Mayor Adams close to deal for Norwegian
Cruise ship to house migrants in NYC waters

Mayor Eric Adams is finalizing a deal with the Norwegian Cruise Line to house migrants on one of its massive cruise ships and dock it at Staten Island’s Homeport, The Post has learned. Adams wants to lease the luxury liner for at least six months and use it to house and process migrants before they enter the city’s shelter system, a source familiar with the matter said. The migrants would be allowed to come and go while staying on the ship, the source said. Preliminary estimates show the plan will be “cheaper” than erecting another tent city similar to the one the city plans to open in the Bronx

Comments:

The tent city will cost $15 million a month, supposedly to house 1000 illegal aliens; that's $15,000 a month apiece; quite the bargain. Real leadership would load that ship to the gills, set sail, and offload them on rafts off the southernmost point of Mexico. And guess what? They'd never bother to come back.

Also, this ship deal (same as the hotel deals during Covid) probably includes an undisclosed taxpayer-funded complete overhaul of the ship after the illegal aliens have finished trashing it, and to repair damage from the ship sitting idle. Probably work that's needed anyway, but why not have someone else pick up the cost? Modern business in action, with help from their friends in government.

I'm not a New Yorker, but I did pay a bit of attention to the recent mayoral election. Adams is pretty much a joke. He is the personification of New York's "brand," as he was crowing about just last week when he insulted Kansas. The NYC Brand: Rape, looting, murder, car jacking, home invasion, robbery, etc., etc. THERE'S YOUR BRAND, IDIOT!! It is so disheartening to hear how that city has become an armpit. However, if the residents there don't care enough to elect another Rudy Giuliani, they will marinate in their own misery.

I am sure that NCL is sending an older ship that was due for an overhaul or a sale. Both Froggy Adams and Adolfa Hochul are getting substantial cuts of the fee. There seems to be no provision for feeding, health, security screening, or education. The ship, of course, will prove to be a breeding ground for disease (norovirus is common on ships anyway) and since the illegals are free to come and go, most will quietly disappear.

Eric Adams is a pompous ass with no brains whatsoever. Wait until one of the major diseases runs rampant over the ship and the occupants must be treated.

A woman who says she moved to Portland, Oregon for its progressive values has accused the mayor of scoffing at her after she confronted him over the city's homelessness crisis. That number will no doubt rise, but it is far short of the deadliest, and might be one of the least deadly hurricanes to hit that hurricane-prone state. The deadliest record was set in
