Republicans Make Their Case to Middle America

Monongahela, Pennsylvania -- Whether by design or necessity, the decision by House Republican leaders to kick off their Commitment to America in this river town on the edge of Allegheny County was quite apt. There is no easy way to get here from Pittsburgh, or from the airport, or from our nation's capital. House Minority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana laughed, saying the very point of the Commitment to America is to reach the people and places Congress neglects to the point that it needs a GPS to find them and a dictionary to spell them.

Every Republican campaign ad should end with this question… Are you better off than you were two years ago?

It will take a lot of rural and small town Pennsylvanians to overcome the corruption in Philadelphia. Republicans seem to be starting a bit late. Make that a LOT late.

As I have posted here, Republicans, the RNC, etc should be saturating the airwaves, social media, etc. with ads telling people how much better, cleaner, safer, etc the USA is at producing its own energy, etc. than China, India, Iran, etc. and all without abusing the workers who produce the energy and other goods. And stop with the "all of the above approach" to energy. It should be only our domestic oil, natural gas and nuclear.

Had enough change yet? Is this country built back better? Is enough enough already? I haven't had enough coffee to deal with this yet. Do we have enough illegals yet? Have we murdered enough babies in the womb yet? Have we spent enough money on war yet? Is this the land of Independence of God yet? Have you had enough apathy yet? Have you sat home on election day enough yet? Sick and tired of being sick and tired of historic inflation yet? Paid high gas prices enough yet? If you haven't had enough yet, by all means, this election vote for every Democrat and RINO on the ballot and keep getting what you are getting until you can admit to your innermost self, that you have finally HAD ENOUGH!!! FJB. Let's Go Brandon and Duck Femocrats!!!

Living on the American side of the Mexican border can be chaotic and dangerous, as unauthorized migrant refugees — some 700,000 during this fiscal year alone — will go to incredible, even fatal lengths in attempting to cross into the US. For the men and women who work as border patrol agents, the out-of-control situation often creates debilitating stress. Now, three wives of border patrol agents are trying to do something about it by running for Congress in Texas’ Nov. 8 election. All are Republicans. Here are their stories and their motivations for stepping up:

The US Supreme Court vacated a Massachusetts gun control law in one of the first orders of its new term following the justices’ June ruling striking down a New York statute that required people to show “proper cause” if they want to carry a concealed firearm in public. The Massachusetts case — Morin v. Lyver — concerned the plaintiff being denied a new firearm license because he had two out-of-state misdemeanor convictions for weapons possession. Massachusetts law places severe restrictions on the possession and purchase of firearms, including the ability to obtain a license to possess handguns, if convicted of nonviolent misdemeanors.

An 18-year-old Texas man visiting his girlfriend in labor went on a rampage at a hospital, where he assaulted several staff members and two babies who turned blue when he choked them, police said. The unhinged attack began after Marcus Dewayne McCowan Jr. went to the Odessa Regional Medical Center on Monday evening to visit his girlfriend, who was in labor, news station KMID reported. At one point, the teen began acting oddly and went to the nurses’ station, where he grabbed the arm of a nurse and made “an unintelligible statement” before being asked to leave, the outlet said.

Radical animal rights protester Alex Taylor has filed a police report claiming assault after L.A. Rams player Bobby Wagner tackled him during the protester’s run across the field on Monday evening. Taylor and his partner Allison Fluty, both representing the radical animal rights group Direct Action Everywhere, appeared at Monday’s Rams-49ers game to protest by jumping out on the field with pink smoke bombs. Fluty was quickly stopped by security while Taylor made it to the field. But as he ran across the field evading security, Rams linebacker Bobby Wagner stepped in and flattened the protester with a sharp body block sending Taylor sprawling down to the ground.

A New Jersey woman was arrested this week after federal agents and New York City police officers found fentanyl packaged like candy and stored in LEGO boxes in her car. The woman, Letitia Bush, was arrested on Sept. 28 when agents and police officers stopped her vehicle in the Lincoln Tunnel. The vehicle allegedly contained 15,000 “multicolored” pills and had an estimated street value of $300,000, according to WPVI. Reportedly, Bush was in the backseat of the vehicle when police and agents showed up. She had two black tote bags and a yellow LEGO container. Inside the LEGO container were “brick shaped” packages

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and his political activist wife, Ginni, are a high-profile Washington conservative power couple. Power couples are a common Washington phenomenon. Each spouse wields political power and influence in a certain arena. Together they concentrate power and influence. Per Public Citizen, of the 115th Congress, 59% of retiring congressmen remained in Washington, taking jobs as lobbyists or in consulting firms, trade groups or business groups, working to influence government. So, we have power couples that are in office, that were in office -- congressmen and ex-congressmen, federal regulators and former regulators, lawyers, etc. But there is something very different about the Thomases. Washington power couples are about money, power and influence.

Divorces can be painful, particularly when custody issues are involved. But one father in New York is in the midst of a nightmare for any parent of conscience. Until the age of 8, the man’s daughter was a normal child. The girl told her father that she was no longer interested in pageants or feminine things, just as many girls do growing up. The father shrugged it off since he understood that many girls go through a “tomboy” phase. And had the child been left to develop on her own, that may well have been the case. But in 21st Century America, children are no longer allowed to do that.

It’s hard to believe it, but one year has passed since Americans nationwide began using the ironic catchphrase “Let’s Go Brandon!” to mock Joe Biden. It all started with an interview when NBC reporter Kelli Stavast claimed during an interview with NASCAR driver Brandon Brown that chants of “F— Joe Biden!” at the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Talladega were actually “Let’s go, Brandon!” The phrase was quickly adopted by conservatives as a family-friendly alternative for expressing anger and defiance at Joe Biden and his policies, as well as a dig at media bias. Before long, “Let’s Go Brandon!” went from a viral social media meme

Florida’s month-long gas tax holiday went into effect over the weekend, as some residents are noticing gas prices falling below $3.00 per gallon in some areas. Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) signed the Florida legislature’s $1.2 billion tax relief package in May, designed to help Floridians weather the storm of inflation in President Biden’s America. The package included tax holidays and exemption periods for a variety of categories, including baby items, appliances, disaster preparedness, and gasoline, the last of which went into effect this month. It was expected to reduce the price of gas by roughly 25 cents, if properly passed on to the consumer. “We’re doing $200 million in gas tax holiday,

You could see this one coming a mile away, and many of us did. When the Supreme Court declared that there is no rational reason to deny the right of two people of the same sex to marry–love is love!–it eliminated the teleological foundation of marriage and the family. If marriage is no longer grounded in the biology of reproduction–it takes two, a man and a woman, to make a child–then the number two is likewise irrational. If George and Ken can be in love, and therefore entitled to marry, then why can’t George, Ken and Susan? The inevitable has happened, as a court in New York

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on Thursday signed off on a plan to strip any mention of the Confederacy from U.S. military bases, including renaming the Army’s legendary Fort Bragg and Fort Hood, signing off on a process that critics said was a prime example of “woke” attitudes in President Biden’s Pentagon. Mr. Austin, whose endorsement of the plan was widely expected, said the changes would be implemented “as soon as possible.” The report that recommends the stripping of all references to Confederate figures arrived at Mr. Austin’s desk 18 months after Congress mandated a Naming Commission to review the issue.

Federal investigators believe they have gathered enough evidence to charge President Joe Biden’s son Hunter “with tax crimes and a false statement related to a gun purchase,” according to a bombshell new report from the Washington Post. Federal investigators associated with the FBI and IRS determined months ago that they had sufficient evidence to indict the younger Biden but it is now up to the U.S. attorney in Delaware, who was appointed by former president Trump, to determine whether to charge him. Chris Clark, a lawyer for Hunter Biden, responded to an inquiry from the Post with a written statement accusing investigators of misconduct.
