Former British Finance Minister Rishi Sunak on Sunday announced his run to replace Liz Truss as prime minister on the same day Boris Johnson he said won't seek to regain his former post. On Thursday Truss announced her resignation just six weeks into her team. "The United Kingdom is a great country but we face a profound economic crisis," Sunak, 42, posted on Twitter. "That's why I am standing to be Leader of the Conservative Party and your next Prime Minister. I want to fix our economy, unite our Party and deliver for our country."

Anti-Democracy Google is manipulating search results to bury Senate Republican candidates’ campaign websites before the 2022 midterm elections. This comes on the heels of a North Carolina State University study that found that Google’s Gmail marked 59.3 percent more emails from “right”-leaning candidates as spam compared to “left”-leaning candidates.
“Google must be investigated for its un-American efforts to sway the election,” said L. Brent Bozell, founder and president of the Media Research Center. “First, researchers caught Google red-handed by proving Republican campaign emails were sent to spam.
Andrew Weissmann has been intimately involved in some of the biggest corruption scandals in US history. Weissmann was involved in FBI activities with the mob in New York in the 1990s. President Biden looked lost in the woods during a tree-planting ceremony on the South Lawn of the White House on Monday when staffers needed to point him in the right direction.
The 79-year-old president and First Lady Jill Biden had just planted a tree in honor of groundskeeper Dale Haney’s 50 years of working at the White House.
The president then walked off into the garden before turning around and asking, “Where are we going?”
President Joe Biden celebrated the birthday of Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday, but mistakenly called her “the president” again.

The president spoke about Harris during a White House reception for the Diwali holiday.

One of the core strengths of the late, great, sorely missed, Rush Limbaugh was his ability and willingness to constantly reground his listeners concerning basic truths. We tend to forget basics in the heat of political battle, usually to the detriment of conservative causes and candidates.
An excellent current example of this has to do with polling. I cannot believe how many conservative pundits, radio/podcast hosts and writers react to polls early in the season with dismay or even panic. “Beto is within three points of Abbot!” “Fetterman up seven over Oz? How can that be?” The answer is: you’re right, it can't be. It isn't true.
