Scientists fear they've found the next big pandemic threat — a virus that lives in monkeys in Africa. Simian hemorrhagic fever virus (SHFV) causes devastating internal bleeding and kills virtually every primate it infects. It hijacks the immune system, disabling key defense mechanisms and breaking the body down cell by cell. No cases have been detected in humans yet but it is 'poised for a spillover', according to US researchers. By developing tests and monitoring the virus now 'the global health community could potentially avoid another pandemic', they said. Experts at the University of Colorado Boulder are raising the alarm due to SHFV's 'compatibility… with humans'. In a lab study,

This thing won't be a threat to humans until the paperwork for the vaccine clears the patent office.

Enough already with the now non-stop hunt for "the next pandemic!!!!" All these things have been out there in Africa and China forever. Every few years one really does break out and become a problem. So far since they panicked everyone for no reason with Covid, it was: * 3 more versions of Covid, the last of which, omicron, was the least harmful and most hyped * monkey pox which isn't new at all, is very hard to get (unless a member of the "men who have sex with men community"), and has a death rate of near zero * Ebola-like virus a few weeks ago * this other different Ebola-like virus now If death count was a serious concern instead of excuses to expand and retain government "emergency" authority to do whatever they want, then the focus should be on car crashes, heart attacks, and cancer. But we never shutdown the economy or had emergency authority to deal with any of those.

Only a matter of time before SHFV shots become available at your local drugstore. Heck, booster shot in left arm. Flu shot is right arm. SHFV is left thigh. All Inclusive shot in right thigh. Come back in 48 hours to schedule additional shots. BTW, consider a designated driver if you can.

Every day it's a new 'menace' ... The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. H. L. Mencken I daresay keep certain people away from the monkeys.....

Blah, blah, blah. Yada, yada, yada. Pfizer will have a new version of their mRNA shots out soon, no doubt. (I don't know that. But they plan on using their dangerous mRNA "platform" for future "vaccines", they have said). In 1990 a seller of lab monkeys in Reston, Virginia, just outside of DC, had monkeys infected with a version of the "super deadly" Marburg virus, similar to Ebola. Despite efforts at containment, all the monkeys were infected and died. Eventually, "space suited" experts from nearby Ft. Detrick, the US Army biowarfare lab, came in and cleaned up the mess. And later they discovered that ALL the workers had actually been infected with the virus, despite their "best efforts" at lab sterilization, masks, gloves, etc. And none of the humans got sick, all showed that they had developed antibodies to Marburg, without symptoms. Sometimes a monkey virus isn't really a big deal. And Ebola has been around for centuries and if you get it, is very bad. The good news is that it is relatively difficult to spread, thankfully. It only spreads by contact with bodily fluids. Just keep Dr. Fraud away and we'll all be safe.

A new Ebola? isn't that the disease that destroys the proper natural barriers between different body parts, allowing the organism to gradually dissolve into an undifferentiated blob of organic goo? Why try to create hysteria by hyping another one of those rare viruses, when there's an actual disease becoming malignant in the aggregate human body? This whole "radical inclusivity" with which "Progressives" are obsessed effectively acts like a societal Ebola (preventing groups from remaining distinct from one another, allowing people to penetrate groups where they don't belong... Kind of like fecal matter enters ones bladder after a fistula destroys the barrier between bladder and colon...

A woman who says she moved to Portland, Oregon for its progressive values has accused the mayor of scoffing at her after she confronted him over the city's homelessness crisis. At a virtual city council meeting on Wednesday, Gillian Rose slammed Portland's handling of its homeless population, saying the squalid encampments that are pervasive around the city make life miserable for residents. A campaign adviser to Florida governor Ron DeSantis accused Vice President Kamala Harris of causing “undue panic” with her suggestion that Hurricane Ian–relief aid should be distributed “based on equity.” Harris said Friday that those in lower-income communities and people of color are “most impacted by these extreme conditions,” and “we are all thinking about the families in Florida and Puerto Rico with [Hurricane] Fiona and what we need to do to help them in terms of an immediate response and aid.” Speaking during the Democratic National Committee’s Women’s Leadership Forum, she said: “We have to address this in a way that is about giving resources based on equity,

It shouldn’t be shocking anymore to hear a woke political figure claim that men are capable of getting pregnant. Actually, it has become a common, yet not true, statement to hear. Unfortunately, this is what America has come to. While testifying at a House Oversight and Reform Committee hearing called on by Democrats to discuss how restricting abortions can harm a woman’s life, a planned Parenthood physician Dr. Bhavik Kumar insisted that men can get pregnant and have babies. “Men can have pregnancies, especially trans men,” Kumar claimed, answering a question asked by Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) asking if he believed biological men can get pregnant.

It's not just heating that could be missing across Europe this winter: cell phones may be the next to go. That's because if power cuts or energy rationing knocks out parts of the mobile networks across the region, mobile phones could go dark around Europe this winter according to the latest doomsday reporting from Reuters. While everyone knows by now that Europe's chances of rationing and power shortages have exploded ever since Moscow suspended gas supplies, in France, the situation is even worse as several nuclear power plants are shutting down for maintenance. President Joe Biden banned cameras from his bill signing on Friday to name a Veterans Affairs clinic in memory of late Rep. Jackie Walorski who died last month. The move comes just two days after the president, 79, erroneously called out for Walorski at a speech in Washington on Wednesday. White House officials stumbled to spin the latest of the president's gaffes in the immediate aftermath, with Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre saying that the Indiana congresswoman was just on the 'top' of Biden's mind because of the bill signing.

Bank of America analysts issued a report on Friday warning that America’s military support for Ukraine in the conflict with Russia has pushed United States military stockpiles to “dangerously low levels” not seen for decades. As part of $16.2 billion in support committed to Ukraine since Russia invaded in February, the Department of Defense (DoD) has sent approximately $8.4 billion worth of military equipment from its own weapons stockpiles through an authority known as “presidential drawdown.”(Snip)They forecasted that Raytheon Technologies (Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s employer before he become defense chief), Lockheed Martin, and General Dynamics are best positioned to benefit from the demands, given their experience in producing
