The Biden administration is getting increasingly desperate to block Elon Musk’s buyout of Twitter, according to a new report. “Scoop: Biden admin officials are discussing whether US should subject some of @elonmusk’s ventures to national security reviews, including his deal for Twitter Inc., and the Starlink satellite network, sources tell @SalehaMohsin and me. @BloombergTV,” Jennifer Jacobs reported. WASHINGTON — The House committee investigating the Capitol riot won’t give Donald Trump the chance to turn a possible live TV appearance of his subpoenaed testimony into a “circus” and “food fight” as lawmakers try to ensure he complies with their demands, the panel’s vice chair said Sunday.
The committee is demanding Trump’s testimony under oath next month as well as records relevant to its investigation. To avoid a complicated and protracted legal battle, Trump reportedly had told associates he might consider complying with the subpoena if he could answer questions during live testimony.
When asked if the committee would consider taking his testimony live,
President Joe Biden said on this week’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show” that his age was a “legitimate” concern for voters in 2024.
Anchor Jonathan Capehart said, “I cannot be with you and not ask you a question concerning my Aunt Gloria, who you may recall was your biggest fan in 2020, because she said we need an old white duty to take on an old white dude. When I asked her if you should run for election, still, she loves you, but she said she is not sure that you should, given your age.
