Oregon school board takes meetings online

Original Article

The North Clackamas School District in Oregon is only the latest in a long string of districts where parents have grown fed up with the school’s woke leftist policies being approved by the school board. Parents have been showing up for school board meetings with a list of grievances over inappropriate, sexualized material in the schools, gender-bending indoctrination, and policies intended to keep secrets from parents regarding their children’s development. After one recent meeting, the board decided to respond, but not by addressing the parents’ concerns. They instead announced that all future meetings would be held “online,” depriving the parents of the opportunity to be heard.

Replace the school board. When they do this, they are terrified of parents. Grind them down.

That is the only circumstance where I agree with doxing and demonstrating at private residences. By running for election and holding office, they are public figures and required to answer to their voters. If they hide, it's grounds for recall. I also heard you can affect their schools insurance through complaints concerning the safety of the students. If the individual loses their insurance they cannot hold office.

Aren’t there bylaws that set how a school board meetings are structured? Don’t they have to be public? Our school board had a vacancy and the high school principal encouraged a 23 yr old alumni who is gay and fully supports this trans stupidity to fill it. Our school board allowed it. This is a very conservative community for the most part. We have to wait 2 more years until he’s actually on the ballot. But he can do a lot of damage in 2 years.

Many states have laws requiring public meetings for government boards. Time to look at the state laws and if this exists in Oregon, file a lawsuit and force them to go back to public meetings and dealing with the people that they actually work for.

The only way to stop this school board insanity is to destroy the public schools by pulling your kids out of them. No kids, no funds, no school boards. This country is full of home schooling networks. Look into it.

#11 is correct. A good start has been made by many parents opting to not return their kids to public schools post "pandemic". Big city schools are suffering a drop in attendance which, of course, has the teachers unions and leftists in a panic. If this continues, look for attempts to ban homeschooling. The left would like to do that now.

All public schools in Houston will be closed Monday after the city issued a boil water notice Sunday evening due to a loss of water pressure at a purification plant, officials said. The Houston Independent School District said on Twitter it is monitoring the situation and will provide additional updates Monday. "Earlier today, the water pressure dropped below the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality's required minimum of 20 PSI during a power outage at the East Water Purification Plant," a Sunday news release from the city said.

Already out of Thanksgiving cheer, The New York Times delivered a cold housewarming greeting to the incoming Republican-controlled House of Representatives in Saturday’s “Meet the House Republicans Who Will Wield Power in the New Congress.” Reporters Catie Edmondson, Luke Broadwater, and Emily Cochrane made it clear what they thought of the incoming GOP, as an unwelcome disruptor of the poor put-upon Democratic President Biden: Republicans may have won control of the House by only the slimmest of margins, but in a chamber that operates purely by majority rule, their razor-thin edge has given them all the tools they need to plunge the Biden administration into a morass

The look and feel of the war in Ukraine has been changing in recent weeks. There are fewer pitched ground battles of “army versus army” and a lot more Russian shelling and Ukrainian air defense missiles being fired in response. We’ve already seen evidence that Russia is probably running out of missiles, but that doesn’t mean that Ukraine is in much better shape. The artillery shelling in both directions is running nearly 24/7 and all of that action eventually takes a toll on the equipment. It’s now being reported that of the roughly 350 howitzers that have been donated to Ukraine by western allies, fully one-third of them

China has always been a brutal communist tyranny, a giant prison where some 11 million people have fled who were able to, just in 2019 alone. But it seems the 34,000 COVID cases in the country have been enough to put the entire nation of one billion into a lockdown prison -- of mankind's worst nightmare. When they say 'lockdown,' they mean literally welding people's apartments shut -- with the people in them. Former GOP House Speaker Paul Ryan is offering two reasons why GOP voters should walk away from President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential primary campaign. “We want to win,” the establishment champion told ABC News’ This Week on November 20. Trump “is going to continue to lose altitude” in primary polls because “he’s unelectable because [of] that suburban voter.” The second reason offered by Ryan is his own alternative 2024 White House platform. That platform breaks from Trump’s mostly-populist policies and offers voters a series of healthcare cuts, more wage-cutting migrants, new carbon taxes, and lower taxes for corporate investors. “I have presidential-sized policy ambition, but I really don’t have presidential-sized personal ambition,” said Ryan,
