I, the People

President Biden’s speech of this past Thursday evening with all the production trappings outside Independence Hall continues to resonate in my mind. I think the anti-Constitutional gist of it can be summed up in three words: I, the People. Biden’s 32 references to “democracy” reflect not so much a misunderstanding of, but rather a fundamental disagreement with, our constitutional set-up. The constitutional set-up of course establishes a variety of roadblocks to the simple rule of the majority. As Hamilton put it in Federalist No. 9: “The regular distribution of power into distinct departments; the introduction of legislative balances and checks; the institution of courts composed of judges holding their offices

The primetime "Speech" was also set up, staged, color coordinated, designed in conjunction, collusion, cahoots with a single network, who provided the direction, cameras, cut aways, sound, lighting, raised walkways(with perimeter lighting) then fed it to all other outlets as it's sole sourced "Pool Feed"...yet didn't televise it on their own network.

Did anyone else notice dr. Jill's somewhat subdued but obviously military-style blue jacket? Was that also part of the message? Since it's so totally uncharacteristic of her usual wardrobe choices, I just had to ask.

It's sad that Biden doesn't understand that he actually IS standing at the threshold of the gates of hell.

Sheesh. This is a tough one, but someone has to write about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recently letting the cat out of the bag regarding why she switched to almost exclusively wearing her signature pantsuits throughout her political career. A long-held secret. In a recent interview with CBS News’s Norah O’Donnell, Clinton and her daughter Chelsea sat down at a diner and discussed their new eight-part Apple TV+ docuseries Gutsy, which is based on The New York Times bestselling book The Book of Gutsy Women. After discussing various topics in the upcoming series, O’Donnell changed direction, saying to Hillary, “You also reveal why you wear a pantsuit?”

Joe Biden’s labeling of Trump supporters as “semi-fascist” is yet another example of the strategy of “projection” – accusing the opponents of the progressive left of the very things the left is guilty of. In point of fact, today’s American left has become explicitly fascist. Last May, Stephen B. Young posted on these pages a detailed explanation of the ways in which modern American leftism meets the criteria of fascism, as explained by historian Karl Polanyi and: …Mussolini’s pamphlet The Doctrine of Fascism (1932), the 25-point program (1920) of the German Workers Party (which was soon renamed the National Socialist German Workers Party) and the 1919 Manifesto of Mussolini’s

Covid lockdowns did no favors to Americans’ mental health, but many psychologists are occupied by other matters. Consider the transformation of the American Psychological Association, which, over the past two years, has committed itself—and the field of psychology along with it—to identity politics. The association’s recently released Racial Equity Action Plan is just the latest installment. The APA’s makeover appears to have accelerated during the riots in the summer of 2020. That June, the APA asked for feedback from its members as to how it might use “the power of psychology” to address the “pandemic of racism.” In April 2021, the APA released its Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Framework,

Happy Friday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. Zelwyn’s wizardry with macaroni was lost on most people because of his insistence upon wearing a turtleneck and Speedo while cooking. I would like to begin today by saying that I’m very proud to have always despised Joe Biden. When he was The Lightbringer’s veep and would do something weird, I remember a lot of my conservative friends laughing along with everyone else, finding the old guy to be quite amusing. I would chastise them, saying that nothing was amusing about having a lunatic one heartbeat away from the launch codes. They’re all on the same page with me now that the lunatic

Back in the 90s, at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal, the establishment media hammered home the proposition that the individual character of a chief executive didn’t matter. He could be a cheerful rogue and serial philanderer like Bill Clinton, but the Left insisted that was a private matter and that the only thing Americans should care about was that he was a competent and capable president (which he wasn’t, but that’s another story). These assertions have become the conventional wisdom since then, but Old Joe Biden is now putting them to the test. On Tuesday, Fox News’ Lisa Boothe enunciated a simple truth that shows

President Biden’s approval rating recently bumped up into the low 40’s. My working theory is that Biden is well served by his time out of the public eye and poorly served by his public appearances and remarks. Biden’s minders in the White House don’t seem to agree with me, however, as they continue to send him on the road to peddle the fabrications, fabulations, and grotesqueries of his Wilkes-Barre remarks, to take only the most recent example. (I touched on them briefly in in “Semi-moronic.”) Tonight Biden is taking to prime time to save the soul of America. He makes Jimmy Carter look like a giant —

According to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Joe Biden considers Trump supporters an “extreme threat to our democracy.” “President thinks that there is an extremist threat to our democracy,” Jean-Pierre said during Wednesday’s press briefing. “The President has been clear as he can be on that particular piece. When we talk about our democracy, when we talk about our freedoms, the way that he sees it is the MAGA Republicans are the most energized part of the Republican Party. That extreme — this is an extreme threat to our democracy, to our freedom, to our rights.” Later, Jean-Pierre also falsely claimed that MAGA Republicans “just don’t respect

The White House thinks they have struck gold with their attack on “MAGA Republicans” as “semi-fascist” and all the rest. President Biden’s minders in the daycare operation at the White House are wheeling him out for a primetime campaign speech addressing “the soul of the nation” tomorrow night. The speech is to take place outside Independence Hall in Philadelphia. I am following Politico’s story on the speech here. My working theory is that Biden is not a compelling advocate for the Democrats. Dems in competitive races avoid him. He is a lying phony. The theme is sickening. Biden gave it a workout in Wilkes-Barre yesterday.

There is no excuse for advanced economies to experience a shortage of electricity, or of energy generally. The world has more than ample supplies of fossil fuels. And, if you buy the global warming hype, nuclear energy is the obvious alternative, although that implies universal use of electric vehicles that are devastating to the environment. Nevertheless, an electricity crisis is upon us. From the U.K.: “Energy could be rationed ‘for years.'” "Europe faces years of energy rationing without Russian gas, the boss of Shell has warned. Ben van Beurden said it was a “fantasy” to think that Europe’s energy crisis would be resolved soon

“Go woke, go broke” is the slogan that keeps on giving. According to CNBC, the retailer announced this week that it will close down 150 namesake stores, as well as plans to hand out pink slips to a whopping 20% of its workforce, mostly in the supply chain and corporate sectors of the business. The moves were announced ahead of an expected investor update on Wednesday in the company’s seemingly desperate bid to stay afloat. As you’ll recall, BBB made headlines

Shares of the retailer were down more than 24% in early trading as of 9:38 AM ET. In a release ahead of its investor presentation, Bed Bath & Beyond said it received commitments for $500 million in additional financing, bringing its current liquidity

As shocking as it is unsurprising, an Australian bank chain is providing a terrifying glimpse into the dystopian future that awaits everyone who still believes man-made climate change is worse than chains. In an August press release, Bank Australia made the stunning announcement that it would cease lending to prospective new car owners in 2025 if the vehicle of their choosing relied on tried-and-true combustion. Instead, new car owners would only be able to procure a new car loan if there are expensive lithium batteries propelling the wheels.

In President Joe Biden’s 2007 memoir, Promises to Keep: On Life and Politics, he wrote that the late Sen. Mike Mansfield (D-Mont.) gave him the best advice he ever received: “Joe, never attack another man’s motive, because you don’t know his motive.” Judging from Biden’s increasingly belligerent speeches, he has forgotten Mansfield’s eminently wise counsel. This was rendered abundantly clear during his Thursday speech at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. Standing before a backdrop that looked as if it had been designed by Leni Riefenstahl, he attacked the motives of half the electorate.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has ordered over a dozen buses of migrants to the Big Apple, Chicago, and Washington DC in an attempt to show them the nature of the crisis at the border. So far, Texas has forked out nearly $13million to Wynne Transportation—the charter service that is taking migrants to the various cities. Around 44 migrants got off Sunday's bus, which was ordered to New York by El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser.

During this primary election cycle, a deceptive ploy by Democrats to get their candidates an easier ride into office has emerged–funneling campaign ad dollars into efforts to get the opponent of their choosing on the other side. President Joe Biden rolled out a new nickname for MAGA Republicans on Labor Day during a lively speech where he also walked back comments suggesting Donald Trump's supporters believe in 'semi-fascism.' During his speech in Wisconsin on Monday, the president denounced the former president's followers as 'Trumpies' and claimed politicians on the 'extreme right' of the GOP are 'coming for your social security' and destroying worker pensions. At one point Biden was interrupted by a heckler—though he told Secret Service to 'let him go.' 'Everybody's entitled to be an idiot,' the president said to scattered laughter. And despite clarifying early on that 'not every Republican is a MAGA Republican,

We've been hearing an awful lot, even from Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) himself, that Republicans taking back control of the Senate isn't as likely to happen, due to "candidate quality." It's worth noting that forecasters still have it as a "Toss-Up," or for Democrats only slightly favored to keep control of the chamber, as many races are tight in key seats. One of them, surprisingly enough, is in Washington state, where Sen. Patty Murray, the Democratic incumbent, is just a few percentage points ahead of her Republican challenger, Tiffany Smiley. This is according to a recent poll from the Trafalgar Group.

At a national level there is a unique policy priority that almost every politician, on both sides, will avoid discussing. At a national level a single policy priority determines all other national policy issues. That policy is the national economic policy. The national economic policy of a presidential candidate determines all other national policies that flow from the presidential candidate. The national economic policy impacts the obvious policies like energy and trade, and also determines the lesser obvious policies like regulation and even foreign policy. It is specifically because a candidate’s national economic outlook impacts all other issues, that most national politicians never talk about it.
