Each of those senators represent states that either legislatively or by voter initiative wanted to keep marriage as it has been for thousands of years. The contempt these senators show for the voters that elected them is breathtaking.

Honestly, WGAF? I'm as conservative as they come. But do I seriously give a F if two dudes or two gals want to have a ceremony and then proceed to file joint tax returns? Who gives a F?

#7, Personally I don't "give a F" whether a gay/lesbian couple wants a ceremony or file joint tax returns. I do "give a F" that five unelected judges nullified the wishes of the vast majority of the country. I also "give a F" that weak Republicans go along with stupid Democrats on a bill that doesn't change the status of marriage one iota.

The RINO Hall of Fame - Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and Mitt "Pierre Delecto" Romney - continues to expand. There's about 5 that should be inducted shortly.

All I care about is that this bill isn't within Constitutionally-defined enumerated powers and as such usurps state's authority. This is no different than the Supreme Court's Roe v Wade screw-up decades ago. If two adults want to misuse their genitalia in the confines of their own bedroom that is between them and our Creator.

One can conclude that the Republican majority in the next congress is already set up for failure. These very same republicans will torpedo everything that McConnell asks for.

We should all "care", #7. Homosexuality is wrong, and applying the word "marriage" to it is insulting.
