For our friends on the left, attitudes toward race have apparently come full circle. It wasn’t that long ago, less than a decade perhaps, that the mere suggestion of a major corporation openly discriminating against prospective candidates for scholarships and fellowships based on their race would have been denounced from every angle of the political spectrum. If those being excluded from consideration were to have been limited to only white folks, there would have certainly been sympathizers with the idea from various leftists, but they wouldn’t have been brazen enough to put forth the notion publicly. And if it wasn’t only white folks whose candidacies were being barred, if non-white

Doing something illegal knowing the cost will be minuscule? Why do you think they donate $$$ Billions in cash and kind to the Dims? Why do you think they made the scholarships? To help people? You’ve been conned.

We live in an age that makes such "heroes" as MLK irrelevant, if not on the wrong side of history. Where in the '60s the goal was integration, the leaders of race strife are bent on self-segregation and neverending conflict. The Community expects "better" by being socially separate from the discriminatory mainstream. (It cannot afford commercial segregation.) Young, especially successful blacks, are reminded to never forget where they came from...and to "Give Back." The saddest thing I've witnessed working in predominantly black organizations is the sons and daughters who regress, eschewing education and their futures while modeling the hood rat behaviors as seen on TV and pop culture, to the horror of their parents.

This is a load of balderdash. We've been fighting Affirmative Action for over 50 years in the public sector, where it IS unambiguously unconstitutional. The private sector has been mostly free to set its own rules, and Google hasn't been nationalized. Not yet, anyway. And not overtly, anyway...

There have been race based private scholarships (only for minorities) for as long as I can remember. Sometimes they try to hide that they are race based. When I was in college over 40 years ago, I had a friend who was on a full scholarship that was only available to "Spanish surnamed Americans." His last name was Sanchez. He was mostly Irish and could not go outside without getting sunburned, but had a great-great-grandfather from Spain.

OP, there's not much difference between those two. I'm copying a part of a more lengthy discussion on search engines, FWIW: '... I eventually walked away from Bing too, because of their owners’ habit of promoting censorship. Then I used Duck-Duck-Go basically on faith for many months, but didn’t see much improvement and recently learned that they simply harvest and aggregate search results from other extreme-leftist-stupidity-pushing services who censor with glee and then deny it to try to dodge the shame (such as Bing, Yahoo, and Wikipedia), and that they contribute large sums of money to the extreme stupidity brokers, all of whom I walked away from permanently in November 2020…so I’ve left Duck-Duck-Go too. Found two more search engines, one called “QWant” (a French-developed but of course English-fluent search engine that claims to censor nothing AND to not track your searches to later try to sell you stuff). QWant is as fast and thorough as any, it seems, and they are recommended by the fair-minded. I notice that I can indeed easily find articles that tell the inconvenient truth. And although the Chrome browser I use doesn’t offer QWant as a default search engine option, I just visited the QWant site and right at the top they provided a one-click plug-in that “hijacks” the Chrome browser and forces it to thereafter use QWant as the search engine. It was VERY easy, very instant, and I recommend QWant. Now I am very happy, giving click-income to nobody arrogantly despicable enough to presume to dictate what I see, and I’m still finding everything I want. Imagine being able to actually find great, fair, thorough articles from “The Epoch Times” about something like the Arizona Forensic Audit! And from a search service that’s not trying to spoon-feed me my conclusion. It’s almost unheard of. I’m happy with QWant so far. ...'.

President Joe Biden is looking north for critical mineral supplies to meet government-inflated demand for clean-energy initiatives while the administration shuts down major mining projects on American soil. In March, the president invoked the Defense Production Act to expedite the expansion of U.S. mining operations behind lithium, nickel, cobalt, graphite, and manganese as demand rises for the raw materials. Not only are the critical minerals central to the administration’s subsidized wind and solar farms, but they are essential for defense technologies and popular products from cell phones to laptops.

There are certain images and names that, when viewed or imagined, immediately scream “America!” Brands such as Coca-Cola and Levi’s certainly fit this bill, as do McDonald’s and Major League Baseball. But there is arguably no brand that is more iconic of America and our culture than that of the Walt Disney Company. Whether it’s images of characters such as Donald Duck, or the mere silhouette of Mickey Mouse’s ears, or even old photos of the great Walt Disney himself, people around the globe immediately associate Disney and its brand with us: America. It is for this reason that the hideous transformation of the Disney Company

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was asked yesterday about Republican prospects for the November elections. “I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate. Senate races are just different, they’re statewide, candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome,” McConnell replied. The media and others on the left were of course thrilled with the Republican leader’s “notable quotable” disparagement of Republican candidates and the voters who chose them, which somehow came off even worse on video. What was McConnell thinking? What in the world was he thinking? Unnecessarily ceding an incredibly winnable Senate to Democrats three months before an election is a great example of the leadership choices

Following years of bureaucratic malfeasance in the name of science, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated its Covid guidelines on Thursday to now recommend and acknowledge long overdue truths regarding transmission of the respiratory virus and Covid vaccines. Among the new provisions included in the guidelines are recommendations to largely end mass asymptomatic testing of individuals with no known exposure to the virus, as well as calls for those “exposed to COVID-19” to wear a “mask for 10 days and get tested on day 5” rather than quarantine.

For those of us who have never been behind bars, one of the more fascinating aspects of prison life is the convicts’ code of moral conduct. They have their own internal justice system, according to scores of accounts, and the standards they apply seem to be fairly consistent across all jurisdictions. Whether you’re a federal, state, or local prisoner, there are certain crimes which are tolerated by other inmates, some that are even celebrated, but there are others that are completely taboo. And if you’re one who’s been convicted of an off-limits crime, you could have a big problem.

Jennifer thought it was a mistake. The teacher must have accidentally emailed the wrong parent. But then, Jennifer went to her daughter’s room and found a yellow Post-It note stuck to her dresser with that same name, along with the pronouns “they/them.” “Do you have a new nickname?” Jennifer asked. Her daughter responded yes. Jennifer didn’t think much of it beyond harmless identity exploration. But a couple of months later, Jennifer received a more concerning call from a school counselor

During the runup to his 2016 presidential election victory, former President Donald Trump made illegal immigration and border security one of the primary aspects of his campaign’s platform. He would frequently encourage chants of “Build the Wall” at his rallies, and he wasn’t shy about calling out the problems America was facing due to the border crisis. Put simply: Donald Trump was the face of the “Tighten Immigration” movement. That is… until now. There’s been an awful lot of talk about miscarriage in the wake of a Supreme Court ruling that had nothing to do with it. As the pro-abortion left clings to its movement in a post-Roe world, two law professors have taken to the New York Times opinion section to ask, “Why Do We Talk About Miscarriage Differently From Abortion?” It’s an absurd question on its face, with the obvious rejoinder being that we talk differently about miscarriage and abortion for the same reason we talk differently about aneurysms and first-degree murder, consensual sex and rape, or salaried employment and slavery.
