to be part of the problem': Mike Pence

my family and everyone there' by tweeting
as supporters ransacked the Capitol on

Mike Pence has admitted he was angry at Donald Trump when the then-president accused him of cowardice and set the mob on him on January 6, describing Trump's actions as 'reckless'. Pence, who served as Trump's vice president, told ABC News in his first television interview since the riot that Trump 'decided to be part of the problem'. On January 6 Pence, who refused Trump's demands to overturn the 2020 election, was inside the Capitol when it was breached. The mob erected a gallows with a noose outside the building, and Pence was at one point only 40 feet from the invaders.

His precarious position was caused by two basic items: 1. His cowardice in rejecting defective state certifications. 2. The failure of the Speaker of the House to accept the national guard from the president. Mike, shut up and disappear into Indiana somewhere.

Has he criticized the people in charge of security for refusing to have adequate security in place for the expected crowd? Does he have any questions concerning the actions of certain identified actors such as ray epps and the guy with the bull horn? No, he’s worried about tweets. It would be interesting to know what percentage of the crowd were actively following Trump’s twitter account for guidance. Was Pence following Trump’s tweets in real time that day?

If the wimpy establishment Republicans ever nominate Pence as their Presidential candidate the aggressive Democrats will stomp Pence into the gutter during the run-up to the Presidential election. Yes a couple of the idiots stole some souvenirs and those people should be slapped on the wrist. But nobody ransacked anything to speak of. This is the kind of biased reporting we get. Insurrection my left foot. What I saw was a police riot attacking people after sitting on the asses for most of the day. Remember the only people who were killed that day was a woman beaten to death and an unarmed woman shot to death buy and out of control cop.

While I'm not about to jump on the Pence bandwagon, I will give him some room here. On January 6, there wasn't much he could (or should) have done besides seat the electors certified by the states, Sadly, our court system refused to hear any valid challenge to the election rules which were routinely violated by many states, including Penna., Wis., Mich., Ga, Ariz., and Nev, (and we're seeing that happen again in 2022). Nancy and her henchmen were unprepared and also provided some of the instigators for the J6 fiasco. Ray Epps, please call your FBI officer.

FTA: “On January 6 Pence, who refused Trump's demands to overturn the 2020 election,...” / President Trump DID NOT demand Vice President Pence overturn the 2020 election. What President Trump hoped Vice President Pence would do was not illegal; the Electoral Count Act of 1887 “...aims to minimize Congressional involvement in election disputes, instead placing the primary responsibility to resolve disputes upon the states. The Act sets out procedures and deadlines for the states to follow in resolving disputes, certifying results, and sending the results to Congress.” In the past 20 years, Electoral College Certifications were objected to three times by Democrats. In 2001, “House Democrats challenged the certification of electoral votes for then-Texas Governor George W. Bush, a Republican...” In 2017, Vice President Joe Biden “oversaw certification of the electoral votes that handed the presidency to Donald Trump. House Democrats had challenged the electoral slate. In 2005, Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D, OH) and Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) “together challenged Bush’s victory in Ohio on grounds of alleged voter irregularities.” Ted Cruz wanted Congress to “appoint an Electoral Commission, with full investigatory and fact-finding authority to conduct an audit of election results before Inauguration Day on Jan. 20. Once the audit was completed, states would evaluate the Commission’s findings and could convene a special legislative session to certify a change in their vote, if needed.” The decision Mike Pence made was his to make; however, there was nothing immoral about pursuing the Constitutional action President Trump wanted to pursue not solely for his personal benefit, but because of the morality in seating a presidential candidate as a result of voter fraud, sanctioning such a precedent for future elections.

I am wondering how obtuse you have to be to think that it was President Trump who urged the mob to break things and threaten Pence? It is well documented that President Trump told the protesters who attended his speech to be PEACEFUL, if they chose to go to the Capital. It is a fact that Ray Epps and FBI agents agitated the crowd, who weren't at the Trump speech. Antifa was there breaking a window when a Trump supporter tackled him. The Capital police willfully opened locked doors to the Capital. Trump didn't order them to do that. Capital police beat a woman to death and shot an unarmed woman to death. Who ordered that? Not Trump. President Trump offered 10,000 National Guard troops to DC to prevent violence, the DC mayor and Pelosi rejected the offer. A certain poster really needs to learn some basic facts before posting foolish, opinions. Unless that is his new job.

On November 4, 2022, the Republican staff of the House Judiciary Committee published a report based primarily on whistleblower testimony, describing how the FBI and the Justice Department have become politically weaponized against conservatives. I strongly urge every AT reader to download the report and spend 30 to 60 minutes reading the first 50 pages. Here are a few of the salient points. The Washington Field Office is manipulating its case filing system to feign a nationwide rise in domestic terrorism. The geography of where a crime is committed ordinarily determines who will open an FBI file. For example,

Faced with questions about his ability to lead after the midterm election debacle, a defiant Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell deflected blame from his own culpability in the Democrats retaining control of the upper chamber and instead blamed it on public dissatisfaction with MAGA candidates. The embattled McConnell spoke to reporters on Tuesday, defending his dismal performance and the refusal to adequately fund candidates who were endorsed by former and perhaps future President Donald J. Trump such as Blake Masters in Arizona, instead spending money to support RINO Lisa Murkowski in Alaska against her America first opponent, also a Republican.

She’s a two-time Academy Award-winning film star, an outspoken activist, a veteran fitness guru and an all-around icon — and at 84, Jane Fonda believes her days of accepting accolades and championing causes will be coming to an end “sooner rather than later.” During a recent interview on “Entertainment Tonight,” the legendary Hollywood talent spoke openly about her own mortality. Fonda addressed the topic when speaking about the urgency for other high-profile celebrities to stand up for important causes because, as she put it, “I’m not going to be around for much longer.” That statement wasn’t in reference to her

An adviser for Sen.-elect John Fetterman is reminding people that he will not be able to answer questions in the usual way due to health-related conditions. Rebecca Katz, a longtime Fetterman adviser, responded to a HuffPost reporter's tweet, saying that there are "two things we need to get out of the way" as reporters are covering the orientation for new members of Congress. "John Fetterman has a suit and will wear it to the Capitol," Katz tweeted. "He is still recovering from a stroke and has lingering auditory processing challenges. The way Hill reporters are used to yelling questions at

The Associated Press called the Arizona gubernatorial race for Democrat Katie Hobbs at 9:30 pm Monday night. Hobbs, who stared down calls to recuse herself from overseeing her own election as Arizona’s secretary of state, is expected to certify her own election near the end of the month. Hobbs’ opponent, Kari Lake, who had been widely expected to win, may not go quietly into the night. Shortly before the “vote dump” that preceded the call, Lake was on Fox News’s “Jesse Watters Primetime.” (Video) “What’s going to happen when we hear about this vote dump?” asked Watters. “I don’t know… We think we should be in good shape,” she said,

After the midterms, the Republican Party and half of the conservative movement are now furious with Donald Trump. Their writs are many — even though the party establishment shares much of the blame. Even before the midterms, there was a latent feeling among half of Republicans that Trump, given his age, and the animus he incurs among the rich Left and touchy independents, might retire to the role of kingmaker, rather than try a third presidential election. Trump’s eruptions, coupled with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ stunning and singular midterm success, ensured that such prior latent conservative unease is now overt.

As we previously reported, President Joe Biden has been on an overseas tour of sorts over the course of the last several days. As per the norm, there has been one embarrassment after another with perhaps the most notable one being his shameless kowtowing to Chinese “leaders” ahead of the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia at a time when the United States should be projecting strength and competency on a world stage. But in a far more concerning moment, multiple news outlets are reporting that Biden unexpectedly bowed out of the G20 leaders’ dinner Monday night without explanation, calling an “early lid”

America's #1 cable news channel was the outlet that former vice president Mike Pence chose on Tuesday evening to do everything but formally declare that he will be a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024. In an extensive live interview with Bret Baier from New York, where he is promoting his political memoir, So Help Me God, published yesterday (including an hour-long town hall on CNN tonight), Pence used the high-profile platform of Fox News to position himself as a sane, moderate, Christian-inspired alternative to President Trump as well as any other candidates among the growing number who plan to challenge President Biden in two years.

Senate Republicans voted Wednesday to elect Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) as their leader over National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman Rick Scott (R-Fla.) who announced his desire to replace McConnell at an acrimonious conference meeting Tuesday. A large majority of GOP senators voted to elect McConnell leader after a motion backed by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and other conservatives to delay the leadership election until after the Dec. 6 Georgia runoff failed.

Former first daughter Ivanka Trump said late Tuesday that she would play no part in her father’s 2024 presidential campaign, one day after The Post reported the former commander-in-chief had pleaded with her to be on stage with him when he announced his run. “I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics,” Ivanka, 41, said in a statement. “While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena,” she added.

House Republicans nominated Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) to be Speaker in a closed-door conference meeting on Tuesday after he faced a last-minute protest challenge from Rep. Andy Biggs (Ariz.), a former chairman of the conservative House Freedom Caucus. McCarthy won easily, 188 to 31, in the internal conference meeting. But in the eyes of Biggs and his supporters, the goal was merely to demonstrate that McCarthy lacks the support to seize the gavel when the full House meets to choose the Speaker early next year. The 31 votes opposing McCarthy easily met that threshold, raising immediate questions

Far-left network MSNBC did not carry former President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign announcement speech live. Trump spoke at 9 p.m. on November 15 from Mar-a-Lago. Fox News aired most of the speech, but also cut away for analysis from Sean Hannity, Mike Huckabee, Pete Hegseth, Leo Terrell, and others. “CNN also carried Trump’s remarks live but cut away after about 20 minutes to offer analysis from a political panel and fact-checks of the various claims Trump made during his speech on issues ranging from energy to the results of the midterm elections,” The Hill reports.

Sen. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer made a fresh pitch for amnesty Wednesday when he claimed the U.S. is 'short of workers' so Congress needs to pass a 'path to citizenship' for 'however many undocumented there are here'. 'We're short of workers, we have a population that is not reproducing on its own with the same level that it used to,' the New York Democrat reasoned. 'The only way we're going to have a great future is if we welcome and embrace immigrants… get a path to citizenship for all 11 million or however many there are here.'
