WASHINGTON — The House committee investigating the Capitol riot won’t give Donald Trump the chance to turn a possible live TV appearance of his subpoenaed testimony into a “circus” and “food fight” as lawmakers try to ensure he complies with their demands, the panel’s vice chair said Sunday.
The committee is demanding Trump’s testimony under oath next month as well as records relevant to its investigation. To avoid a complicated and protracted legal battle, Trump reportedly had told associates he might consider complying with the subpoena if he could answer questions during live testimony.
When asked if the committee would consider taking his testimony live,

President Joe Biden said on this week’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show” that his age was a “legitimate” concern for voters in 2024.
Anchor Jonathan Capehart said, “I cannot be with you and not ask you a question concerning my Aunt Gloria, who you may recall was your biggest fan in 2020, because she said we need an old white duty to take on an old white dude. When I asked her if you should run for election, still, she loves you, but she said she is not sure that you should, given your age. Her one caveat, if Donald Trump runs again, you absolutely have to run again.

A balanced focus group on CBS's "Face the Nation" Sunday morning surely didn't go quite as producers expected when the Democrat and the independent voter both found themselves agreeing with the Republican on key issues, including "woke culture" in schools.
The discussion, moderated by anchor Margaret Brennan, started off pretty tame and predictable, with participants describing the effects of a sputtering economy, inflation, and high gas prices on their own lives. But when the topic turned to raising children in America, even Brennan seemed surprised by the level of agreement.

Former British Finance Minister Rishi Sunak on Sunday announced his run to replace Liz Truss as prime minister on the same day Boris Johnson he said won't seek to regain his former post.
On Thursday Truss announced her resignation just six weeks into her team.
"The United Kingdom is a great country but we face a profound economic crisis," Sunak, 42, posted on Twitter. "That's why I am standing to be Leader of the Conservative Party and your next Prime Minister. I want to fix our economy, unite our Party and deliver for our country."

We reported on Friday about a scary moment during Joe Biden’s interview with Jonathan Capehart where he appears to either be asleep or completely out of it and asked what was going on with him. Because whatever it is, it’s getting worse.(Tweet/Video) It looks like Capehart waved at him and said, “Mr. President, whoop” to get his attention during the questioning. But there’s also a jump cut there, so there may even have been something that was taken out there. Because it’s MSNBC you never know how they might have cut it to make it look better for Biden. But you know that if it was this bad, even with

America has only 25 days of diesel supply thanks to Joe Biden’s economic crippling policies. A diesel fuel crisis will cripple the US.
PJ Media shared the news over the weekend. The fuel that is used to transport US goods across the country is in a crisis situation:
Oil prices and President Joe Biden’s continued draining of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) have dominated the headlines over the past few weeks, but analysts say a more impactful and serious crisis on the energy front looms: a diesel fuel shortage.

President Joe Biden is often cavalier with his words, but in the last 30 days, he has made a large number of gaffes, falsehoods, and goofy statements.
Biden’s off statements include comments about nuclear war, family history, number counting, and falsely stating a woman has been president of the United States.
Recent polling shows just 56 percent of Americans believe Biden is mentally sharp enough to be president, up two points since February.
1.) Biden falsely claims his son died in Iraq.
Biden lied about where his son died. Biden told an audience in Colorado on October 12 his late son Beau “lost his life in Iraq.”

MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart sat down with President Joe Biden in an interview that aired Friday night on the low-rated show “The Reid Out.” Capehart proceeded to lob some questions right out over the plate for the squinty-eyed POTUS, who when he wasn’t looking confused, appeared to nearly doze off at more than one point. (Video) However, he did stay alert enough to answer a number of Capehart’s hackneyed questions, among them the same tired posit and implication that Republicans are the single greatest threat to women everywhere.

Dr. Anthony Fauci and other White House officials must testify under oath in a lawsuit alleging the Biden administration colluded with Facebook and Twitter to suppress free speech regarding coronavirus, a federal court ordered on Friday.
Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry sued the Biden administration in May 2022, arguing that the White House – and especially Fauci as Chief Medical Advisor to the President – were essentially making Facebook and Twitter arms of the Biden administration, suppressing content that criticized lockdowns, mask mandates, vaccine mandates, and related stories.
The case argued that under Norwood v. Harrison and other Supreme Court precedents, government cannot use

The audience at former President Donald Trump's rally in Texas broke out into singing the national anthem Saturday night.
While Trump harped on the Jan. 6 committee's investigation, supporters packed into the venue at Robstown gave him pause as a chorus got louder with a rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.
Trump, wearing one of his red "Make America Great Again" hats, smiled and clapped as the crowd ended with the "Home of the brave" line and began cheering loudly.
After a round of "USA" chants, Trump again spoke into the microphone saying, "Wow that's so beautiful. You know when this whole big group stood up, I said, 'Oh we have protesters.'

Former President Donald Trump holds a “Save America” rally in Robstown, Texas on Saturday, October 22.
Trump is joined on stage by Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, Attorney General Ken Paxton, and Rep. Michael Cloud.
According to Newsweek, Trump’s likely motivation for holding a rally in Robstown is to support two congressional candidates in south Texas — once a Democratic stronghold. Rep. Mayra Flores, who won a special election in June, will be facing Democrat Rep. Vicente Gonzalez in Texas’s Thirty-fourth Congressional District. Meanwhile, in the Fifteenth District — which Gonzalez currently represents —
