Apple is pushing to expedite a pivot away from manufacturing in China, as protests swell over the country's strict zero-Covid policies and riots thwart production. The technology giant is ramping up efforts to shift production to other Asian countries like India and Vietnam in order to distance itself from Foxconn, one of the company's top suppliers and operator of the world's largest iPhone factory in China, according to the Wall Street Journal. While the move has been planned for months, after shifting COVID-19 policies enacted by the Chinese Communist Party first began to threaten production earlier this year, sources told the Journal that recent uprisings at the Zhengzhou

What about the kids, some the age of 4, that dig lithium out of the ground with their bare hands, breathing in the fumes, while sifting thru the dirt. They do this 12 hours a day, everyday. Does that stop. Or, china using huge machines to dig for the lithium totally destroying the crust of the earth. does that stop? There has to be other ways to mine lithium and not destroy lives and the planet. I never see or hear of protestors throwing paint or flour on their phones to protest the abuse of kids or the digging up of the earth.

Several GOP lawmakers blasted the monstrous $1.7 trillion spending bill released Tuesday morning out of the gate, with complaints that they were only given days to read the 4,155-page deal reached by some Senate Republicans and congressional Democrats in an effort to avert a government shutdown. Now, details are trickling out about what is actually contained in the last-minute omnibus, and North Carolina GOP Rep. Dan Bishop took to Twitter to flag what he called "some of the most egregious provisions in the bill." Bishop revealed in a tweet thread that the package "expressly prohibits [Customs and Border Protection] funding from being used to improve border security,"

Wanna bet? I’m so old that I remember when media outlets would have considered “extreme” any allegations that governments would abuse pandemic-tracking tools. And yet, here we have the Associated Press reporting its scoop today that reveals precisely that outcome. After first insisting that individual privacy had to be set aside in an emergency, the AP seems shocked, shocked to find that governments like being able to track and snoop on its subjects — er, citizens: In the pandemic’s bewildering early days, millions worldwide believed government officials who said they needed confidential data for new tech tools that could help stop coronavirus’ spread. The Democratic-led House Ways and Means Committee released a report on former President Donald Trump's taxes Tuesday after voting to make public six years' worth of the former president's tax returns, the culmination of a years-long quest from House Democrats to obtain the former president's taxes. The panel approved a motion on a party-line vote to release the materials to the House, clearing the way for Trump's tax returns to be released publicly within a matter of days. The vote was approved with all Democrats voting in favor and all Republicans voting no. Shortly after the vote, the committee released a report on the failures of the presidential audit program along

This is the first time Musk has mentioned stepping down as chief of the social media platform, after Twitter users voted decisively in a poll for him to step down, which the billionaire launched on Sunday evening. Wall Street calls for Musk to step down had been growing for weeks and recently even Tesla Inc bulls have questioned his focus  CORRECTIONS*

Governor Greg Abbott deployed 400 Texas National Guard troops to El Paso in preparation of Title 42 ending and the current on-going crisis of illegal migrants flooding into the city. Thousands of illegal migrants crossed into El Paso last week and city resources are overwhelmed. The increased presence of the Texas National Guard is to protect El Paso and stop illegal migrants from continuing to cross the border. Title 42 is scheduled to end on Wednesday. Chief Justice John Roberts issued an order to stay the lifting of Title 42 on Monday at the request of 19 Republican-led states.

Twitter worked with the Pentagon to promote fake accounts in the Middle East which praised U.S. policy, it has emerged - despite the social media company insisting that it made 'concerted efforts' to 'detect and thwart government-backed platform manipulation'. The collusion spanned at least four years, from 2017 to 2020, and saw top Twitter executives liaise with military intelligence on 'a covert online PsyOp campaign' - promoting accounts including one that claimed the U.S. drone bombings in Yemen killed only terrorists. The revelations were made by Lee Fang, who on Tuesday published the eighth installment of what is termed the Twitter Files.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky is planning to visit Washington on Wednesday and may meet US President Joe Biden, reports say. It would be his first foreign trip since the Russian invasion in February. Mr Zelensky could also address Congress, unnamed officials told US media. There is no official confirmation of the visit or the plans. A visit would be fraught with security concerns - meaning plans could likely change at short notice. In a letter on Tuesday, Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi urged members of Congress to be in attendance on Wednesday night.

Whatever else Elon Musk may have had in mind for Twitter, his concerns over censorship have clearly remained paramount since taking ownership. He re-upped Part 7 of the Twitter Files just to emphasize that issue, and what Twitter’s internal records show: I missed this follow-the-money aspect yesterday in the deluge of evidence of FBI attempts to curate and censor political debate and dissent. As we reported, the latest Twitter files revealed that the FBI pushed Twitter and other social media to squash the Hunter Biden laptop story without any evidence that it was a foreign operation and that they arranged for Top Secret security clearances for executives of Twitter to see some of the information that they wanted them to pursue regarding election “threats.” That was a far cry from the disclaimer the FBI issued last week when the Twitter files started dropping. They said that they just provided information to Twitter and that whatever Twitter did with it was their own business. But it gets worse.

But no—Stanford employed a task force that worked for months to advocate that no one on campus use the word “American” because “This term often refers to people from the United States only, thereby insinuating that the US is the most important country in the Americas. . .” It gets worse from there.

To be absolutely fair, Joe Biden has said a lot of things that are just not true. However, if this newly-surfaced video is Biden being honest, then perhaps there is hope that not everything will be ruined by 2024. The Biden administration has wanted to rekindle an old flame in the Iran nuclear deal established by Barack Obama and undone by Donald Trump. However, there hasn’t been much of an opportunity for it, considering all of the issues the administration has had to deal with. Crisis after crisis have and are continuing to dominate their resources, so the Iran deal has been repeatedly pushed to the side.

If you are a conservative voter in America today at some point you have to realize you have no representation in the US Senate. No, McConnell said that "providing assistance for Ukrainians to defeat the Russians is the number one priority for the United States right now, according to most Republicans." Really?

The Louisville lawmaker said her son had just received a significant promotion working for the Human Rights Campaign, which advocates for LGBTQ rights.  He had finally found a community, she said, 'but that could not undo the brokenness that he already felt.'

The question in the title needs, I believe, critical examination. Why DOES the Left hate Trump so much? The answer, as usual, can largely be found by analyzing history. But first. Do they hate him because the average price of a gallon of gas in his administration was far lower than under Biden? Is it because inflation was low (around 2%) and trending downward? Is it that the USA was energy independent and didn’t need to beg our enemies for oil, deplete our strategic oil reserve or sell it to China? Is it because black and Hispanic unemployment was lower than at any time in history?

Add yet another government overreach to the “Things You Didn’t Think Could Happen in America” file: Democrats on the lame-duck House and Ways and Means Committee voted Tuesday to release six years of former President Donald Trump’s tax returns. Why? Because they um, uh—because they want to? But wait, you say to yourself, that’s not possible; your tax returns are private by federal law, and therefore protected from release. The Dems of course found a sleazy way around that. The tax code allows the committee to look at people’s tax returns to provide “oversight” of the Internal Revenue Service, and by writing an official report on their findings,

The transportation sector accounts for nearly 40% of greenhouse gas emissions in Oregon. The Elimination of Harmful Language Initiative will also aim to educate people about the impact that 'racist, violent and biased' words have.
