawsuit challenging the Arizona gubernatorial election results - and is seeking a court order that declares her the winner. The 70-page suit filed on Friday asks for an order declaring that Lake is the winner of the 2022 Arizona gubernatorial election, or alternatively throwing out the results and requiring the state's Maricopa county to conduct a new election.  Lake has refused to acknowledge that she lost to Katie Hobbs by more than 17,000 votes.  The suit filed in Maricopa County Superior Court centers on long lines and other difficulties that people experienced while voting on Election Day in Maricopa County.

Renowned soccer journalist Grant Wahl has died, the U.S. Soccer Federation reported Friday. Wahl, 48, was in Qatar covering the World Cup when he passed away. Wahl’s agent, Tim Scanlan, said that the journalist “appeared to have suffered some sort of acute distress in the press room” of the stadium during the quarterfinal match between Argentina and the Netherlands, when the two teams began playing in extra time. Paramedics were called to the scene, Scanlan said, but were unable to revive him.

The Detroit school board is trying to remove Dr. Ben Carson’s name from a high school that was named in his honor. This is cancel culture. They are obviously going after Carson because he is a Republican who worked for the Trump administration. Dozens of people who worked with Carson are standing up for him now. They wrote a column for FOX News: We worked for Dr. Ben Carson. We know Dr. Ben Carson. Canceling him is just not right. Education is the gateway to opportunity. It’s the medicine that cures most ails, and it is the means by which we equip our next generations with the tools they need

Most of the 1,350 workers at the Belvidere plant are hourly employees who could be eligible for a combination of state unemployment and supplemental unemployment benefits, which are paid by

She served as an outrageous foil for Carlson, who debated her on her outrageous claims of support for a variety of bizarre radical left positions. On Friday, December 9, Areu was arrested and jailed in Miami, Florida, according to the Daily Mail which broke the story, for “kidnapping her own mom TWICE and scamming her out of $224,000.” The Daily Mail article, published on December 9,

Despite the midterm elections loss of four compelling Republican Senate candidates, a handful of persistent, emboldened senators have stepped forward to re-establish their authority, thereby creating the beginning of a paradigm shift in the Senate's balance of power. In addition, on January 3, four new senators, all oriented to America First, will take their seats. Beginning with the November 16 challenge to Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)'s thirty-year reign, ten senators voted to oppose his 2022 reappointment.
