Can The EU Survive Europe’s Conservative
Election Wave?

The European Union, no bastion of political tolerance to begin with, is letting it be known: It will not tolerate conservative parties sweeping into power among its members. Good luck with that. With each new national election the EU’s power looks weaker and weaker. The latest example of this come from Italy’s Giorgia Meloni, a passionate partisan of God, family, culture, and life, whose right-leaning coalition won Italy’s national election in a landslide, despite threats from the EU. “If things go in a difficult direction, I’ve spoken about Hungary and Poland, we have tools,” European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen said, in what can only be called a threat.

It's just the complete and utter waste of it all. From useless solar cells, to bird chopping windmills, to Chinese ghost cities. What these billions and billions of dollars could have done to improve the lives of the people. Instead just siphoned off to enrich the elite and connected. Leaving only despair, hopelessness, nihilism and cynicism for the masses. And we wonder why the tax slaves and the wage slaves don't make babies.

Bottom line: Their policies suck, so what the heck did they expect to happen? Besides, they're condescending swine, and they were rude to Trump, who was our president at the time..

Much like California, the EU is dead already but doesn't know it or won't admit it. It's nice to have ideals and want to continuously improve things but when you ignore reality, it's only a matter of time before the foundation crumbles under the Unicorn farm.

There's still plenty of socialism to go around in Europe and even here. Politicians are very good at jettisoning or repackaging things that irritate "moderates". There will be concessions made to mollify the complaining. And when circumstances turn, as they will, the agenda returns with a vengeance. When Germany turns her back on the EU it's over...not before then.

Biden Was Wildly Wrong About Ian’s Death
Toll — Here’s Why It Matters

The day after Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida, President Joe Biden issued his forecast: “This could be the deadliest hurricane in Florida’s history.” Was he hoping it would be? Or is he just ignorant of the history of hurricanes? “The numbers are still unclear,” Biden said, “but we’re hearing early reports of what could be substantial loss of life.” So far, the death toll in Florida from Ian is a little more than 20. That number will no doubt rise, but it is far short of the deadliest, and might be one of the least deadly hurricanes to hit that hurricane-prone state. The deadliest record was set in

Democrats have been trying to scare voters for months. A Republican victory, they shout, will mean the rise of semi-fascism! Women will be shackled to their birthing beds! Democracy itself is at stake! None of it has worked. Despite endless news reports about how Democrats’ chances in the midterms were improving, the needle just isn’t moving. So, will they try to run on their record of “accomplishment”? Brent Budowsky, a columnist for The Hill, says they should. In a piece headlined: “A closing message for Democrats to win,” he says they just need to ask voters:

Did the Aug. 8 raid on former President Donald Trump’s Florida home damage his electoral chances for 2024 and those of the Republican Party in the upcoming midterm elections? Data from the recent I&I/TIPP Poll suggest the answer is no. First of all, comparison data from the I&I/TIPP Polls (one taken of 1,182 registered voters online from August 2-4, the other of 1,145 voters from September 7-9) show that those who thought the FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate would badly tarnish his image in the public eye and damage his future prospects were likely wrong.

Nobody has yet come up with a definitive estimate of the full taxpayer cost of President Joe Biden’s student loan bailout, but the numbers are already staggering. And as budget-busting as this one is, it’s only whetted the Left’s appetite for more loan bailouts. When the White House announced Biden’s plan, they said the cost of the loan cancelations would cost $240 billion over 10 years. The Congressional Budget Office just released its estimate and pegged the cost at $400 billion, plus another $20 billion in costs by the extension of Biden’s “emergency” payment suspension through the end of this year – a suspension allegedly

Another Climate Week has come and gone, with Earth no cooler than it was before. But there is plenty to celebrate. Opportunities for virtue signaling, graft, prostituting science, and burning down capitalism have never been so vast. Launched in New York City in 2009, and now aligned with the execrable United Nations, Climate Week, according to organizers’ telling, is “an ambitious platform for our mission to drive climate action,” and “fast.” It’s such a wonderful moment, that a particularly dim fellow set himself on fire Friday at the Laver Cup tennis tournament in London to protest the use of private jets in the United Kingdom.

While we never thought that the coronavirus pandemic was engineered to soften us up for harsher climate lockdowns to come later, we did note that our ruling class was watching our reactions to its repressive rules to see how far it could go the next time. Today we’re alarmed that “the next time” might be here soon. In November 2020, we said we were afraid that the country was being conditioned to just take whatever is dished out by power-hungry officials, elected and unelected, and were troubled that Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious

When New York Times columnist Jamelle Bouie wrote a love letter of sorts to Donald Trump and his “soft edges and eccentricity,” it didn’t take long for people to see this for what it is: an opening salvo by the press to start demonizing the next Republican. In his column, Bouie coos about how Trump is “funny, he has stage presence, and he has a kind of natural charisma. He can be a bully in part because he can temper his cruelty and egoism with the performance of a clown or a showman. He can persuade an audience that he’s just kidding — that he doesn’t actually mean it.” Anyone

The storming of the Capitol on Jan. 6 by Trump supporters has been characterized by liberals in the usual hysterical — if not psychotic — overtones that is one of the characteristics of fanatics. And we are most definitely in the midst of a totalitarian movement. Jan. 6 has been likened to the War of 1812, the American Civil War, to the present war in Ukraine, to 9/11, and (need you ask?) to the Holocaust. CNN’s Anderson Cooper, with a straight face, even referred it as the equivalent of the Bosnian and Rwandan genocides. [snip] At any rate, I have a different take on the Jan. 6 “insurrection.”

Brilliant author Tom Wolfe wrote more than 45 years ago that “the dark night of fascism is always descending in the United States and yet lands only in Europe.” While still relevant to our present times, it’s the sort of observation that can also be applied to a couple of other events playing out in our world today. First up, global warming. We’ve been hearing the shrill warnings, a constant wave of hysteria for more than three decades. Because of man’s use of fossil fuels, we’ve been told the polar ice caps would melt, glaciers would collapse en masse, snow would stop falling, rising sea

If scientists can study the effects of cow farts on the climate, why not spend a few dollars to find out how menopause effects trans-women?

Scientists fear they've found the next big pandemic threat — a virus that lives in monkeys in Africa. Simian hemorrhagic fever virus (SHFV) causes devastating internal bleeding and kills virtually every primate it infects. It hijacks the immune system, disabling key defense mechanisms and breaking the body down cell by cell. No cases have been detected in humans yet but it is 'poised for a spillover', according to US researchers. By developing tests and monitoring the virus now 'the global health community could potentially avoid another pandemic', they said. Experts at the University of Colorado Boulder are raising the alarm due to SHFV's 'compatibility… with humans'. In a lab study,

Mayor Eric Adams is finalizing a deal with the Norwegian Cruise Line to house migrants on one of its massive cruise ships and dock it at Staten Island’s Homeport, The Post has learned. Adams wants to lease the luxury liner for at least six months and use it to house and process migrants before they enter the city’s shelter system, a source familiar with the matter said. The migrants would be allowed to come and go while staying on the ship, the source said. Preliminary estimates show the plan will be “cheaper” than erecting another tent city similar to the one the city plans to open in the Bronx

In keeping with British tradition for coins featuring male monarchs, Charles is not wearing a crown and faces left. Coins featuring an image of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, face right and wear a crown. With each successive monarch, the direction of silhouette is changed. The new coins are inscribed with "Charles III • D • G • REX • F • D," which is a condensed version of the Latin expression "by the Grace of God, Defender of the Faith."
