High schools in Cherokee County, North Carolina, have canceled volleyball matches against one school after a transgender athlete (a boy living as a girl) injured another girl at a recent game. The injury occurred last month when a Highlands High volleyball player made a spike and smashed a Hiwassee Dam High player in the forehead, causing severe head injuries. “The Hiwassee Dam player, a biological girl, suffered severe head and neck injuries, resulting in long-term concussion symptoms, including vision problems. The girl has still not yet been cleared to play again by her primary care physician or a neurologist,” reported Education First Alliance. The Cherokee County Board

Since authorities refuse to do anything about this, it's time for the ladies to just say no to playing against a man in their female sports.

Wait until something like that happens in occasional high impact sports like woman’s soccer a few times. Maybe the next step for the leftists is for each college football team to be mandated by the NCAA to have a minimum number of women on each team.

I am a high school, club, and NCAA volleyball referee. There is ZERO reason to allow boys to play vs girls in any sport. The power with which they hit the ball in our sport is way way higher than most of the girls can generate. I hope the girl's parents sue the other school, school district, state governing power for allowing this BS to happen.

It's only a matter of time until a female athlete gets paralyzed or killed by a much stronger male athlete masquerading as a female. There's no such thing as "transgender." People cannot change their sex. It's all in the DNA; it's one or the other. Sane Americans don't have any more patience with these "gender" play-actors. Disgusted.

The schools are catering to these mentally ill people helping them pretend they are something they’re not. Teenagers do not have the sense or life experience to see the evil in this so they get sucked in. This is the result. I would sue their pants off. Maybe if enough of these wokesters have to pay through the nose they will get the message.

I agree the Parents should sue. That said, Its also not fair because IF those girls are Seniors (I didn't see their age), they might have been playing to gain a Scholarship. Now that the Coach has determined they should forfeit the remaining Games, it takes the Girls out of the Running for a Scholarship. A few years back my Cousin received a great volleyball Scholarship for College. They're worth all the work and training the Girls put into the Sport. Figures the Woke people, who are in the Minority, get to spoil it for everyone!

There are large females in ‘non contact’ girls basketball that can do injury to a shorter more slightly built point guard.. put a male that is playing as a self identified female- that point guard could be permanently injured- if not fatally. If , we trust the science, male chromosomes don’t change if said person declares themselves self opposite gender. Men’s and women are built differently- trust the science! Parents need to stand up for their daughter- the dangerous game of trying to blend and obscure gender is a ploy to further divide the country.

Follow the money - at the high school level, it is all about getting scholarships to college. Free college is quite a perk. If a boy can't compete with boys, he declares himself "transgender" and voila! He suddenly ascends to the top tier of girls' sports and the coaches come knocking. They don't care how much damage these "women" do as long as the coach gets a winning (even championship) season. "Lia" Thomas is a perfect example - a mediocre men's swimmer is suddenly an NCAA champion with national women's record times.

I used to pay vollyball in school. I was not a tall player. What I added to the team is that I could dive for a low ball and set it up for another player to move in and hit hard. I was reliable and touch at getting the ball back up. I know I was the shortest girl on the team. I was also the best server on the team.

#18. Boys are used to receiving spikes with that much velocity. That said, they do take shots to the face like that from time to time. One other factor is that high school volleyball typically has fewer higher level players on the team, so their experience isn't always the greatest. It's quite obvious while working a match to know which players play club volleyball, which means they are better skilled players. From the video, I would hazard a guess that the player attacking the ball is also a higher level player.

As of Friday, it will be illegal to buy, sell, or transfer handguns in the country of Canada. According to the announcement by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, “people cannot buy, sell, or transfer handguns within Canada, nor can they bring newly acquired handguns into the country.” “With handgun violence increasing across Canada, it is our duty to take urgent action to remove these deadly weapons from our communities,” Trudeau said in the statement. There are approximately 1.1 million handguns already in Canada, meaning Mr. Trudeau’s desire to “remove these deadly weapons from our communities” means the Mounties are going to be very busy grabbing guns.

On Thursday, the Times directly promoted Malm by publishing his guest essay under the headline "History May Absolve the Soup Throwers." When activists from the same group smashed gas stations in April this year, they hit the nail on the head. Gasoline, unlike a van Gogh painting, is a fuel of global warming.

It isn’t usually hard to understand liberals’ policy positions. They want money and power, and you can generally see how their policies give them more money and more power. But the current “trans” mania is an exception to that principle. Why have liberals gone crazy over an issue–or, perhaps, a fad–that was unknown a few years ago? Over a segment of the population that barely exists? I can’t explain it. Around the country, doctors and hospitals are performing sex-change operations on minors. Vanderbilt was doing this until a video emerged of a staffer saying how lucrative such operations are. But sex change operations on minors continue. To name just one example,

Is President Biden running for reelection? “I have not made that formal decision but it’s my intention . . . to run again and we’ll have time to make that decision,” Biden told MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart in an “exclusive interview” that must have been premised on an agreement not to ask difficult questions. “Dr. Biden is for it?” Capehart asked. In ten days, the Supreme Court will hear arguments in Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) v. Harvard. While the case is nominally about racial discrimination against Asian-Americans in Harvard admissions, similar forms of discrimination have long become pervasive beyond college campuses. Across America, schools, governments, and corporations have deployed racial discrimination to exclude “overrepresented minorities” and make “underrepresented minorities” more “represented” (except, apparently, in professional sports or union leadership). These actions take place in a legal gray zone obfuscated by code words and doublespeak. An unambiguous, comprehensive Supreme Court ruling in favor of SFFA is sorely needed.

Diesel doesn’t get as much of the limelight as oil and gas, but it should because diesel fuel is the industrial lifeblood of the United States, and the price of diesel alone probably has a more significant impact on inflation and the prices you’re paying at the grocery store over any other factor. Without ample amounts of diesel, semi-trucks don’t move, farms are shut down, and critical manufacturing
