Kanye’s Anti-Semitism Remarks Warrant Debate

Original Article

Posted By: Magnante, 10/21/2022 7:06:18 AM

One of the reasons I rarely post on Twitter is that it’s very easy for typos to become memes. Remember Trump’s Covfefe tweet? What did it mean or was it a just a slip of the mouse? Thus, we don’t really know whether Kanye West really meant death con3 to Jews or did he mean defcon3 which is a military term for increase in force readiness above that required for normal readiness. These misreads especially occur when someone is speaking rather than typing into a computer. In my old age, I need subtitles for everything I watch and the subsequent incorrect translation of speech can be quite amusing.

I have to admit that anti-Semitic remarks from a billionaire black man or whomever really doesn't upset me that much. Granted I am not Jewish but what really upsets me is the behavior (comments and votes) by Dem members of Congress towards the country of Israel. Actual legislative actions that damage Israel are much more important than some celebrity spouting the usual garage. Actions speak louder than words.

The world is full of smart, talented, ignorant people. The only reason this is a story is because he expressed his admiration for President Trump. I don't think he understands Trump or populism or any of these concepts, he just admires Trump's success. Trump's enemies think somehow this reflects badly on Trump. This just demonstrates how widespread ignorance is in the world.

Kayne was exactly right when he said you can find out who really has the power when you find out who you can't criticize.

Say whatever you will...I was very impressed with Kanye's words that....black or white...never let anyone take it away from you...whether your freedom or your dignity...I'm happy he is happy with his life and admires President Trump...funny...how successful self/made people have no problem with President Trump...it's usually people who are envious of his success...like crooked Hillary...who stole all her funds from taxpayers and of course obama...who is angry he's not white....and behind the biden ear piece he destroys America...or...tries to.....

Ouch #4. You hit the nail on the head. Severally. I have never really understood anti-Semitism. What are they against? Sure, there is the stereotype of the New York Jew, greedy, lying, vulgar... I've never met such and count among my friends the most suave, intelligent, and sophisticated people on the planet! We WASPS have our own relicts.

Not that it matters...when did Ye utter these alleged "Anti-Semitism Remarks"? Was it last week, last year, 5 years ago 10 years ago? People say stupid things never thinking their words would have made the news on October 21, 2022. Happens all the time. People change, grow. Never dreaming it would be used for fodder against him/her. A political slam designed to shame him and shame him for liking President Trump.

Lucianne would have laughed uproariously at what is happening in San Francisco and at what Elon Musk is doing with Twitter. (snip) the Lucianne I knew for the past 27 years was probably the most discreet person in public life. She knew just about everybody in politics and the media. She knew lots of the nitty gritty embarrassing details in the lives of the rich and famous but she never publicized them. She had a bawdy sense of humor and might have been outspoken in private discussions (snip), but she was not a malicious gossip. Only the Clintons brought out her knives.

Even as they claim to oppose censorship, a group of almost 500 people from the literary world (snip) have signed onto a call for Penguin Random House to drop a forthcoming book by Justice Amy Coney Barrett. As such, we are calling on Penguin Random House to recognize its own history and corporate responsibility commitments by reevaluating its decision to move forward with publishing Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s forthcoming book" Do none of these people (snip) see the contradiction here?
Fetterman flubs his sole debate in Pennsylvania’s

John Fetterman obviously hoped that by lowering expectations for last night’s debate with Dr. Oz and by having a closed captioning system with 2 70-inch monitors, he could convince Pennsylvania voters that he was healthy enough to discharge the duties of US Senator. But he equally obviously failed. He opened his remarks with an inappropriate greeting: “Hi. Good night, everybody.” (snip) Fetterman’s performance was bad enough that even the partisan media were forced to acknowledge his poor presentation. (snip) Time Magazine writer Charlotte Alter, who prior to the debate did her utmost to lower expectations for Fetterman, admitted that “he was much much worse than I expected.”

The 2022 midterm elections are two weeks away. (snip) Republicans should not break out the champagne quite yet as the GOP, also known as the “stupid party,” is fully capable of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. (snip) One example is in my state of Colorado where the Republican Senate candidate Joe O’Dea made these remarks on CNN: “I don’t think Donald Trump should run again,” O’Dea said in an interview Sunday on CNN’s "State of the Union." (snip) Instead, GOP candidates need to ask one simple question that has nothing directly to do with Donald Trump. “Are you better off today than you were four years ago?”

She is telling me to "forgive and forget" everyone who was yelling obscenities at me for not wearing a mask in a public park or calling me a mass murderer for posting a picture with a friend visiting. I must forget all this, the author insists, because all those people had nothing but my well-being in mind! The author admits that many (if not most!) measures imposed on us by "the experts" were harmful and destructive.
