Joe Biden on Friday delivered remarks on the ‘deficit reduction’ his economic plan is supposedly achieving.
No serious person believes Joe Biden’s tax-and-spend policies have reduced the deficit.
Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan and Inflation Reduction Act have not only added to the deficit, the spending has caused historic and painful inflation.
“Look at what I’ve inherited and what I’ve done!” Biden said.
Biden inherited 1.4% inflation and now it is well over 8% because Democrat lawmakers and Joe Biden have spent trillion of dollars.

Life comes at you fast. On Thursday, Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett decided not to get involved with Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness scheme, denying a Wisconsin group’s bid to block the order. That had liberals spiking the football, suggesting that it wouldn’t be possible for anyone to gain standing to challenge the president’s move.
Things shifted quickly on Friday, though. The 8th Circuit has now put an administrative stay in place, stopping Biden from moving forward with any cancellation of student debt.

As RedState previously reported, Markle claimed that her time on the game show “Deal or No Deal” was a tragic tale of sexism in society. She claimed that she wasn’t at all valued for her intellect but only for her looks and that there were stations for the girls to improve their appearances like stations for fake eyelashes and bra stuffing.

Joe Biden was in delusional overdrive at the White House on Friday. The White House invited some of the nuttiest liberal Twitter trolls to push out the latest propaganda. Then Biden premiered yet another effort to attack and demonize Republicans.
Biden accused the Republicans of trying to “crash the economy” and threw out that old lie about Republicans wanting to kill Social Security and Medicare. [Video]
What could the Republicans do to “crash the economy” that Biden hasn’t already done? He’s already crashed it.
(Snip) But he didn’t leave it there. He now has a new slogan, moving from attacking “MAGA” to “ultra MAGA,” now it’s “MEGA MAGA.”

A federal appeals court put a temporary, administrative hold on President Joe Biden's student loan forgiveness program, barring the administration from canceling loans covered under the policy, while the court considers a challenge to the policy.
The order came from the 8th US Circuit Court of Appeals, in a case brought by six Republican-led states. A district court dismissed the case earlier this week and the states are now asking the appeals court for a preliminary injunction halting the policy.
The appeals court gave the administration until Monday to respond to that request, and the states will have until Tuesday to reply to that response. The states had asked the appeals court

President Joe Biden was asked several times on Thursday about his limited appearances with Democrat candidates, who apparently don't see Biden as a campaign asset.
One reporter asked Biden if he has any plans to campaign in Nevada or Georgia in the coming weeks:
"Both the congressmen asked me to go out," Biden said. (He apparently was referring to Democrat Senators Raphael Warnock of Georgia and Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada, who find themselves in close races.)
"I don’t know if I’m going to be able to get out in Nevada. And in Georgia, they asked me to come down. We’re trying to work it out now," Biden said.

How should a president respond to running a $1.4 trillion budget deficit — 40% higher than before the pandemic — and adding trillions more to 10-year deficits?
If you are President Biden, you take a victory lap touting your “historic deficit reduction.”
In a remarkable feat of gaslighting, the president held a press conference Friday bragging about directing the “largest one-year [deficit] drop in American history.” But Biden did nothing to reduce the deficit. In fact, his policies have added a deluge of red ink.
Between 2017 and 2019, the budget deficit averaged $810 billion annually.

In ten days, the Supreme Court will hear arguments in Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) v. Harvard. While the case is nominally about racial discrimination against Asian-Americans in Harvard admissions, similar forms of discrimination have long become pervasive beyond college campuses. Across America, schools, governments, and corporations have deployed racial discrimination to exclude “overrepresented minorities” and make “underrepresented minorities” more “represented” (except, apparently, in professional sports or union leadership). These actions take place in a legal gray zone obfuscated by code words and doublespeak. An unambiguous, comprehensive Supreme Court ruling in favor of SFFA is sorely needed.

Former President Donald Trump was subpoenaed Friday for documents and his testimony by the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 assault on the Capitol.
Committee Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson, Democrat of Mississippi, and Vice Chair Rep. Liz Cheney, Republican of Wyoming, issued the subpoena to Trump in a letter eight days after the panel's unanimous vote to do so, at the end of what was likely the committee's final hearing.
The committee demands that the former president submit documentary material by Nov. 4, which would be followed by "one or more days" of his deposition under oath "on or about" Nov. 14, according to the panel's letter.

Diesel doesn’t get as much of the limelight as oil and gas, but it should because diesel fuel is the industrial lifeblood of the United States, and the price of diesel alone probably has a more significant impact on inflation and the prices you’re paying at the grocery store over any other factor. Without ample amounts of diesel, semi-trucks don’t move, farms are shut down, and critical manufacturing

In the dog days of summer, as President Joe Biden’s average approval rating plummeted to historic lows amid an intense flurry of national setbacks, policy blunders and rhetorical “gaffes” (otherwise known as palpable senility), most in the punditry class began to predict an imminent “red wave” of Republican electoral dominance in November’s midterm elections. The midterms that take place two years after a new presidency typically favor the opposition party, after all, and certain data — such as the four-decade-high inflation rate that was, and still is, raging like wildfire — pointed in the direction of a strong ballot-box backlash to one-party Democratic rule.

Tucker Carlson provided an accurate assessment of the overt anti-white racism in America that goes not only unchecked, but often praised. His comparison to Rwanda’s eventual genocide doesn’t feel that far off when one considers the daily reminders by many prominent media personalities and politicians of the “whiteness” that pervades this country.
So it comes as no surprise that sheltered, entitled, and ignorant professional athletes would share these same anti-white views. For supposedly being oppressed, there is no shortage of self-esteem among leftist blacks. If they truly feared for their lives, it goes without saying that they’d hesitate to make such remarks.

Fortunately, in the face of vigorous opposition expressed in amicus briefs filed by literally dozens of conservative organizations supporting the Eagle Forum’s motion to quash (i.e. throw out) the subpoena, Justice Department lawyers caved and narrowed their request, as the judge in the case put it, to “1%” of what they were demanding before.
It gets better. At a hearing on Oct. 14 on the motion, according to a transcript we have obtained, federal Judge Liles C. Burke castigated the Justice Department for its “vastly overbroad and unduly burdensome” subpoena

I’ll have to admit, at this point I’m pretty steeped in the lies of Joe Biden. Admittedly, it’s hard to keep up with them, since there are so many of them–and the list is constantly growing. He’s been at it for a long time. Most infamously in the 1988 presidential race — the first time he ran for the office — he told all kinds of lies about his background and educational accomplishment. He also got nailed for plagiarism. But that was when we still held people to account for trying to deceive us, and he dropped out of the race after the scandal.
Here’s some of his plagiarism back then.

The pre-pandemic world of 2019 may be gone, but there is no clear indication what will replace it. Russia is no longer a first-rate power. China’s economy has stalled. The US and Western Europe are facing an economic slowdown that may deepen into a recession in the coming months. The great powers are increasingly at odds, not only in Eastern Europe but also in the Western Pacific across the Taiwan Straits. The old ‘rule based, global world order’ is seemingly falling apart. George Friedman optimistically calls it The Storm Before the Calm, and sees a renewed and dominant United States emerging from a period of global upheaval.

One of the reasons I rarely post on Twitter is that it’s very easy for typos to become memes. Remember Trump’s Covfefe tweet? What did it mean or was it a just a slip of the mouse? Thus, we don’t really know whether Kanye West really meant death con3 to Jews or did he mean defcon3 which is a military term for increase in force readiness above that required for normal readiness. These misreads especially occur when someone is speaking rather than typing into a computer. In my old age, I need subtitles for everything I watch and the subsequent incorrect translation of speech can be quite amusing.

President Biden said during a visit to Pennsylvania on Thursday that voters should back Democratic Senate candidate John Fetterman over his Republican opposition, Dr. Mehmet Oz, because the "rest of the world is looking."

Pointing to recent comments from House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Biden argued a Republican majority would prevent him from sending billions of dollars to Ukraine amid its fight with Russia.

The state of California simply refuses to leave the rest of us alone.
Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court heard more than two hours of oral arguments (more than in the case overturning Roe v. Wade) concerning pigs and how much space should be allotted for a sow to give birth and wean her piglets.
In 2018, California voters approved a proposition that banned the sale of any pork not produced at a farm that provided at least 24 square feet of space per sow. While there is always an argument to be made against animal cruelty, the problem here is a matter of practicality. Only four percent of pig farms

A former Keystone XL Pipeline welder recently blasted Democrat President Joe Biden’s intent to cut gas and energy prices before the midterm elections.
“I don’t know how he gets away with keep saying that he doesn’t have anything to do with [high gas prices] when they’ve got everything to do with it,” Neal Crabtree said during an interview this week with Fox Business.
Crabtree previously worked on the Keystone XL project and was among hundreds of others laid off after the president took office.
Biden canceled the federal permit for the pipeline that would have brought vast amounts of oil on a daily basis from Canada down to the state of Texas.

According to the findings of German research, one in every 700 children under the age of five who received the Pfizer mRNA Covid vaccine was hospitalized with severe adverse events (SAE), and one in every 200 children had ‘symptoms that were currently ongoing and thus of unknown significance.’
The study, “Comparative Safety of the BNT162b2 Messenger RNA COVID-19 Vaccine vs Other Approved Vaccines in Children Younger Than 5 Years,” was published in JAMA on Tuesday, two days before the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices voted to recommend COVID-19 to be included in the 2023 childhood immunization schedule.
Participants in this retrospective cohort study were German parents or caregivers

We’ve seen a lot of climate change protesters in this country. They’re usually incredibly annoying, doing things like blocking traffic by linking themselves together on the highway or gluing their hands to something.
Last week as we reported, we saw these two people throw soup at Van Gogh’s Sunflowers and glue themselves to the wall. [Videos]
The young woman with pink hair is bordering on hysterical as she tries to convince people of the importance of their actions.
The usual reaction to people like this has been to cut them loose or free them from the glue and arrest them.

As President Joe Biden criss-crosses the country in the final weeks before the midterm elections, a common thread has emerged in his private remarks before well-heeled Democrats: fundraisers are for the real ones.(Photo) Speaking in lavish private homes, yacht clubs and Zoom calls to the bundlers and donors Democrats hope could help them hang on to their majorities in Congress, Biden’s remarks are nearly always longer and funnier, more blunt and more unwieldy than the speeches he’s delivered to the broader public while in office—a trend that one attendee of a recent event called “Free Joe Time.”

Everything President Joe Biden touches turns to dust. He was handed a country with a recovering economy, cities where crime was under control, a secure border, and a time when people can afford to live. All he had to do was nothing. But he didn’t, and now the U.S. is at one of its worst times in history.
Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) has had enough of the Democratic Party making excuses and covering up Biden’s many bluffs and mistakes. [snip]
“The American people have learned over the past 20 months that if you want something screwed up, President Biden is your man,” Kennedy said,

While we should never count our chickens until they are fully out of their shells, there is almost unanimous agreement among the major polling groups that the GOP should be able to retake the majority in the House next month. (Insert the standard caveat about how bad the polling has been of late here.) If that happens, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy still appears to be the odds-on favorite to be the next Speaker, though that assumption also comes with a few caveats. Some of the GOP members in the lower chamber have clearly been feeling their oats and have been starting to suggest that Joe Biden might be impeached

Matt Lamb of the College Fix recently visited Gibson’s Bakery with his family. Legal Insurrection readers are very familiar with the back story here:(Snip)It also looks like a small-town bakery, with local newspapers for sale at the front, a single register and coffee and donuts to the left. Well, there’s no fancy coffee machines like at a Starbucks, just pots and brandless styrofoam and paper cups--the less branding, the better the coffee it seems. It’s the sort of place I’d go to if it was down the street, not five hours away from my home.

Former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean claimed Thursday on MSNBC’s “The Beat” that the Democrats will increase their majorities in both the U.S Senate and House in November’s midterm election.
Dean said, “I’ll make this prediction right now we’ll pick up two to three in the Senate and pick up House. We will pick up seats in the House and not lose them. I think we will take two more than we have today n the House. It’s just because when you see these early turnout figures, and you better be one of them if you’re watching this, that is a very good thing for people who are angry,
