My biggest fear for November is that people will have the attention span of a puppy chasing fireflies and vote Democrat because gas is “down” to $3.25 on Election Day. So I’m going to do everything I can, every day, to remind people that Democrats are horrible lizard people who have no place in our society, much less government. The Washington Post is considering laying off around 10 percent of its newsroom in response to declining profits, according to a new report from the New York Times.
Fred Ryan, the Post‘s CEO, is said to have suggested cutting 100 positions after ad revenue in the first half of this year fell 15 percent as compared to last year, several people with knowledge fo the discussions told the Times. Just The News and other media outlets are reporting that Tim Thibault — FBI Washington Field Office Assistant Special Agent in Charge — was escorted from bureau premises on Friday (we covered the story here). According to Ben Whedon of JTN, the reported removal of Thibault comes “amid whistleblower allegations that he showed political bias in his handling of politically sensitive investigations.” The Washington Times reported eyewitness accounts that “Mr. Thibault was seen exiting the bureau’s elevator last Friday escorted by two or three ‘headquarters-looking types.'” The article appears to have been updated and now states that Thibault “abruptly resigned” but that he was “forced to leave his post”
