A 14-year-old gang member with 18 busts already under his belt is suspected in three shootings that occurred just days apart in The Bronx, police said Friday. The kid made off on a scooter each time with an accomplice, police said—till he was finally busted for two of the crimes Wednesday. The young suspect—whose arrests date back to age 10 or 11—allegedly opened fire into a Dunkin’ Donuts from the back of a scooter Sept. 19 just after 2:30 p.m., said NYPD Chief of Detectives James Essig said.(Snip)The targets were part of the “1300” or “OKB” gang, which is a subsection

Washington–The Defense Department is shelling out $21 million on what critics argue seems to be the BIden military’s most pressing issue–renaming bases that offend the left. In 90 days, nine Army bases long named for Confederate generals will “immediately” begin swapping to more palatable-to-the-woke-crowd labels such as “Fort Liberty”–in a move that will cost more than $21 million. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Thursday ordered the Army to begin renaming nine bases selected for the change by an independent commission after a congressionally mandated 90-day wait period expires. “I fully support the efforts and recommendations of the Naming Commission on this important

A Swedish investigation of leaks in two Russian natural gas pipelines that run under the Baltic Sea to Europe found evidence that “detonations” caused extensive damage, strengthening suspicions of “serious sabotage.” Sweden’s Security Service said Thursday that it had seized evidence of what caused the ruptures in Nord Stream 1 and 2 last week but did not provide details. Authorities had noted when the leaks in the pipelines off of Sweden and Denmark were first disclosed that explosions were recorded in the area. Denmark and Sweden have suspected that explosives were used to sabotage the pipelines that carry natural gas to Germany after high levels of methane were detected.

Americans battered by soaring inflation since President Biden took office have effectively suffered the steepest pay cut in a quarter-century, according to data released by the Federal Reserve. Researchers for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas published new findings that calculated “real wages”—the effective income of workers when adjusted for inflation. “We find that a majority of employed workers’ real (inflation-adjusted) wages have failed to keep up with inflation in the past year,” the researchers said. “For these workers, the median decline in real wages is a little more than 8.5%.” “Taken together, these outcomes appear to be the most severe faced by employed workers over the

Two high-profile GOP senators warned Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Thursday to prepare to face impeachment unless he begins a quick about-face and figures out how to secure the southern border. Sens. Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz said Mr. Mayorkas has shown a “gross dereliction of duty” in his management of immigration and said if it’s not fixed it “could provide grounds for impeachment.”(Snip)They said Mr. Mayorkas must quickly provide a plan for what he will do to achieve “operational control” of the border, saying it’s both an imperative and a requirement of the law.

Finland’s Prime Minister Sanna Marin has expressed approval for building a partial fence along her country’s border with Russia in order to maintain better control of who comes into the country.

Six masked vandals smashed up a coffee shop about 3 a.m. Wednesday in apparent retaliation for a planned “Coffee with a Cop” event that had drawn angry online comments, according to the proprietor.
Alerted to the damage by neighbors immediately afterward, Bison Coffeehouse owner Loretta Guzman said she arrived at her Cully neighborhood cafe to find patrol cars parked outside and the shattered storefront’s plate glass windows still crackling.
“I’m just kind of numb right now,” she said Wednesday afternoon. “It was planned. It wasn’t just random.” Guzman said police officials had asked her to host a two-hour event for community members interested in talking to officers. Guzman agreed.

Watch your mouth, Joe! President Biden stunned viewers of a Hurricane Ian recovery briefing Wednesday by saying into a hot mic that “no one f—s with a Biden” shortly after he told devastated residents of southwest Florida that he can commiserate due to a minor house fire that destroyed an “awful lot” of his own home almost 20 years ago. The 79-year-old president made the unexpected vulgar remark about family loyalty to Fort Myers Mayor Ray Murphy after taking several questions from reporters. “You were raised the same way I was,” Biden told the mayor. “I was, I was,” Murphy said, as Biden continued speaking.

The 10 highest paid Amtrak executives raked in six-figure bonuses in 2021–in one instance nearly doubling a senior-level executive’s salary–despite the rail network struggling with low ridership and plummeting revenues. The top-earning employees received “earned incentive” bonuses of more than $200,000 each—more than 50% of their base salaries–according to figures obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request and a statement from an Amtrak spokesperson.
The bonuses enraged the Transportation Workers Union that represents more than 1,000 Amtrak employees, which noted in a statement that the American taxpayer is, in part, footing the bill for the six-figure rewards.

A pro-Trump legal group is taking the FBI to court in an effort to reveal its communications with tech giants to censor news about Hunter Biden’s laptop and the Biden family’s alleged dealings with Chinese and Ukrainian officials. America First Legal filed its lawsuit Tuesday in Washington, accusing the feds of stonewalling its Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for the communications.
The group is seeking records of communications between the FBI and Facebook between Oct. 1, 2020, to Nov. 15, 2020. “The evidence is that the FBI and Big Tech, including Facebook, colluded to interfere with the 2020 Presidential election first by falsely and maliciously labeling the laptop

The top executive of an election logistics software company that has clashed with groups alleging voter fraud was arrested Tuesday over the alleged theft of Los Angeles County poll workers’ personally identifiable information, which investigators said was illegally stored in China. Konnech Corp. CEO Eugene Yu was arrested in Michigan and held on suspicion of stealing data from hundreds of poll workers. His company had a contract with Los Angeles County to maintain the data and only provide access to U.S. citizens and permanent residents, but Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon’s office said the company stored the information on servers in China. President Biden complained that the White House press corps is the 'only press in the world' that shouts questions at their nation's leader during formal events. A task force meeting on abortion access began open press, where reporters were allowed in to observe the conversations, but at one point a White House staffer announced the meeting would switch to closed press. As reporters were ushered out of the room they burst into questions aimed at the president, many of them centered on a report that Georgia Republican Senate candidate paid for an abortion of an ex-girlfriend in 2009. But louder than the din of the reporters' inquiries was
