This week it was revealed that the US National Guard wrongly administered the Covid vaccine to a group of service members who were expecting to receive an influenza vaccine, according to The Epoch Times. The incident occurred during a mobile vaccination clinic for the Maine National Guard and at least one member who refused the mRNA vaccine on religious grounds received the experimental injection without his knowledge.
That service member, Mathew Bouchard, is no longer a member of the National Guard. After the incident, he felt that the trust was completely broken. He was ordered to take a flu shot and feels like he was duped.

The woman who claimed Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker paid for her abortion in 2009 was friendly with Walker’s wife and supported his campaign as recently as May, text messages reveal.
Breitbart News obtained screenshots of messages from May between Walker’s accuser and the candidate’s wife, Julie.
The messages, first reported by NBC on Friday, suggest the woman, who would later go to the left-wing Daily Beast with claims against Herschel, had entirely different sentiments about his Senate bid when his campaign kicked off after the May Republican primary.
On May 24, the day Herschel, a Georgia football legend, was expected to handily win the primary, the woman texted Julie, “Good luck tonight!!!

Former Nevada Attorney General Laxalt questioned the leadership of vulnerable incumbent Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) and her “almost 100 percent” President Joe Biden-aligned voting record.

Sen. Mitch McConnell has no excuse. The ads his political group is producing to attack Alaska Republican Senate candidate Kelly Tshibaka are beyond the pale.
Campaign attacks intensify in October because as the election runway gets shorter, it takes a sharp message to catch voters’ attention and seal the deal. But the money being spent by McConnell and his Senate Leadership Fund to attack a fellow Republican — one who may win and join the Senate to be his colleague — should shock the sensibilities of all conservatives.
And it is shocking Alaskans, indeed. McConnell’s determination to destroy another Republican’s reputation is driving Alaskans away from the Republican Party

We’ve been covering a lot of data points that are moving in the direction of the Republicans just about a month before the midterm election. We see a Republican likely to win a House seat in Rhode Island — a deep-blue state — that hasn’t had a Republican in the position in 30 years. We also see Democrats saying they are up against it when it comes to money. They have to cover so many races where the Republicans are either winning or gaining. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) has confessed they’re going to have to abandon some races monetarily which could cost them the House.

It’s astonishing how little the progressive wing of the Democratic Party realizes how much their sanctimony turns off the folks who don’t live in big cities where its hold on power is virtually unchallengeable. Take the recent tweak some liberal party funders got from Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis, who managed to divert a planeload of illegal immigrants destined for temporary resettlement in his state to Martha’s Vineyard, a pretentious enclave rich and super-rich progressives including former President Barack

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) traveled to Naples to perform the opening coin toss at a local high school football game on Friday, just days after Hurricane Ian ravaged the area.
Naples High School faced off against Barron Collier High School at their home stadium on Friday evening. As Gov. Ron DeSantis walked towards the center of the field to perform the coin toss, the crowd erupted with loud applause and cheer. The game’s announcer noted that schools in Florida’s Collier County reopened on Thursday, eight days after Hurricane Ian made landfall causing record flooding, power outages, and catastrophic damage to southwest Florida. In the hours after the Capitol riot nearly two years ago, 147 US lawmakers voted to overturn the 2020 election — effectively buttressing the false case of Donald Trump and his supporters who had resorted to violence.
The outcry from corporate America came quickly, with hundreds of companies vowing to stop donations to lawmakers who would eventually be known by opponents as the "sedition caucus."
While the backsliding began within months, two reports out in recent days show how most of those companies reversed course and resumed those donations. The reports come just weeks before midterm elections that will determine which party controls the House of Representatives and the Senate.

During an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Sen. The Kentucky Republican lawmaker questioned the “onslaught of propaganda” on behalf of the vaccine with little information on how many times one must receive the vaccine. “Well, perhaps the Hollywood producers might want to ask Dr. Fauci,” he said. “I understand that your portfolio went from $7 million at the beginning of the pandemic to $12 million. It hasn’t been a good week for Joe Biden. The same day that Joe Biden was caught on a hot mic claiming “nobody f—s with a Biden,” OPEC+ announced that it would be cutting oil production in the weeks leading up to the 2022 midterm elections, despite his repeated pleas for them to boost production. It was the latest in a long line of humiliations for Joe Biden — and, of course, entirely his own doing. He’s the one who put the brakes on domestic oil production and drilling, outsourcing our energy to foreign nations — including our enemies.

Hunter Biden begged his sister-in-law-turned-lover Hallie Biden for cash to check himself into rehab just six weeks before purchasing a handgun — and attesting on federal forms that he had never used or been addicted to drugs.
A shocking, 4-minute, 30-second recording was discovered by The Post on a copy of the infamous hard drive Hunter Biden abandoned at a Delaware computer repair shop, and emerges the same week federal agents said they believe they have enough evidence to charge him for making false statements in order to buy the .38-caliber pistol.

Biden’s handlers’ most open attempt to undermine and destroy the freedom of speech, the Disinformation Governance Board, is dead, at least for now, but that doesn’t mean that the people who run this administration have suddenly discovered the importance of the freedom of speech.
As PJM’s Stacey Lennox reported Tuesday, “in a letter dated Oct. 3, the American Medical Association (AMA), The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the Children’s Hospital Association (CHA) asked [Gestapo chief Merrick] Garland to ‘investigate the organizations, individuals, and entities coordinating, provoking, and carrying out bomb threats and threats of personal violence against children’s hospitals and physicians across the U.S.’”

The rail and road bridge from mainland Russia to the Crimean peninsula, annexed by Moscow in 2014, has been pictured in flames the morning after President Vladimir Putin’s 70th birthday.
The Crimean Bridge, also known as the Kerch or Kerch Strait Bridge, which stretches over more than eleven miles and cost hundreds of billion of rubles, has long been considered a signature piece of infrastructure, as the only physical link between Crime and the Russia Federation prior to the general invasion of Ukraine in February of this year.
It has also long been considered a prime target for the Ukrainians,

First Lady Jill Biden offered a rare personal glimpse into her views on abortion during a political fundraiser in San Francisco on Friday, retelling the story of how her mother helped care for a teenage friend who got an abortion 60 years ago. Biden, who was 17 at the time, said her friend didn’t want to be pregnant, but learned that a doctor would only perform an abortion if she underwent a psychiatric evaluation and was declared mentally unfit. It was the late 1960s, before the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision, and abortion was illegal in Pennsylvania, where she

As prosecutors weigh charges against Hunter Biden, don’t forget the many reasons to think the Joe Biden Justice Department shouldn’t be making these calls.
The most recent evidence is the fact that sources close to the investigation felt the need to leak news that the feds have enough to bring tax- and gun-related charges. No way that happens unless people within Justice are seriously worried about even those puny charges getting squelched.
They have reason to worry: Former Hunter associate Tony Bobulinski years ago corroborated to the FBI that indeed, the laptop emails said exactly what they seemed to. I.e. that millions of dollars flowed

Undeterred by repeated losses, the Biden administration’s war on red states and our "Neanderthal thinking" rages on. This month, my colleagues and I are fighting Biden and his comrades at the United States Department of Agriculture in court to protect the right of states to run their public schools as they see fit. This time, the fight isn’t over curriculum or masking — it’s whether states still possess the paltry authority to require boys to use the boys’ bathroom at school.

Do you like to think that you vote for the man, not the party? Then I should inform you that in the Senate race, if you vote for the Democrat, you are voting for Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), regardless.
There is a nice little ProPublica website that compares the voting records of senators. I used the 2021-22 session to make some comparisons. (I pulled the data on Oct. 6. There may be more votes in this session after that date.)
This first figure shows how many senators voted with Schumer, Democrat majority leader, by the percent of agreement.

Gas prices are more than $3.00 lower in Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) Florida than in Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) California.
Newsom has for months made a noticeable effort to criticize Florida and DeSantis’s handling of the state, going so far as using the Fourth of July weekend to urge Floridians to flock to the Golden State.
“I urge all of you living in Florida to join the fight or join us in California, where we still believe in freedom: Freedom of speech, freedom to choose, freedom from hate, and the freedom to love,” he pleaded at the time, following up weeks later by mocking “freedom-loving” governors.

Arizona held its first (and only) senatorial debate of the election season on Thursday between Republican Blake Masters, Democrat Mark Kelly, and some libertarian dude that we’ll get to momentarily. RedState offered some initial live coverage on Thursday, and now the clips are making the rounds.
Unfortunately for Kelly, he probably should have agreed to a few more debates, because if this is the performance he’s going to leave hanging out there for voters, it’s a bad one. I know it’s cliche to suggest that one side decimated the other side, but Masters delivered a series of money lines that will now be going viral over the next few days,

The Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy survey showed Crist trailing DeSantis by an 11-point percentage, so Brad Coker attempted to explain why the Democratic challenger is losing.
The survey was conducted Sept. 28, as Hurricane Ian was putting the Sunshine State in the national news cycle.

There’s even the remarkable story of a Republican ahead by six points and likely to win a House seat in deep-blue territory in Rhode Island for the first time in 30 years. But right as we have that good news for the Republicans, there’s more bad news for the Democrats.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) Executive Director Tim Persico is saying that he doesn’t know if they’re going to have enough money. He said there “are places that I don’t know if we are going to be able to get to” to assist Democrats. “We are just getting outspent everywhere

We’ve reported on the raids of pro-life activists by armed FBI showing up at their homes for extremely minor things.
First, there was author Mark Houck who was arrested by more than 20 armed agents in front of his screaming children at 7:00 a.m. in the morning. His alleged “federal offense”? He pushed a man who his wife said made offensive remarks to his son. He now faces 11 years in prison under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. But then the Biden FBI went after 11 pro-life activists who hadn’t even done that. We reported on the arrest of Chet Gallagher. All they did was non-violently peacefully protest outside an abortion clinic.

The allegations came in a shocking new investigation from Axios that was published on Thursday.
The report alleges that in the past 12 months, multiple new 'news' website have appeared across the country, all run by a company named Local Report Inc.
They do report a wide variety of stories - but sprinkled throughout are news items pushing Democrat lawmakers and policies.

Just last week, Putin said in Red Square in front of a large crowd, “”Victory will be ours!” It’s worth seeing him say it to get a sense of his resolution on this point. Just skip to the end of this clip. How does a guy who is losing territory by the day have that much confidence? Like most authoritarian leaders, Putin lives in a bubble surrounded by people who are mostly afraid to burst that bubble.

I’ve got a VIP post that you should read this afternoon that focuses on Elon Musk’s attempts to avoid Armageddon. If you don’t subscribe, please do. It will help HotAir keep publishing until Joe Biden gets us all blown up.
In this post I will argue the obvious, though: every single one of us should be focused on avoiding Armageddon, because I am afraid that we are waltzing our way to the end of civilization.
Let’s set the stage: Joe Biden casually dropped a bomb at a fundraiser. Not a nuclear bomb…yet…but quite a bombshell:
The world is facing a nuclear Armageddon. We are at the deadliest point in human history since
