Are Democrats patriots?

Original Article

Jonathan Capehart, a Washington Post columnist and MSNBC host, is arguing that Democrats need to retake the high ground on patriotism. It really bugs him that people associate patriotism with Republicans, while it is the Democrats who are the real patriots. Yeah right. I have no idea why anybody would think that Democrat leaders and commentators aren’t patriotic. Maybe because of statements like this: Capehart’s argument is not uncommon, of course. Democrats have been frustrated by the fact that Republicans have been more successful with patriotic messaging than they since at least the 60’s. They endorse burning our flag. They despise our founding fathers. They detest most of our Constitution. They teach that our entire country is worthless because slavery is our original sin that can never be assuaged, even though half a million died to end it. They worship abortion, lawlessness, and depravity. No, they most definitely are not patriots, they are the enemy within, and must be crushed if America is to survive.

Democrat philosophy has no place for nationalism because it is based on post-modern communitarianism. This philosophy is fundamentally based on resentment of white, cis male, Judeo-Christian practicing, liberal Republicanism. They see all traditional common law as oppression of multicultural pluralism and patriarchal. They also revere the idealized notion of "the noble savage" who lived peacefully in a state of nature until capitalism came along and ruined everything. For them there is no natural law or deterministic human nature. Like Marxists, they believe all human traits including sexual identity are just social constructs that can be changed at will to produce a utopian community of equals. Everything they do or say to traditional conservatives is a cynical, dismissive, contemptuous act fueled by resentment and envy to make happy, peaceful people as miserable and fearful as they are. Post-modernism is a mental disease that afflicts people who have lost all purpose and meaning in their lives except hatred of people who aren't as crazy as they are.

Trump goes to Supreme Court over Mar-a-Lago

Former President Donald Trump has asked the Supreme Court to intervene in the dispute over materials marked as classified the FBI seized from his Mar-a-Lago estate this summer. His emergency request with the Supreme Court is the latest example of the former President seeking to involve the justices in investigations that entangle him – at a time when the high court’s legitimacy in politically explosive cases is under intense scrutiny. Trump is specifically asking the court to ensure that the more than 100 documents marked as classified are part of the special master’s review. The request, if granted, could bolster the former President’s attempt to challenge the search in court

Sources told Bloomberg News Musk has offered to buy Twitter, just weeks before he was set to appear in court to fight a lawsuit the company filed over his efforts to pull out of the $44 billion deal. Twitter’s stock price briefly shot up as high as 18 percent on the news before trading was suspended. Musk first began trying to pull the plug on the deal in July.

On Monday evening's edition of CNN Tonight, Republican political strategist and CNN commentator Scott Jennings did some well-deserved mocking of the leftist media's cries of illegitimacy when it comes to the institution of the Supreme Court. He chalked their constant kvetching to the fact that they're "just mad that they're not getting their way every time." Since the media is dominated by leftists, that's not surprising. For all their talk of democracy, the democratic institutions in the United States are only legitimate when they work at the left's behest.

As we previously reported, according to even recent Democrat-friendly polls, there has been a marked shift back in the GOP’s direction on generic Congressional balloting and polling on party control preference, with Republicans surging ahead. In addition to that, on top of the woes Democrats have seen with Hispanic voters steadily abandoning the party over concerns about their obsession with wokeness comes news that Democrats are increasingly falling out of favor with black voters as well, and by just enough margins

The Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear a legal challenge to the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate for health-care workers at facilities that receive federal funds. The justices rejected an appeal submitted by the plaintiffs, including ten mostly Republican-controlled states, after a lower court declined to hear their petition. The vast majority of health-care workers nationwide, 10.4 million, are subject to the mandate, although there are medical and religious exemptions. In January, the court struck down President Biden’s vaccine requirement for private sector companies with 100 or more employees but it preserved the health-care-worker mandate pending litigation at the lower court level.

To this point, the US Senate race in Pennsylvania has taken top billing in election-related discussions. Republican Mehmet Oz had closed the gap with Democrat John Fetterman to make it a true toss-up as the latter’s health issues have started to weigh on the electorate. But there’s another race going on that is not only just as big but appears to be favoring the GOP in a way that could ultimately deliver control of the Senate. I’m talking about Nevada, where Republican Adam Laxalt is facing off against Democrat incumbent Sen. Catherine Cortez-Mastro. Sunday delivered another round of fresh polling, and Republicans are winning across the board.

The letter is a brutal takedown, outlining how bad what Strzok did was and how much it hurt the reputation of the FBI, according to Bowdich.
