The city Department of Education is rolling out the red carpet to asylum-seeking migrants, helping them cut through red tape to get at least 1,500 border-crossing kids enrolled in public schools. The influx of school-age children–among the roughly 8,000 newcomers bused to Manhattan since May by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott–stands to help the enrollment-starved DOE reap millions of dollars in new revenue. More than half–or $12,725–of the DOE’s $25,334 per-student funding is picked up by the state and federal government, according to estimates provided by the watchdog Independent Budget Office.(Snip)“These students will need additional services–including language instruction, and social

Again note the propaganda. They blame Open Borders Abbott and his stunt buses when 90% of the Migrants arrive via midnight flights funded by the federal government. And as I note, the Migrants bused out of Texas are still paid for by the rest of us, when instead they should be deported immediately, as clever Abbott implied he'd do.

Check out the schools in Del Rio Texas. 1. they're empty. Anyone with a brain is home schooling. 2. They're teaching math in Spanish KMA NYC.

This is great news for illegal aliens. Why wouldn't they want to go to New York, where politicians are willing to spend more on students with no right to be there, than on the children of their own constituents? Plus, illegal aliens get free lawyers. New York chose to be a Sanctuary City, and now its own citizens are reaping the rewards of living in a community where their own kids will get fewer services than the ones Joe Biden invited to come to the US.

I would have MUCH PREFERRED Abbott send those buses south rather than further into our interior. To #5, ny is not only a sanctuary city, one of many stupid governors along the way made it a sanctuary state...they get cell phones, food, housing, medical insurance, education, etc., etc. all at no cost to them.

Why is it costing $25K to send a kid to school to be indoctrinated? Since the curriculums is left-wing propaganda the DNC should be picking up the tab.

The White House is asking Congress for another $5 billion to bus, fly, and house the southern flood of economic migrants into Americans’ workplaces and housing. Any additional funding will accelerate the federal “cheap labor distribution [network] that too many politicians in Washington are willing to participate in,” said John Feere, a former homeland security official. He now works for the Center for Immigration Studies. The inflow of workers, renters, and consumers “benefits groups on both sides of the border—governments, human smuggling operations, and businesses,” he told Breitbart News. The request is part of a budget request—a “Short-term Continuing Resolution”—sent by the White House to Congress.

By contrast, living in government housing, using Medicaid for health coverage or accepting food stamps wouldn’t count against an immigrant.
